Surprisingly I was incredibly disappointed with Burrito San. When I first discovered the restaurant I was encaptivated with the idea of consuming sushi in burrito form. The dish that stood out the most to me was the Mount Fuji burritos. On burrito Sans website they depicted a burrito with large chunks of sashimi, tuna or salmon perhaps; and a mixture of avocado, cucumber, lettuce, and other items. Considering the fact that this burrito was supposed to have large chunks of sashimi it made me more inclined to tell my friends to go to Burrito San to pick up a few Mount Fujis for lunch. I ordered two mount Fujis and a Seoul tuna. When I unwraped the burrito I was appalled by the lack of sashimi in its entirety. The burrito consisted of a narrow section of mushy textured tuna and Salmon paste. No large sections of Sashimi to be found! I thought perhaps maybe they just made one bad burrito, but when I went to go open the other burrito the narrative was the same. A burrito with a ton of rice and a small portion of terribly mushy fish. The disappointment continued with my third item. The Seoul tuna dish on burrito Sans website is depicted as a tuna salad with spicy raw tuna, cucumber, pickled onions, and a sesame chili sauce. Instead we received the contents of the salad in burrito form, It too had a small helping of the mushy fish. Ultimately Id suggest staying away from burrito San If you are thinking your going to get large chucks of sashimi. I cant give this place any more than 2 stars. Unique concept, but poorly executed.

This place is wonderful. My girlfriend and I were in town for a professional conference, and we wandered here for dinner one night. We got two burritos and a dessert. The first burrito we got was the Salmon Rai-Hai, "Raw farm-raised salmon, crispy salmon skin, avocado, cream cheese, cucumber pickles, crispy shallots and creamy citrus sauce," and it was super. The crispy salmon skins really added a wonderful crispy, crunchy texture that was needed in the burrito. We got this one, though, because the Sumo Salmon, "Raw farmed-raised salmon, crispy salmon skin, avocado, cucumber pickles, crispy shallots and togarashi mayonnaise," sounded a little too spicy to my girlfriend, but we regretted the decision. The spice would have helped. Not enough to take away this five star rating, though. We also got the Masala Chicken, "Crisp spiced chicken, buttery yukon gold potatoes, asian cabbage slaw, organic field greens and creamy curry," which was actually crazy, crazy good. The chicken was spiced so good and the potatoes were so mashy and the slaw was a great little tang in there, too. Honestly, if you come here, I really really want you to get this burrito. Then, I want you to message me and thank me. For dessert, we got the Thai Donuts, "Hot mini donuts with condensed milk," which I was expecting to be like Italian zeppolis, but they were actually like beignets. Not exactly like beignets, but if you slathered beignets in condensed milk. So good. Do recommend.

So I cheated on my normal Sushi place today and went to Burrito San. Thank God I cheated!! The unique "burrito style" sushi (I ordered the Mt. Fuji) was made fast and with fresh ingredients, so fresh that after being over an hour late to pick it up it tasted as if it was just made. I also ordered their glazed ribs. They were sweet and sticky bites of heaven. Ill definitely cheat again next time Im nearby. UPDATE - 12/29/16 I was in downtown Miami again for business and I just couldnt help myself. I ordered the same dish as before (Mt. Fuji and a small order of glazed ribs). I ate in the restaurant this time though. The food was even better this time, as I ate it right after it was made. The staff was extremely friendly, the décor was modern but not over the top modern, the dining area was very clean, and I liked being able to see the chefs practicing their craft. Even the bathroom door handle was chromed out (although I couldnt find the lock on the door, if there was one). Overall, Im truly impressed. Burrito San...ありがとうございました

Remember to park in Miami Tower for $1! Do not pay $10 to valet across the street. Burrito San is a clean, modern and eco friendly restaurant. The menu has a lot of variety and lots of Vegan/Vegetarian options and you can swap out ingredients. We got the Saucy Tofu and Buddhas Belly burrito and Asian Nachos. The Saucy Tofu had a slight smoky-chipotle taste to it which isnt my favorite but it wasnt too bad. Buddhas Belly had sweet/cinnamony taste to it because of the eggplant. The asian nachos were subbed with tofu instead of pork. The burritos came with seasoned WonTon chips. I liked them all very much. Overall Id recommend this place if you like sushi and want it super sized! I could do without the seasoned protein in my veggie burritos (just a personal preference), but I see why they have it in there.

I got a to go order here last time I ate from this restaurant and wow was I impressed. The one item you NEED to get if you come here are the Asian Nachos (although make sure you are eating inside the restaurant or live real nearby because you want to make sure you get the full crispiness of the nachos instead of a soggy mess). Luckily I live nearby so I dont have to worry about any of my food getting cold or soggy. Along with the nachos I got a Chicken Masala Roll and it had the perfect texture and spices to make it taste close to the original, but in a roll so it was a little bit different. The service was great, and the pick up option is convenient.

After walking by this place several times I finally stopped in to see what it was about. The concept might seem strange at first, but after the first bite you will realize they are on to something. The prices are a little steep compared to regular burritos, but these are not regular burritos. Its definitely ones of those "you get what you pay for" places and being that its in Downtown Miami you have to expect to pay a little more. The service was good and the food was made in a couple minutes to order. If you are looking to try something unique, this is the place!

I couldnt wait to try this place! Its such a rare treat to find fresh, sustainable, organic, healthy and delicious food in a fast food environment. The server was super healthy and suggested foods based upon my likes and dislikes. I wound up trying several different things to get an idea. The nachos were amazing, the tuna wrap was beyond delicious, the egg plant was to die for. My only regret was that I couldnt eat and sample more. I will definitely be going back on my next trip back to Miami!

Ive never believed such a thing was possible until the day I stepped into this restaurant! I absolutely love the idea of a sushi burrito, my favorite one is the beefy Korean and if you have room try the chicken lemongrass soup. You wont regret it! The space looks modern in design and the service from the staff is great. The food was served quickly and I couldnt come up with any cons! I definitely recommend this place to my friends

What a little gem! Burrito San puts an interesting twist on sushi, and it hits the mark. Its a very small restaurant in the heart of downtown. Ive had the chicken, beef and tofu burritos and none of them failed to disappoint - in fact the tofu was extraordinary (and this is coming from a huge carnivore.) Plus as a bonus, its a pretty healthy option for lunch or dinner. The wanton chips are also very delicious but very greasy.
