Had no problems with ERA over our rental until we decided to move out. We spent weeks cleaning that house from top to bottom and left it MUCH cleaner then it was when it was handed off to us. The owner was still living in it when we moved in. One of the bedrooms had wallpaper literally hanging off the wall. The master bathroom shower and the walk in closet wreaked of dogs and it took weeks to get rid of the smell. The place hadnt been swept or mopped. We took on the task of cleaning up the place as we moved in. We got permission from the owner to remove the contact paper in the one bedroom and paint it and we ended up painting all of the bedrooms except the master. Other than normal wear and tear on the house it was in fine shape when we moved out. There had been some damage to the wood flooring in the hallway that was due to the new refrigerator put in by the owner leaking water through the wall. We had already made arrangements with him when the leak was discovered that he would replace the flooring after we moved out. The french doors on the backside of the house had 1 of the door locks broken off but it didnt effect the functionality of the locks or the doors at all. One of the sprinklers in the front yard had been broken also and that was really all that had gone wrong with the house since we moved in. Aside from planning for weeks on end slowly cleaning and a final cleaning, we also trimmed bushes and trees outside and pressure washed the driveway and sidewalks. Because of the work we had done to give it back to the owner better than we found it, we expected to get all of our deposit back which was pretty hefty to begin with. WE GOT SHAFTED. We only got half of our deposit back. When we inquired about it, we were told that we left the house unclean. IM A MARINE....THE OWNER IS MARINE.....WE KNOW WHAT A CLEAN HOUSE LOOKS LIKE.....YOU DONT SPEND YEARS IN THE MARINE CORPS AND NOT LEARN WHAT SOMETHING CLEAN LOOKS LIKE. THAT HOUSE WAS CLEAN. We had a good relationship with the owner but we didnt have contact information for him to find out if he didnt like the state of the house or if it was the property management that didnt like it although we are fairly certain it was ERA that used these cleaning excuses to shaft us. The owner came by once or twice a year to check on things and we never had any problems with each other so I KNOW it had to be ERA giving us the screw job. Do not rent from these people Theyre ok as long as their getting your money but as soon as you decide to leave, you become their enemy. Theyre about making money and they dont care if they make it in a fair, honorable way.

If you want a lazy staff who never returns calls or fixes things they are responsible for then look no further! We have been renting for almost a year at the Oaks Condos and this company is in charge. I have been trying to get my screens and windows replaced since I moved in! The maintenance guy barely does anything but drive around in a cart. He is nice but doesnt do any work whenever you see him. I have called numerous times and sent emails to this company about my screens and windows and not ONCE have they ever called back or replied. I recently emailed them inregards to a dog that was at the pool that BIT my fiancee and they NEVER responded. Dogs are NOT allowed at the pool!! We have also been getting notices from them about the power being off. I have a newborn and am on bed rest and cant be without power! I have nowhere else to go and every time we get these notices we contact management like they say to in their letter and they NEVER call back! This company is LAZY!!! They are responsible for the screens and windows. The screens on my back porch all have holes in them and have ever since I moved in and have only gotten worse due to bad weather and wind. I am getting bees on my porch, which I am allergic to! I called about this numerous times and again NO return call. Both windows in the front I cant open because they fall right out of place. They need to be replaced. This is what the condo fee is for and they just ignore my calls and emails. My landlord who I rent thru isnt any better either. Do NOT rent or buy when this company is involved. They are flat out lazy and do not care!

Everything being said in these reviews is completely true. STAY AWAY from this place. The sloppy women in the office care about one thing...WHAT THEY ARE ORDERING FOR LUNCH. As soon as you sign your lease, you are doomed. Problem with your unit? Too bad. Need any assistance with a maintenance problem? Tough luck. Oh, and when it comes time to move out, you better not hold your breath on getting that security deposit back.They will do anything and everything they can including make up fake charges. (a $25 dollar photo charge?) to keep you from receiving that deposit. This place and everyone that works there is a total joke. If you have any other choice, go elsewhere. If you have absolutely no other choice but to rent through these people you better take photos from day one with that days newspaper and anything you can to prove the state of the place when you arrive, because they will fight you tooth and nail to keep your deposit. Just an overall terrible experience. I have never, in many years of renting from several places (big complexes, independently, landlords, etc) dealt with scumbags like I have at showcase. The ONLY employee that seems to be decent at this place is the man they have do the inspections. Everyone in the office acts as if you are inconveniencing them any time you call or stop in. Just completely pathetic. Save yourself the time and money. I would rather live in a tent or on the bench next to lighter bum than to rent through them again!

We did NOT have a good experience with Showcase managing our property. I am ashamed to say it took us nearly 3 years to discover how bad they are! The first sign of trouble was when they were showing our property for the first time (we were still living there, preparing to move out). There were multiple occasions where people would come to our house with realtors completely unscheduled and uncoordinated with us. On one occasion, I emerged from the shower only wearing a towel around my waste to find a showcase agent standing in my kitchen. They collected our cash for years without doing any work! And things we DID ask showcase to do were never followed up on. Our last tenant did not have a working dishwasher for half a year and we were not aware other than the initial complaint and our direction to showcase to have somebody look at it. There are many more stories, but I dont have time to write a novel right now. Just steer clear of these guys! We are so happy to be with our new property manager! By the way, at least one 5-star review I see on here was written by somebody that works there (she does not hide this fact). I will also say that the quality of service may depend on which manager you get to manage your property. There ARE decent managers there and horrible managers there. I wont name names, but just know you are rolling the dice with Showcase!
