Ive been going to this location for a little more than 2 months now and Im pretty happy with it. I recently moved here from Chicago and had been trying to find a gym that was decent and was reasonably priced. You certainly get that with this gym. The equipment is your typical standard equipment youd find at most gyms and gives you what you need to have a good workout. From multiple types of cardio machines to free weights and weight machines that work all your major muscle groups, theres something for everyone, (except thoses that may be considered "meat heads" for which they have the signature "lunk alarm" for). The 30 min workout room is also a great option for people who are looking to get a full body workout in a short time frame. They have large locker rooms that have showers as well, several tanning booths, 2 massage chairs (although being a licensed massage therapist myself I feel they totally suck! :P lol) and plenty of drinks for sale. The facility is kept pretty clean and is decently large in size. The staff are friendly, especially Dan and their new trainer Geoff, whom Ive taken a training session from. It was a "design your own season" and after talking with me about background and finding out my goals, he put together a great starter routine for me to follow. I encourage everyone who is just starting out in their workout routine or getting back into it to try out these sessions with Geoff. You will not only learn how to use the equipment properly and comfortably but you may learn a few things you didnt know as well. All in all, along with the facility, the staff and being a black card member, (which has quite a few extra perks) I am quite happy with this gym! :) P.S. I give them a "very good" instead of an "excellent" only because I think having REAL massage being offered would be so much better!

waste of time..joined just be cheap on membership payments and close location..my thoughts were its not what I want in a gym but can improvise and get the job done.. Dumbells only up to 60lbs..no pullup bar other than one machine. No lying leg curls,calf machines etc. However the reason for my LESS THAN ONE WEEK membership was due to their ridiculous "lunk" alarm and their in STAFF SHERIFF walking over to slap my hand saying I dropped the weights..which I absolutely did not..says the alarm goes off when someone drops a weight.."Seriously??" Ive been hitting the gyms for over 30 years and have never seen and have no time for such ridiculous non-sense..I cancelled that day and went down the street to another gym to sign up..more money but vs. putting up with stupid crap, I can live with it.. They promote no judgement and I feel the only judging done is by them..because people have athletic "bodybuilding physics" dont mean they will throw weights at you. Heres a tip..go to the gym and workout, dont worry about what anybody is saying about you..Guess what..the guy next to you isnt talking about you..He/she doesnt care., if you are fat, scrawny or whatever...why do you care what he thinks..get over it.. not a perfect world..people are going to talk about people everyday no matter who you are what you do...Thats what people do..again get over it. No judgement??No Thanks Planet Fitness..The "lunk alarm did not go off when I threw my membership card on the front desk by the way.

This is a secondary location that I visit between shifts at work and compared to my home location in Port Richey, this gym is lacking despite drawing a larger crowd. The staff doesnt leave the desk ever, despite there being multiple people present. No one walks around to check if the cleaners or paper towels are empty or if stations have enough weights or attachments or just to tidy up areas of the gym, they have to be told when something is empty or missing. The attachments for the adjustable pulley machines are limited, there are none to use for leg exercises. After talking with the staff I was informed that the owner had bought them before but they had been stolen so he will no longer buy more. They suggested I buy my own equipment and bring it with me - which is absolutely ridiculous! If the staff actually stepped onto the workout floor and paid attention, maybe their equipment wouldnt go missing. Aside from the pulley machines, their abs/stretching area with the purple mats is way too small. A lot of people use that area for various work outs as well as stretching. The number of mats they have is minimal as well. With the crowd this place draws its difficult to find space sometimes. After the ridiculous suggestion I may not be returning to this location.

Hands-down the worst Planet Fitness Ive been to in the Tampa Bay area. How someone within the company doesnt come in to periodically check on facilities with the Planet Fitness brand and initiate changes is unbelievable. Water fountain has barely had pressure going on about 2 years now. Literally. Thats not an exaggeration. The showers were constantly broke in the mens locker room. So how did they fix them? They took the shower heads off and just left all the stalls without any. That was early 2015. The floors in the locker room are disgusting. Hell, the clock in there has needed a new battery since the beginning of this year and theyre too cheap and lazy to even fix that!!! Lets see...two of four TVs in the middle of the gym have been broken for the past 3 years. 3 YEARS!!! Knee and arm pads on equipment are frequently cracked and left that way for too long before theyre replaced. How the people running this dump have held onto their jobs should be looked at as an embarrassment to the entire company.

Today is Monday, 6.13.16 and I joined Planet Fitness of Palm Harbor! I joined because its open 24/7 and recently there was a major renovation. All of the equipment is new. And everything is really, really clean. If you are the type to sign everything no question, see any staffer on duty. But if you have loads of questions, ask to see David Moschiano. Hes the manager. Working at Planet Fitness is more than a job to David, its his passion. And it shows, he is professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. David did not use any hard sell tactics with me. He took the time to explain the contract to me in "detail". Which I greatly appreciated because I have been burned previously by "gym contracts". The contract is on a very tiny LCD screen but David was very patient to answer all of my questions. I am 100% certain I will not suffer buyers remorse. Thank you David!!!

Watch your bank account. Be prepared to be harassed because there system does not work with certain banks. Charged to your account dropped off and recharged to your account. WHAT ?. You figure Chase is a great bank. Not for this company. Management is a joke and blames the member for the system not working. One month it comes out the next your being stopped harassed and told that it only works for 90% of there members. WHAT ? Front staff stuck in the middle sorry for them. So you waste your 25-30 minutes each time they stop you and kills your work out time being harassed because there system can not take out the funds correctly. Then cancel my membership and I will go somewhere else. Pay me a cancellation fee. WHAT ? Can I have the corporate number to fix this. NO they wont do anything. WHAT ? This company needs some serious help with the way they treat people.
