I am a high school and collegiate athlete and more currently a NYS UPA Power Lifting Champion. I have been a member of eight gyms, in four states, three of which have been Cross Fit gyms. In my past 20 years of training I have learned what to look for in coaches, trainers, gym atmospheres, and equipment. Having said that, I only have extremely positive things to say about Cross Fit ATP. Cross Fit ATP is an Elite Fitness Institution. Training here is approached in a scientific manner using techniques that have been tried and tested. The extremely difficult and complex movements of Olympic lifting, Kettle Bell, and high level Strength Training are taught in a manor that will provide the greatest results with the least risk to injury. The owners and staff are always present and eagerly assist every member. There is constant coaching throughout workouts, enforcing proper form and resistance for maximum gains and safety. Workout programing is completed a month ahead of time and adjusted as needed to accommodated the strengths and weakness of the members. The core membership at Cross Fit ATP consists of elite Athletes. Most of which are never too busy to assist new or less experienced members. There is a family atmosphere here, and everyone encourages each other to strive to reach their personal best. State of the art equipment is plentiful. I never waited to use a bar, rower, rack, tires, sled, or anything I needed for that matter. There is a large selection barbells, dumbbells, Kettle Bells, bumper and steel plates. A stretch and mobility aria upstairs is fully equipped with mats, bands, foam rolls, and Lacrosse balls. Frequent classes and workshops are held to address fitness material that can not be covered in the daily class. For example last August there was a Kettle bell Workshop, a nutrition class, and body fat dunk tank. This is the type of information that you would be hard pressed to find at a typical gym and will make all the difference in your ability to reach your goals. It doesn’t matter if you have been training for 20 years or never curled a dumbbell. If you want to Squat 500lbs. or would like to loose a hundred. Cross Fit ATP is the right tool for the job. You would be doing a great disservice to yourself to attend any other gym in South Florida.

Dear Potential Future Crossfit ATP Member, I do not often write reviews, but have made an exception due to my unfortunately poor experience with Crossfit ATP. From my own observations of the training space, I noted that it was a small, compact space with as many as 25 people marking their territory to lift. Most of which seemed to have an adequate technique at best. There were some people that had to workout outside of the gym in the parking lot because of a lack of space. The parking lot in itself has its own set of problems, being too small and dispersed with people trying to lift as well. Some cars simply parked wherever they found an empty space, not a designated legal specified parking space. As an avid and experienced weightlifter and athlete for the past 7 consecutive years, I was disappointed to be shunned from Crossfit ATP in Dania Beach. All of the reviews posted here tend to exhibit Juans "positive" personality, but my experience was nothing like the man described by the other reviewers. Juan was firm in not allowing me to participate in the program due to my lack of knowledge for the terms of weightlifting. Please note that I did know the techniques for the exercises yet, his negative attitude clearly exhibited an atmosphere that I did not want to join. I felt very unwelcome to the environment and resulting in me being displeased. If you simply intend to workout and get into great shape, you do not need Crossfit. My advise to you is to youtube search bodyweight circuit training. Crossfit has a bad name for many reasons; they value strain over proper technique...I simply went to Crossfit for a one time free workout to lift for fun before going back home from school and ended up wasting my time in being told I would not be allowed to join or participate. Ultimately, this is your decision to join and this is only one honest review.

True Story... A friend of mine referred me and another girlfriend to CrossFit ATP. Before I even started people told me that I couldnt/shouldnt do it. They threw all these misconceptions at me: "its too hard - its only for military types or cops and firefighters in training..." Well, those people were wrong! The minute we walked in, we received the best treatment - I like to think of it as VIP! Juan (the owner) screens all clients before any papers are signed. This is done because ATP cares! He and the others are always educating us and reinforcing proper form and techniques. I love all the people there! The coaches (Juan, Stephanie, Jorge, Mary, and Brandon) are very caring - its like were all one big family...happy family! I worked out with a personal trainer for 8 years before starting at CrossFit ATP. In the past year, Ive seen more positive results with my figure, than I ever did doing 2+ hours of cardio & weight training every day! It seems as if I get more one-on-one attention now, too! The Kettlebell training is awesome and the CrossFit is just the same, combined they make me feel stronger and more fit than I ever did before. Without the workshops and conditioning that I went through I wouldnt be where I am right now. That and so much more is what really makes ATP stand apart from other boxes.

Walking into Crossfit ATP for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the warm and sincere greetings of the coaches and athletes. Despite never having any formal Crossfit training, I was unsure of what to expect and what the discipline was all about but I knew within the first five minutes of being inside ATP that this was the place for me..... The atmosphere was full of excitement, passion and comradery. It is a place that not only can I come to grow as a person and as an athlete but it is a place where families and friends come together to succeed! It was then during my first week that I quickly learned Crossfit was much more than just working out or a discipline... it was a way of life! Through the dedication, education and instruction of the coaches at Crossfit ATP, I have been able to accomplish more in 5 months than I did after spending 10+ years in a conventional gym. Coaches Juan, Stephanie, Mary, Jorge and Brandon take a personal stake in each athlete to ensure safety, proper form and technique while also delivering an experience that far exceeds expectations! Although my journey through Crossfit has just begun, it will continue to be a way of life through the direction and support of Crossfit ATP.

Training at Crossfit ATP has been one of the best experiences of my life. As a Soccer player, I have always struggle with the typical gym atmosphere, where everyone works on their own. I have literally wasted several gym memberships since going there to work by myself has always been boring and non-challenging. I grew up, playing in a team, and this is what I thrive for, the brotherhood, camaraderie type sports. Several months ago, I started looking for a workout I could add to my soccer training in order to improve, stamina, speed, endurance, etc. I drove by Crossfit ATP, stopped my car, asked questions about what it was and not only were they extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, but I saw exactly that atmosphere I was looking for. The place where people are friendly and motivate each other to work hard. Crossfit has some of the best trainers I have ever had in any sport, and you will be pushed and motivated to reach levels you never thought possible. If you are REAL serious about improving not only your physique, weight, stamina, flexibility, strength, endurance, but if you are really serious about improving your lifestyle come to Crossfit ATP!!
