I called Crystal and told them I was interested in seeing a Dodge Journey but I wont be ready to buy one until November or so and they setup an appointment for me to see one. We arrived at the dealership and were met by Josh. I let Josh know up front just as I did on the phone that I just wanted to look at and show my wife a Journey Crossroad but I wasnt prepared to buy until about November. I asked to see a Red Crossroad that they had as It was a close match to what we wanted in the future. Even though there was no expectation of buying and I had no intention of a test drive the day of my visit, Josh suggested we take a test drive anyways to see how it handles. My wife and I both liked it very much but it wasnt the Plus trim level I wanted or the silver color my wife wanted. After we took the test drive I was expecting the sales push even though I said up front what my intentions were. I was totally surprised that it never happened at all. Without getting into specifics, and probably because I trusted them after buying our 2015 car in January we discussed why I needed to wait till November. They were able to come up with a workable solution for us to meet our needs so we didnt have to wait till November. They already had our information on file so we left to go have lunch while they worked there magic. We came back about 90 minutes later just in time to see Josh driving into the dealership with a 2016 Silver Crossroad Plus from the Brooksville location and all the paperwork was just about ready for us to sign. This was a 5 star experience ! And for the record, it was 4 stars in my review from our January car purchase. We got the exact trim level and color that we wanted that wasnt there to begin with. It would have been nice if they tossed in navigation, but google maps on a cell phone can work for now in this type vehicle.

This should not even get 1 star...In my lifetime, I have purchased 8 brand new vehicles. This was by far the worst new vehicle purchase EVER experienced. This dealership and most specifically the owner of the group of dealerships known as Crystal Automotive Group is extremely dirty. Watch your paperwork and watch what you sign. What they tell you and what will be on that paperwork WILL NOT be the same. What dealership charges you $2500 over sticker price for a new vehicle? What dealership falsifies income data? This one does. I, unfortunately, did not read exactly what I was signing because this was a deal gone bad from the very beginning. I purchased a 2016 which I was led to believe was a 4x4…it was not. I was then told that vehicle would be treated as a “trade” with me losing $12,000 in order to get into a 4x4. I ended up in a 2017 paying far more money. I contacted the owner directly for help. The owner turned his general manager on me who told me at one point I could have my Subaru trade back and they would cancel the deal but then called me 5 minutes later laughing and telling me that my Subaru had been auctioned off. Stay away from all 8 of these dealerships if at all possible as I am sure their sale practices are the same at all 8 dealerships…very dishonest people including the sales and financing staff, the managers, and the owner himself. ARE YOU PEOPLE SERIOUS WITH YOUR OFFER OF HELP??? WOW!!! I reached out to Steve Lamb personally multiple times and WAS NOT even acknowledged...$12,000 down and I owe more than the original sticker price on this vehicle!!!

THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HAS RATED THEM AS AN F. THEY HAVE 7 COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM 5 OF WHICH HAVE NOT EVEN BEEEN ADDRESSED 1 NOT RESOLVED. THEY WERE TRYING TO JUST WORK A PAYMENT AND NOT THE PRICE AS WELL AS THEY NEVER INFORMED HER SHE HAD 2,000.00 IN EXTENDED WARRANTY MONEY . THEY WERE JUST GOING TO KEEP AS WELL AND CALL IT A DOWN PAYMENT AND INFLATED THE PRICE. WE WENT TO JIM BROWNE IN DADE CITY AND COMPARED VEHICLE EXACT AND THE PRICE DIFFERENCE WAS 2,800.00 LESS PLUS SHE IS KEEPING THE 2,000.00 IN EXTENDED WARRANTY MONEY. SO TOTAL OF 4,800.00. THEY WOULD NEVER GIVE ME A BREAK DOWN OF THE MONEY UNTIL F&I EVEN THOUGH I REPEATEDLY ASKED FOR THE BREAKDOWN DUE TO KNOWING THESE KINDS OF EVENTS. THEY EVEN TRIED TO TELL ME THEY BOUGHT DOWN HER INTEREST RATE WITH THE CREDIT UNION. I CALLED AND CONFIRMED THAT THEY DID NOT DO THIS THE CREDIT UNION DOES NOT DO THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY. THE REASON WE WENT THERE TO BEGIN WITH IS BECAUSE THEY CALL HER EVERYDAY TRYING TO GET HER TO TRADE HER VEHICLE AND HAS TOLD THEM TO STOP CALLING. I TOLD THEM WHEN WE GO THERE THEY HAVE TO STOP CALLING AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD. AFTER THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS I INFORMED THEM IF THEY CONTACT HER AGAIN IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED HARASSMENT AND I WOULD PURSUE CRIMINAL CHARGES. THEY HAVE AND WERE JUST TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A 70 YEAR OLD WOMAN. THIS IS PUSHING THE POINT OF THE NEW 2014 LAW, ELDER EXPLOITATION LAW. THERE IS A LOT MORE I TRIED TO PUT AND EXPLAIN BUT WAS LIMITD BY NUMBER FOR CHARACTERS.

Went to Crystal Dodge Jeep to trade in a Jeep we had bought a couple years ago to upgrade to a larger vehicle. Worst experience ever! First, we gave the sales guy a good description of the truck we wanted, but he toured us around for a good hour showing us trucks that we did not want. At that point we would have been okay if he would have just said to give him a day to find more trucks and that he would call us and let us know... its not like we were in a hurry to buy. But he insisted that we all keep looking. By hour 3 he found a truck we liked. Thennnn there was the paperwork that took another 2 hours. Second, he brought over the sales manager to basically convince my significant other to buy the extended warranty and the gap insurance. NEVER BUY THE GAP INSURANCE!!! Unfortunately, we did, and man did we get screwed! Not even a month after having the truck, it would not start.. the internal computer died. Since we do not live near homosassa anymore, we could not have the truck towed to crystal Dodge Jeep. It cost us over $700 to have the truck fixed and it was not covered by the extended warranty or the gap insurance. We called our sales guy explaining the situation and that this service should have been covered and he said he would talk to the managers. We heard from him a couple times saying that hes working on it and that was it, never heard from him again! We told our family and friends that still live in that area to never go there! Freakin ridiculous.

I found the car I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. No trouble at all making the deal and my salesperson, Taylor, was nice enough. However, the finance manager, Troy, literally lied almost every time he opened his mouth. "I got you 4.9% rate but I can get it down to 2.9% if you take the extended waranty." Gee, i havent heard that one since i was 20. He then said if i cancelled it later he would have to re-write the deal back to the 4.9. Are there buyers left out there that would believe that? Well, I did want the warranty and bought it KNOWING I would cancel it later just out of principle for having my intelligence insulted. I know these are common tactics but Troy must think people are idiots. I didnt call him out on his bull because I had someone with me but cancelled the extended warranty simply because of his lies. Ill find another warranty, and for less Im sure. As part of a small community you would think they would treat locals with respect but I guess Troy thinks all customers are ignorant kids buying their first car but his "tactics" are simply an insult to older buyers who know baloney when they hear it. I would not buy another vehicle at this dealership.
