I hate to give bad reviews to small businesses, but this one is necessary. I purchased the Groupon for this salon for a hair cut, deep conditioning, and blow out. My appointment started at 12:30 and I wasnt out of the salon until 3:30... THREE HOURS for services that should have taken one, or two maximum. Only one person was in the salon, so she kept stopping with my hair to tend to other clients. She stopped once to help a man find and buy shampoo. She stopped again to mix color and apply it to a womans head. She kept suggesting that the services were taking a long time because I have very long hair, yet when I had called days before to book the appointment she never asked whether my hair was long! She was responsible for planning in advance, not me. In addition, she ended up charging me an additional $35 for having long hair. I cant fault her for charging me since the Groupon did mention that possibility, but I did think the amount was a bit high. The worst part is that my hair was cut uneven. I called her two days after my appointment, after I had washed out the blow out and could confirm it was shorter on one side, to see if she would check the layers for me free of charge. I have not heard back. At this point its been a few days since that call, and I have given up. Even if she does call back, I dont want to be there for three hours again. I will say that, despite the unprofessional service I received, the woman who cut my hair seemed nice and kind. Its a shame she was so scattered and distracted during my appointment.

I Purchased a GROUPON for a Cut & Highlights because I try to Support Smaller, Local Businesses but in this case... it was a MISTAKE! I went in with Detailed Photographs of the STYLE Ive had several times in the past, gave the Stylist... (a Young Man with a mind of his own) SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS and let him know EXACTLY How my hair would respond to various different processes. In addition to the Cut & Highlights, I had asked to have my Roots lightened. Not Only did my ROOTS and Hair become All One Gold MESS, I received NO HIGHLIGHTS and was told to come in at a Later Date to get some "Complimentary Lowlights" to make what he had done LOOK more like Highlights Were At Least Attempted. And it gets worse... he Cut MY HAIR the way HE Wanted, and the Icing on this cake is that the MANAGER was involved through all of this and Offered me a 2 or 3 oz. bottle of some product to COMPENSATE for everything. There are not enough FREE Services to ever get me back in this Salon again.

I made an appointment online using the website, and the owner? Olga called me to let me know the listed time that I chose from the site was not available. However, she was very eager to work with my schedule and even offered to stay after 5:00 to accommodate me. After rushing to get there after work, I arrive 10 minutes before my appointment only see the salon is closed and no one is anywhere to be found. I wait a while and then leave a message on the salon voicemail. I did not receive a call back until 2:30 the next afternoon that she "had a doctors appointment and he gave her some medications and told her she could not drive or she would be very dizzy and nauseous"... really?! How about a phone call. Extremely unprofessional. After telling the story to others, Ive gathered most of the good reviews of the past are about the previous owners. Never again!! There are lots of other great salons to try in Downtown Melbourne.

The service was very good. Olga took a long time taking care of cutting my hair and blow drying. However, she randomly inserted a $20 "long hair surcharge" in the middle of my haircut when she had seen me previously with the same length of hair 2 days prior. I did not appreciate that kind of business. I told her at the end when she asked for $20, and she told me that it was written in the fine print. I find this still unacceptable to do, especially after she has started cutting my hair. She ultimately declined the $20, and I tipped her for what I thought was overwise good service instead. I still dont feel good about my experience there because of this incident, which I thought was shady and lacking in good faith. Will not come back again, though the haircut was fine.

My experience here today was in a word..... FANFREAKINGTABULOUS!!! I have been searching for a local salon and read all sorts of reviews on many different places......then I saw that Blowdye not only came HIGHLY recommended by many people....but they had a GROUPON.....double score! I was nervous on the way to the salon but all that anxiety was washed away the moment I walked thru their door....Very friendly-nice-and personable from the get go....and they did an AMAZING job on my hair!!! I will most definitely be a regular customer and will send all my friends here as well. THANKS for a wonderful experience!!! Kelli

Went once, wont be back. Almost walked out before I even had my service done. I am thankful that I didnt receive a horrible haircut even though I paid for much more with a Groupon. Interesting location near a recording studio which provided a wonderful soothing background ambiance. Enjoyed the natural light in the shop. Enjoyed the blowdry. Hated the condescending treatment and attempts to charge insane amounts for services promised and already paid for.

I have been working with Olga for a year now and I Love Her! She really cares about her clients. Not only will she do whatever it is you want to do, but she also makes great suggestions. Olga is VERY knowledgeable about hair. She is chemically in tuned with whats going on with your hair. Highly recommend blowdye salon. I went in with a groupon a little afraid it would affect the quality of service but that wasnt the case at all, Olga was really friendly and listened to what I wanted and now I love my hair! She was also really knowledgeable about hair care and gave me sugestions to improve my hair
