Unbelievably expensive! I will never go back. I am someone who has no problem spending money on my hair, but even by my standards this was insane. I have been getting shampoos and blowdrys for years in Lake Mary, and I paid almost DOUBLE what I normally spend. I went in for a shampoo and blowdry. I have curly hair that is a few inches past my shoulders. After my blowdry was complete, my hair was still a little frizzy and needed a flat iron run over it. My stylist spent 10 minutes (maybe, at the most, 15) running the flatiron over my hair. Then they charged me $76!! For a shampoo and blow out! They said it was $48 for the blowdry, and another $28 for the (10 minute) flat iron. Like I said, I’m OK with spending my money, but $78 for getting my curly hair blown straight is exorbitant. My stylist was actually very nice and friendly, and my hair looks very good. The girls at the front desk were quite unfriendly though. By the way, there was absolutely no mention that there would be an additional $28 charge if they ran over my hair for 10 minutes with an iron. Unfortunately I will have to find somewhere else in Lake Mary where I can get my weekly blow drys :(

I have to say, I have been to many stylists in my life and have NEVER (I mean NEVER) been under the care of such incredible knowledge and talent. From the start of my consultation, all the way until the final product, Sherry and Rebekkah took an immense amount of time to nurture my hair. Yes, the prices are higher than any other salon in the area - but my hair has never looked more glamorous. Like everything else in life, you get what you pay for. I promise you, these professional stylists can not be outdone. From the incredibly friendly, doting, staff - to the plethora of expertise between Sherry and her team, I am beyond impressed. I went in with icy blond hair (with dark brown roots, yuck) and came out with a rich chocolate brown that I am in awe of. The girl that cut my hair worked absolute magic with her scissors, I have never had a better cut in my life. The transformation they were able to achieve is beyond words. Treat yourself to beautiful hair, you are worth it!

Thank you Sherry for taking my girlfriend in and giving her hair a second chance. She has been looking for a salon that can give her hair a more tender feel but still keep the high and low lights. She also was looking into a Keratin treatment I am glad you talked her out of it and gave her a much better result with Kerastase treatment. After she came home from the salon I was convinced it was worth every penny! She looked amazing! And she has product now to keep her hair looking amazing. By the way, Nikki did an amazing job. She spent more time with her than usual, just to make sure her hair came our phenomenal. Great job Nikki! It looks amazing! thanks for taking that extra time. Now its my turn. :)

After seeing several swanky advertisements for Salon Ratay, I thought Id see if it would be a high quality salon that matched advertising. Well, far from it. The staff was rude and unprofessional and perhaps if I were visiting a salon in NYC or Vegas, Id buy the whole "one person colors and another cuts" program, but with a bunch of employees that A, were all related and B, appeared to still be teenagers, they clearly cant pull it off. I wanted relaxing, professional spa like services and got Lake Mary High. Thanks but no thanks. If you are considering this salon, think again!

This is the worst salon I have ever been to! It is EXTREMELY expensive, the staff is rude, the location is tiny, and it takes an ETERNITY to have your hair done!!! The colorists dont even cut your hair and after paying hundreds of dollars for your color which u cant even really see because your hair is wet, you have to transfer to another stylist if you dont want to walk out with dripping wet hair! Everything was an upsell too! I needed all kinds of treatments which really added up. I am happy to spend money on my hair but this place is ridiculous!

Brittney did a fantastic job on my cut and style. She listened to everything I said and we discussed in detail what would be best for my hair, what Im able to do at home, and the best styling techniques and products for me. This is the best cut Ive ever had. My next appointment is in a couple of weeks and for the first time ever Im looking forward to going to the salon and spending a bit more than I can afford (70 bucks with a good tip.) The salon is very nice with a friendly staff.

Drove an hour only to tell us they would need us to come back at another time. Were dismissive when I called to find out the problem. unreal expensive for a salon tucked away in a small town strip mall. Arrogant, rude, and over priced just about sums it up. Just heard that Sherrys entire team quit due to mental abuse and scare tactics. Shame on you Sherry Ratay and you can bet that my circle of friends will not be coming back to this salon.

I have to give an honest review and the simple fact is, my hair was a damaged hot mess of gold/orange/blond-ish disaster. Becca turned that mess into a masterpiece and I could not be more thankful. Jan Garcias
