This funeral home was extremely insensitive during this difficult time for me and my family. At the cemetery my mother wanted to make sure her mother was treated respectfully and her grave was covered. As I was speaking to my mother letting her know I will wait and she and can return to the church in the limo. One of the James C. Boyd Funeral Home service members stated " well this isnt Haiti and their going to cover the grave" Despite what anyones opinions may be regarding Haitians and our culture and Haiti , this comment should have never been made. It was unprofessional, disrespectful, and simply poor customer service. Despite any hate toward Haitians, this particular individual should have kept his racial comments to himself. In any career field customer service should be an important factor especially if you work in a funeral home.

I rate James C Boyd Funeral Home with Excellent, as Ms Avis is truly an angel sent from God. The compassion, and true love she expressed came shining through, I called may places and was treated like it was a money making scheme. In my grief she was gentle, caring and treated my family with much dignity and respect. The service was tender and she was always looking for ways to console us in our time of grief. In other words, I saw JESUS. May God richly bless you and yours Ms Avis my angel.
