beware, gym staff will bold face lie to you. before signing up i asked the gym manager if wifi was available and free, her and another employee present told me that wifi was up and running. upon joining and coming in for my first workout i was told that wifi had not even been set up yet, upon asking a few other members they too conceded that they were given false promises in regards to wifi coverage. looking through reviews online there are multiple customers that have been asking for wifi since july of 2016, clearly to no avail. the year is 2016, wifi is everywhere and FREE. almost any business you enter offers free wifi even without purchase, LA Fitness is supposed to be one of the nicer gyms around, yet they dont offer something as simple as internet at their largo location. not only was i lied to about the situation, but upon asking for a refund and cancellation on my membership i was lied to AGAIN by the "manager" of this location, being told by her that i could indeed cancel my membership, but there would be absolutely no way i would get a refund on the deposit i made to start my membership. with a simple 5 minute phone call to their corporate office i was promptly granted a full refund and cancellation. i would urge all people interested in joining this gym to double check all promises and features given and described before joining, the staff is dishonest, not to mention, rude, being asked by the manager on my first visit why i "couldnt afford" to join the gym on my first visit when i told her id simply like to take some time to go over my options.

It is a really nice facility; Im not going to lie. The equipment is awesome and the place has anything youd need to work out. But the staff is garbage. The manager lied to my boyfriend and I when we were signing up during their grand opening. Having long hours is important for us due to our work schedules as well as being in college and we were told the gym was open 5am-11pm everyday. Not monday-thursday, but everyday. Before this we attended a smaller 24/7 gym and that was the main thing that convinced us to sign up because 0500 to 2300 should be fine for each day. BUT we came to find out that the gym closes early fri, sat, and sun and opens late on these days as well. On top of all of that, we were told we can bring any three guests with us when we go to work out but weve come to find out this is not true either. Needless to say, read the fine print in your contract and if the manager is feeling pushy when you are trying to sign up dont be afraid to tell him to piss off. The place is filled with sleazy salesmen.

Gym is very nice and very clean but hate the fact that I have to pay so much for daycare when its hardly open. I have 3 kids so thats $30 extra every month. then its only open certain times and only once on sat and not even open on Sunday. If Im paying for it then why isnt it open all of the time just like the gym times? I shouldnt have to pay when I cant even go on the weekends... Thats when most people are off and their not open?? Plus the staff that they have are not very kid friendly. Sits at the computer on their phones the whole time, so remind me why Im paying so much? Love the gym but might need to go else where thats open more. And why does it close so early on the weekend! Today is Sunday and their closed at 8. Wish the gym was 24/7

These people are a rip off they told me my first month would start the first day I came to the center I never received a call, email or any type of communication whatsoever and they debited my account for a monthly membership fee when I had no clue theybwere even open for business. I was told the center would open in April I didnt find out until June they were open and no one wanted to own up to it being there mistake and caused my account to overdraft and they refuse to refund my money. I was told before I decided to give them a fair chance using their fitness center that they take your money. I wouldnt recommend them to ANYONE.......the employees are liars and are just misleadingly generating revenue for LA Fitness.

This is easily the best LA Fitness in Pinellas County. Without bashing other lesser LA Fitness in the area that offer nothing except long waits to use equipment, unfriendly staff, shoddy machines, and an overall dreadful mood (heres looking at you, 4th Street location!), this East Bay gym is new, not yet-packed, clean, and otherwise a real joy to go to. Its a little out of my way, but well worth it. Its probably gonna start to suck a little as more people realize not all LA Fitness gyms are absolutely mismanaged, crowded, dirty messes and they should start coming here ...on second thought, this gym is awful! Avoid like the plague!! Youll be sorry!!!

This LA Fitness is quite nice, with a great staff, an abundance of clean equipment at most times of the day, and complimentary fitness classes including Zumba, Body Works, and cycling classes. I find the sauna, hot tub, and pool to be nice to use as well, but the hot tub needs to be cleaned more frequently. Another issue, that Im not aware of occurring at other LA Fitness locations or not, is the lack of Wi-Fi. As for the personal trainers offered, I found Kirstin to be very helpful and kind, and I recommend her completely. Overall, I like the gym, and think that some of the issues that are experienced are inevitable.

I signed up several days ago and just looked at my contract. It was originally pushed in my face as I was told the membership was $388....not true and a lie. There is a $89 dollar origination fee. Im 62, a major college credited football player, my degree is in HPER , I have been a member of every gym one can think of and I have never paid an origination fee. Also, I have been a member of an LA Fitness in KY and the fee was waived. I will honor my word for a year and move on. Stay away. I wasnt told about that fee.

I am still waiting for a manager tp call me back regarding the vending machine in which they allow to be inside the gym. The water there is so bad that you have no choice in buying water.... but wait even the vending machine sucks and takes ur money. Whem i called the number i could not evem understand the guy and LA fitness allows these people to have a machine and no one is held responsible. I will be closing my wifes and I account.

Pushy owner. Very rude when i wasnt able to make a appointment. Decided to make a comment like "so is that how you do things you make a appointment and dont show up" sorry but i do have a work life and regular life. I clearly said i was not interested and that i have my own ways of working out but she wouldnt stop bugging me on trying to make a sign up sale. Lady thats not how it works. Sorry. Lost future business from me.
