Just rushed to this post office to mail a large package. The postal clerk was blocking the door carrying on a conversation with another patron. It was approximately 4:58 p.m. on my cell phone time. She barked at us that they were closed an told us the post office in Port Orange was open until 6:00 pm. During the time she was lollygagging around someone could have weighed the package, slapped on the postage and taken our payment. But no, that would be considered customer service which she obviously knows nothing about. Having worked in the service industry since I was 15, retail sales, bank assistant manager and mortgage lending and real estate closings it was not uncommon to offer the courtesy of a last minute customer often staying late to help them. This is appalling and I truly wish I had asked her name. We drove away from the post office at 5:04 pm. Thanks, but no thanks Daytona, you wont be boothered with my business again! USPS should hang its head over this adolescent behavior on the part of their employee.

While this post office is not a bad one to visit to mail packages, it is most unprofessional PO when it comes to mail delivery and telephone customer service. For one, it is impossible to reach anyone by phone. The outgoing message from their main line cant be more obvious: They do not want to talk to you. If any other business operated this way, it would go out of business. Oh, wait. That is happening! Still, we rely on our mail, which, in my current neighborhood, is regularly delivered to the wrong address, if at all. Residents, many of them elderly, are complaining of missing packages, missing bills and more. Post office employees blow you off when you complain. How many times does someone need to be notified before attempting to remedy a problem? E-mail, e-bills, FedEx and UPS are the way to go. I will do whatever it takes to avoid supporting the USPS.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Purchased a P O Box and filled out 2 forms to forward my mail, but somehow both forms were "lost" and never entered into the system. I spoke to 4 different people on the matter and not one of them seem to care nor even apologized for the inconvenience. Jim Smith(one of the supervisors) was extremely rude. He did not let me speak but instead spoke over me in a disrespectful manner basically saying it was my fault I did not receive my mail in a couple months. "You should have come in sooner". I left a message to speak with someone about the issue and all that particular individual did was leave a message on my voicemail explaining how to forward my mail & did not acknowledge who she was. I will not be renewing my PO Box at this location. I called UPSP to make a complaint. Terrible service.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Went there to mail 2 packages over a week ago. Asked clerk to add a little extra tape to a pre-paid return package that came with ONE piece of tape (from DISH TV) she said "No, that should be fine." The second package never made it to its destination - it went to a previous address on the box in Cinnicinati and was eventually returned. When I returned it to the post office the clerk (who was chewing gum with her mouth wide open) told me I would have to pay another $26 to have it resent. The address I had originally written was in black marker with letters that were 2 inches tall. If they had looked at the box before throwing it into a cart - they could have crossed out the previous tiny address which caused all the problems. Will NEVER deal with them again!

Worst place to do business with. They are always losing my packages and sending them to wrong addresses. Seriously who does that?! They ladies at the main counters treat you like youre 5 and dont know a damn thing rudest people in town. I am so tired of dealing with these people I cant wait to move out of this city I will gladly drive to the port orange office for my passport. I came in today for a mail hold that I requested be left for me to pick up. Less room for error. To my disbelief she comes back and goes I guess he took it out cause it isnt here. Wait what? Why not I requested even have a conformation number saying leave it there she goes well it isnt here, and then calls the next person up. I hate this place selfish rude inconsiderate bitches.

I cant speak for others bad experiences but I can say this: every time Ive dealt with the Bill France post office my experience has been great. For people using the counter, theres a well-organized number system and people "working the line" to get customers served as quickly as possible, especially during holiday rushes. When I was selling on eBay they made sure I had all the supplies I needed with zero hassle And just now, I had to call to ask about a package that a Web merchant misaddressed, and they located it almost immediately and kept it from being returned to the merchant. (Not to mention the fact that I got through to a real live human being by pressing a single number on my phone.) Plus my carrier is awesome!

I shipped a package using USPS and paid extra to have it delivered by a certain date. It was important because if the person didnt receive it on time, it would cost me a lot more. It didnt get there when promised. I went to this post office expecting to be refunded for the extra money I paid to have it delivered on time. That didnt happen. Instead, I was told that the driver said when he went to deliver it, the person wasnt there. That was a total lie. It was a business and they were open and waiting for it. Furthermore, I dont believe they ever talked with the driver. I calmed myself down by thinking what should I expect? After all, the U.S. government runs it. From now on, I will use FedEx.

What is going on with post service between Daytona Beach and Denver? Twice in 3 months they lost and then damaged my packages!!!!! The first was an envelope for my disabled sons birthday. It finally arrived 2 months later, damaged. Then, today, my disabled son who broke his leg 1 week ago, receives my damaged package 5 days late with the glass bottle inside broken. It was supposed to be supplements from his doctor to heal his leg. I paid $50 for them plus the confirmation delivery fee plus the priority mail cost!!!! They are RIPPING me off!!!
