I should have known better. I went in for a door repair that was only half done. They welded a part that was torn, but didnt replace the bushings in the hinge that caused the door to drop in the first place. They simply lifted the door up, which popped the worn bushings partially out. It held for a short time, but the door has dropped again and its causing damage. I pointed out the bushings that were hanging out on the day I picked my vehicle up, but was told not to worry about them. When I pushed for them to fix it, they claimed that they didnt charge me to fix that part and that they had cut me a deal...which is the same line they gave my mother when they did a poor job on her vehicle. Why on earth would I want a half-assed repair? When the door dropped as i knew it would, I brought it back. They just told me that the bushings were cheap and inferred that I should just fix it myself. The guy who spoke to me this time wasnt the same guy I dealt with the first time. This second guy insisted that they didnt lift the door (which is impossible) and gave me the run around, but refused to finish the repair. Fine. I wont return and i will tell everyone who will listen about my experience and show them my door. I went down the road a mile and found my mechanic is doing body work again. Theyd only have charged me $50 more to do the job correctly. I should have went there to start with. Now I have to pay another shop to finish the job that this one started. Save yourself the trouble of having to pay for the job twice and stay away from West Coast Body Shop.

This is definitely where Ill be going from now on to have body and paint work done on my 04 Mustang GT. I arrived on time and was pleasantly surprised with the level of professionalism I received from Dave and Dee. They quickly assessed the damage to my mustang, provided me a repair quote in writing within minutes, and even worked with me on pricing!! What they did not do: They did not pressure me, use any slimy sales tactics that are common at many other shops or attempt to up sell me on anything. This is rare so I wanted to let everyone in the Tampa Bay area know that I trust these guys and gals. Prior to meeting them, I had no interaction with them so they had no reason to give me special treatment which says a lot. Simply put, they were very polite, responsive to my needs, offered multiple options to meet my needs, and were flexible. I would highly suggest speaking with them prior to hiring any other body shop. Im glad I did. For reference, todays date is August 26th, 2014. To everyone at the West Coast Body Shop in Tampa, thank you.

Brought my 58 Chevy to West Coast to repair 2 large dents in the fender. I live in Lutz. Dave the owner, came out to the house for the estimate. I was concerned about matching the original silver color. Silver metallic is a very hard color to match. Dave said he would do the best job he could matching the colors. It took only 4 days to get the car back. It came out amazing! Beyond my expectations. Absolutely flawless color match ! I used to own a body shop and these guys are far superior to anything I could have accomplished on this job. I am so very pleased and would recommend them to anybody. A Five star experience. Way to go West Coast! Thanks again!

I never really wanted to need a body shop, but when I did Im sure glad I found West Coast Body Shop. They did a fantastic job on my car and it looks as good as new. Dealing with the other drivers insurance company was a royal pain, but Dee handled them and went above and beyond for me! Simple repaint of Toyota hood (hood off the vehicle). Paint came out blotchy and looks terrible under indoor lighting. Asked them to repair it and they added a bunch of scratches without fixing the problem. Wont be back, looking for a new shop to fix their mistake.
