Today, a group of 3 of my coworkers had lunch at Ninjia Sushi for probably the 35th time in the last 6 months. We work so close, that we come typically 2 times a week. The sushi is good, the service is horrible. Today was our breaking point. We sat down and ordered edamame and drinks right away. A few minutes later our drinks arrived, no edamame. We ordered sushi. The sushi arrived, but one persons order was incorrect. (Given a California Roll but ordered Shrimp Tempura) No big deal, easy fix. The waitress told the person that it is what she ordered and refused to fix it. She was SO rude to my coworker. We all explained that she clearly ordered the Shrimp Tempura roll, and the waitress said "No" and walked away. My coworker, didnt eat. She didnt want to cause a problem, so she just sat there while we ate our food. The rest of us were finishing our sushi, and the waitress asks the people next to us if they were the ones that ordered the edamame, they say "no". So I said "Oh miss, that was us that ordered the Edamame. We never got it." The waitress replies "Oh that is fine." and walked away. UHHH What? No, its not fine. Why not ask me if we still want it? We were never asked if we wanted drink refills or if we needed anything. Both waitresses were so rude, that we will never return. What confuses me, is that I have been there 35 times over the last 6 months for lunch. Its always the same group of people. We order the same sushi. We always tip 20%. We are always polite and kind. They have the same 2 waitresses every time. They never have more than 2 tables for lunch. Why cant you just smile? Why cant you refill my drinks? Why cant you check on us to make sure we are doing ok? Now we are on the lookout for a better sushi spot.

This place is wonderful. It is unsuspecting from both the outside and the inside. But the owner / chef is really personable and great at explaining all the details of sushi and the fish he uses. You can get the basic sushi, very elaborate and flavorful americanized (with all the sauces and tempura stuff) sushi rolls, and very high-end sushi from less common fish. Wednesdays and Thursdays are best to go for the high-end stuff because he gets the rarer fish in for his high spending regular customers that frequent those days. It can be busy during lunch but it is very quiet for dinner. Often if you go for dinner, you will be served by the chef and his cute little daughter will be running around playing. Ive only been a few times and now try to go once a week because I am always very satisfied. Other places might have nicer decor and might be more of a scene, but this place serves better food and if you are curious about what you are eating or want some recommendations on what you should try, you will receive a very personable experience. Prices are great and service is very quick.

We ordered delivery and when it came a few of the orders were incorrect or missing something, when I called to explain my order was incorrect the woman was very rude, she said someone else took my order, check with them. I kept telling her "No, nobody has my food, its incorrect" she told me to look again. I asked if she was the manager I would like a manager she said she was the manager... Finally after about 5 minutes of back and forth I told her I would come up there and swap out the incorrect sushi for my order that I paid $11 for... she said fine & hung up. I just let it go & never went to get the correct sushi. I ended up trying the wrong order, thankfully the food really did taste great and their prices are reasonable. Unfortunately I will not be going back due to that womens poor attitude!

Very high prices. Lunch "special" was damn near $15 dollars. I went in as the only person in the whole restaurant and was treated with horrible service. I ordered my meal, and they brought it at as to go order. On top of messing up the order and bringing out multiple wrong items, your drink is not included in the lunch "special". The girl that took my order seemed very disinterested in service as she sat on her phone the whole time including at the counter and ultimately in a booth with another gentlemen the whole time. I will take my business to crazy sushi off of Southside.

I payed $15 for a sashimi appetizer and 3 additional pieces of salmon, which seemed like a great deal to me. When I got my sashimi appetizer the fish was sliced so thin it should have not even been there. I have been to numerous sushi restaurants and I felt jipped. Taking my business on lunch break somewhere else and Im going to make sure my entire workplace knows not to go here as well.

I ordered from here last week & loved it; the prices are much lower then any sushi restraunt Ive been to, including Publix prices on their sushi. They are able to keep the prices low be they dont have a lot of overhead ~ you do order at the counter & dont offer sit-in options but for those prices I dont care! They also deliver for FREE!!!!! Who can complain at those prices!?!?!?

I am a delivery driver and work with food daily so Im very understanding, after it being late and cold I said whatever I get it..but after finding not one but two huge long hairs in my rice I will never order again. The steak looked like something from a frozen dinner. The manager and the driver both were unapologetic and unhelpful. Never again.

Worst sushi Ive ever had in town. Rice was undercooked and barley coated the sushi. Fish tasted old and as though it had been left out for a while. Ordered sashimi as well which tasted foul and was dried up. Only decent item was the fried rice which still was not very good but at least edible. Was mildly ill after eating from here.

Not the best joint to go too in my opinion. The place is not the most appealing or clean place to go to, really big turn down. The food its self is ok enough but for the price, I would argue. Service is decent enough, rarely crowded. Not my ideal place for a date or family setting but definitely if your riding solo. 4 out of 10.

The sushi is below par and quite expensive for what they provide. The size of the Sashimi servings was pathetic. They were no bigger then my thumb nail and were $2 per single serving. I would never patronize this establishment again. Look elsewhere in Jacksonville for much better places at reasonable prices.

I am always skeptical about delivery sushi but I have to say Ive ordered from this place maybe 7 times in this last year and its been great 7/7. Their rolls are yummy. The sushi tastes super fresh. Crab ragoons are amazing and the hibatchi meals are very eek portioned. Cant go wrong with ordering here.

As far as delivery sushi and pan Asian cuisine goes its excellent! The delivery is fast as hell after they learn where you live aka the first delivery. I recommend the food and service.
