Saturday morning and our AC is not working and its the hottest day of the year. Not knowing WHO to call, we were at the mercy of Google reviews and website testimonials. BTW reviews and testimonials really work! The people who installed my HVAC 5 years ago, I feel have not been fair with me in terms of $ervice and random repair$, so I did not call them. To be fair, I did make several calls this past Saturday, to other companies, to get a feel for what I was in store for. Everyone, except Justin from Durham, who incidentally returned my call within 10 minutes, tried to sell me on a service plan. Justin and I discussed the problem with the HVAC before informing me what his work schedule was like and when he would be able to come out to troubleshoot and hopefully get my system up and running. He was honestly interested in helping me. Within a few hours Justin called to see if I was home and his ETA was on the money! Turned out the blower motor was bad and the chance of having this part in stock apparently is less than winning the lottery. He promised to call me Monday with an update on the original factory warranty, status of the parts and as to when they could come out to install the new motor and blower. He did offer to retrofit a blower temporarily as a solution to get me through the weekend. I declined his offer as I felt it was not critical. Monday morning first thing, Justin called to say that my HVAC was still under factory warranty (even though Durham did not install it) and that the supplier had the parts he needed. He said Jackie would be calling me shortly to schedule the repair. Jackie (who by the way is the most helpful and most pleasant person I have spoken to in a long time as well as Justin) called within 20 minutes and offered service within an hour ON A MONDAY!!! Because of a conflict with my schedule we agreed on Tuesday first thing. Tuesday morning first thing, Jackie called to say that Justin was picking up the part and would be there shortly. By 8- 8:15 he was here ready to install the new parts! As I write this review, something I very rarely do, my house is cool and everyone is happy. Because of this amazing experience I will be calling Durham and Sons before this system starts giving me more problems. Im also in the market for a hot tub in July, so I will be calling them to get an electric panel to the area. Im a real estate Broker and Durham & Sons will be recommended whenever I am asked about air conditioning/ heating/ electrical and numerous other services they offer. Durham & Sons have done outstanding work for us on two occasions. First, they replaced an old HVAC unit with a new Mitsubushi mini-split. Installation was first class, they improved many details of the duct work, connections, etc, from the prior HVAC unit done by another contractor. Second and most recently, they were here to provide standard HVAC service and to disconnect the electrical for a sprinkler pump system. We were having a patio installed and no longer use the sprinkler system, so we were also planning to need a separate irrigation company come out to remove the pump, eliminate the unsightly pump connections, and reset the plumbing from our well for a hose connection and for use with a potential future pond feature. In addition, we also wanted to have electrical run to the yard for use with the pond and back yard features. Upon discussion, Durham & Sons explained that this was all work that they could do for us. Most importantly, Durham & Sons showed a sense of urgency and customer focus by understanding that we were on a very tight timeline. Our patio would be installed the next week, and of course the work we needed done required lines to be buried prior to the patio being installed. Thankfully for us, they made the effort to work on the weekend to prepare our quote, and then were able to coordinate all the activities to complete the work in time to meet our schedule. All the work turned out great - everything is clearly first class professionally done. Highly recommend Durham & Sons.

Highly recommend Durham and Sons. We arrived home late in the evening after traveling to find our AC had stopped working. The next morning, I chose to submit an online request for service at the Durham and Sons website based on the great reviews other customers had posted. Durham and Sons met and exceeded my expectations. They called me shortly after my online request was submitted. Their tech was at my house within an hour of that call. And he had the problem diagnosed and fixed in less than an hour. Really exceptional. I was the only problem, as I did not keep my phone with me as I was vacuuming, trying to clean up some clutter before anyone arrived. I almost missed out on getting to work with Durham and Sons, but they showed me a lot of grace and professionalism even as I wasted some of their time as they diligently knocked on my front door and I failed to answer it the first time. The tech drove back to the house and I really appreciated his patience. So please dont be as negligent as I was. Keep your phone with you at all times because you do not want to miss out getting to work with this fantastic company. Thanks Durham and Sons!

Called due to AC not working very well at sons house in Florida. Apparently they are very busy but I was fortunate that they had a service representative that was not too far from the house. They sent him to the house on his way home for the day. The rep discovered the fan blower fell apart into many pieces. The next day in the afternoon Durham called and gave me a fair price on replacing the fan and motor. though they were not sure if this motor and fan would entirely fix the ACs poor performance. I asked for a replacement cost. Unfortunately they would not be able to give an estimate and a replace the unit for a few days. Me coming from the North the next day needs a working AC system. I was able to find another place to give me a price and replaced the unit the following day. Durham & Sons were great for the service they provided. Their charge for their service call was price right. The representatives on the phone were friendly and helpful. This must be why they are so busy.

I have been doing business with Durham and Sons for a few years. I purchased a new Train air conditioner from them a few years ago. I also use their maintenance program to keep the unit up to date. Every single thing they have done for me has been outstanding. This is an evaluation I did based on years of service, not just one or two visits by them. As and example I say, They always DO what they SAY there going to do. Their people are knowledgeable about their product. In particular Clayton Durham,who has been handling the maintenance program for the past few year. is very through at what he does and leaves me with the feeling of a good job well done. I have nothing but high recommendation for this company.
