I brought my car to Midas on June 7, 2016 because my air conditioner went out. I was told it needed a new fan and it would cost $299.04 so I had the fan out in. From the start the fan smells funny and makes a humming noise. I was told by Forrest that the noise and the smell was normal. On July 16, 2016 the air conditioner had a funny burning smell and went out again. I took it back to Midas, they looked at it and said a fuse blew out and they replaced it for free. On July 25, 2016 the air conditioner had a burning smell and went out again. I took it back to Midas and Forrest told me it’s an electrical problem and his “electric guy” was not there and won’t be there until July 27, 2016 and it could cost starting at $30.00 to find the problem. I then took my car to AutoZone so I could buy some new fuses to replace the blow out ones. I opened my glove box to get the manual out and my glove box falls onto the floor of my car. I open the fuse box and the tool to get the fuses out is missing. I went into AutoZone and asked to borrow something to get the fuses out. I replaced the fuses turned on the car and the air conditioner and the fuses blew out again. I put in more fuses and the air conditioner will work but only on low and only for a few days. When my husband went to put the glove box back on the clips were missing to put them on. On July 26, 2016 my husband went to Midas to ask for the clips to put my glove box back on with because Midas never bothered to put it back on the proper way and he asked where the fuse tool was. Forrest was a jerk to him and told him “I have $30,000 worth of tools why will I take that crappy plastic thing. Then Forrest told my husband the clips were in the glove box. So they Forrest (the manager) knew his people didn’t put my glove box on the proper way. On July 28, 2016 my air conditioner is getting weaker and weaker and then goes out AGAIN. Forrest and his people messed the electrical system connected to my air conditioner when they put in the new fan. And they won’t do a DAMN thing to fix it!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHIP!!!!!

Today my car battery died in the pouring rain, no one around had jumper cables and if they did I doubt they would of helped in the monsoon that was raining down on us that day. Midas was right across the street so I ran over to see if they could help me out. Rob one of the mechanics walked over with me and used a battery charger to give my car a jump. Brought the car back over to Midas and Brent, the assistant manager checked my battery to see if it was bad. Now this is why I give this place 5 stars, not only did they take their time in the pouring rain to help me out. After running a battery test it checked out fine. Any other auto shop would have suckerd me into buying a new battery but Brent was completely honest and helpful in such a crappy situation. I will definitely be taking my automotive work here in the future and would recommend this Midas to anyone who wants honest work done. Thanks again Rob & Brent!

I brought my vehicle here for a tune up, while bringing my car around supposedly finished the fuel pump allegedly went. Okay things happen right. Brought vehicle in for water leak, was told water pump replaced that guess what still leaking, told it was another gasket so replaced that as well. After all of that vehicle wont start. They want to keep vehicle longer to further diagnose at cost to me. They want to tow to Sarasota shop because they are confused about what to do. There are no mechanics at this shop just techs, not one has any certification though they claim to be ase certified. Be sure to ask to see credentials. I wont be returning to this shop. Forrest will lie to make the sale and upon further inspection by certified mechanic found that components I have paid for were not put on, pieces missing from work they have done ie. screws, bolts, shields. Use this repair facility at your own risk...

Had a bad wheel cyl. On my Dodge. Was told it would cost $575 to replace it and rear shoes, drums. Billy offered to fix it off hours if I buy the parts. Did a horrible job and couldnt finish the job. Took him three hours one side had to put back my old shoes. Said the shoes were wrong. Promised to fix next day after doing some research, and assured me he can do it. Never showed up to finish the job. Most likely mad because I didnt pay him until the job was completed? Took it to a real auto repair shop. Job done in less than an hour same parts. Midas told me they never touched my brake fluid, went in for an oil change. Next thing i know i have a leaking wheel cyl. and i found out on the check sheet they gave me they did add fluid. After the experience I cant help feeling that they did something to my truck. Update, 11-4-2014 Had spoke to Steven GM of the store and he fixed my issue. Thank You Steven!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience with this Midas. I have owned my vehicle for 4 years now and have always taken it to this Midas for service. When I found out that my neighborhood Midas was under new ownership I was honestly a bit nervous (I had no idea they were changing hands and I trust them to take good care of my vehicle to keep it working well and safe for my family to drive around town in) - I gave this new owner a chance and he not only calmed my nerves about a new owner, he took wonderful care of my vehicle and my experience with Midas was... I must say BETTER THAN EVER! I am so happy and highly suggest this Midas for all your vehicle needs! Great job Midas A+ in my book! Good luck with your new business - With your customer service...I know it will be a success!

I spent $1,200 dollars having brakes and rotors replaced here. Only 20,000 miles later, I started getting an extreme vibration coming from the brakes. I took it back to Midas and they said I needed new rotors AGAIN. They would not replace them for free, instead wanting to charge me hundreds of dollars. While looking into my brake problem, they pried on my front end components with a crowbar, destroying rubber bushings resulting in loosened steering which I had to get fixed by another mechanic. The customer service guy was extremely impersonable. Also, I asked him why the rotors had gone bad after such low mileage and how I could be sure this wouldnt happen again. He had no answer. Not only do they not stand behind their work, but they cause more damage than they fix!!!!

My entire family has been going to Forrest for years. I have free oil changes with my new truck and still pay Midas instead because I KNOW it will be thorough, they look over everything and it will be done right. I have literally had Forrest find something that should be under warranty, document everything and send me to the dealership to have it done for free then they check it out next time I’m in. That has honestly happened to me. This is my wife & my children’s safety; and it just dumbfounds me how they’re still cheaper than most others. None of our family’s vehicles go to anyone else. I have absolutely no problems responding to any questions; I am a real customer and my email is above. Starowesky family Ps – Congratulations Brent! You deserve it.
