We have been at Miami Fine Arts Academy for over three years. I have two children who combined take piano, violin, guitar, voice and dance lessons (and have been in the summer camp). We started with just piano and have expanded to other lessons because of how much my kids enjoy their lessons and how I have seen them grow as they learn these disciplines. I researched all the major music academies when looking for piano lessons a few years ago, and we actually tried two piano teachers (one at another academy and one private lesson at his former school). After a few months with another academy, we ended up trying MFAA as our third option and have been with MFAA ever since. I generally dont take the time to write reviews and I dont believe Ive ever written a google review, but feel compelled to write on on MFAA because I feel so strongly that if you really want a high quality fine arts academy for your child or for yourself, you need to give MFAA a try. The teachers are incredible - they are experts in their instruments and they are warm, kind and respectful. There is such a variety of teachers that if you dont click with one you can try another teacher until you find just the right fit for you or your child. The staff is excellent. In over three years, never have I been unhappy with the treatment from the owner, office manager, or any other person on staff - they are very friendly and very professional. One more thing I should mention is the annual recitals. They have been held so far at UM in recital halls, and even Gusman Hall. My children have benefitted tremendously from the annual recitals as well as other recitals during the year. We were involved in recitals at the first piano academy where we took lessons and they were poorly handled and unprofessional. But MFAA recitals have been very professional and well managed and have been a pleasure for my kids to perform in. Overall, in every respect, we are beyond happy with MFAA and highly recomend it if youre looking for a truly high quality and professional level of instruction in fine arts.

I am a professional musician (27 years old) and began taking lessons at Miami Piano Academy in September, 2010. I have studied various instruments with many teachers over the years, and never have I received better instruction than from MPA. Within one year, I had developed a surprising degree of fluency on the piano, but more importantly I was starting to cultivate a lasting relationship with the instrument (one rooted in love and an empowering drive for self-expression, which I know I will maintain for the rest of my life). Frankly, I could not disagree more with the 1-star review below. The school is diverse in every sense of the word: teachers (and teaching styles); students from every walk of life, and and of all ages (some of whom have successfully learned to read musical notation before written words); and musical styles taught (look no further than the bookshelf overflowing with every imaginable genre when you walk in the door). The atmosphere is fun, but also extremely professional from the top down. Of course this includes issues of social awareness, and if English was not being spoken at a given moment, I am certain that it was precisely because a customers distinct cultural needs were being met. EVERYONE is welcome at Miami Piano Academy, but it goes even farther than that. Each student receives instruction based on their musical past, individual learning style, and personal goals. The end result is an exceptional, tailor-made musical education for ANYONE willing to put in the time and effort. I am permanently indebted to MPA and would recommend their services to anyone interested in creating a loving, lasting, relationship with the piano. I only wish I had found them 20 years ago!

Definitely the best and most professional place here in Miami to learn an instrument or to learn arts and dance. 2 years ago, with age of 35, I started here to take piano lessons. This academy has exceptional, experienced teachers who love to teach and foster the talent of their students. My teacher Barbara is the best! My 3yr old daughter now also takes piano lessons and is excited every week to go there again. They have several recitals per year in big locations here in Miami and everything is super professional and well organized. Thanks to the owner who is truly one of the most passionate and dedicated women I ever met (and also a mummy of two small kids) :) The new location in Coral Gables is spacious and modern, lots of rooms w pianos and even a grand piano, one big dance hall and one huge art room. As far as I know they offer piano, guitar, violin, drums, singing classes and of course all ballet-, dance- and art courses. They also offer summer camps. Parking is right in front of the building (always available) or in the parking garage. They also have a well equipped waiting room for parents w a TV and toys to play for siblings. I would highly recommend this place!

I am an adult voice student with several years of experience taking voice lessons with a wide range of teachers-from pop singers to professional opera singers (and some I will just politely describe as unclassifiable). My experience at the Miami Fine Arts Academy over the past several months has been astounding. I have had one regular teacher and, rarely, a substitute in her absence. All been remarkable for being able to assess my vocal capabilities quickly and make every lesson a forward movement. My voice has been strengthened in range, volume, expressive capacity, diction, stamina, tonal quality and every other desirable quality one can imagine. The overall atmosphere of the Academy is stimulating, with a wide range of ages present. Lessons start and end on time, pianos are kept in excellent tune, the climate control is good-in short, every detail is superbly attended to towards the purpose of maximising the learning environment. The Director of the Academy is a musician herself, and has the highest standards for her teaching staff and treats every student as an individual with unique needs. Studying at the Academy is a great investment in self-improvement!

Miami Fine Arts Academy: for me one of the best Arts Schools in Miami. My daughter has been attending this school for almost 3 years now, we are extremely happy for the excellence in the service, the location is really nice and they have qualified instructors teaching the kids. I love the School! Es una de las mejores escuelas de musica en Miami. El nivel de excelencia en el servicio, los profesionales que dan clases son muy Buenos, el lugar es muy acogedor. Mi hija se siente muy feliz ahi.

I decided to take my daughter because I read good reviews about this place. My daughters teacher is exceptionally nice and a good teacher. My problem comes from the personal in the front desk. I had to speak to one of the three girls more than 5 times to tell them that I did not want to change my hours and she still kept on saying that if I wanted to change it I had to sign a paper! He other one kept on saying that I was still going to be charged an extra month when in the paper it clearly says to withdraw before the 15th of the month so it can be legit. I withdrew on 10/31/15 and they did not do their job in scanning the withdrawn document and I have a pending withdrawal from my bank account. I have taken care of that with my bank. They are thieves and only care about making people sign contracts and their money. I thought differently since its location is coral gables. Talk to other parents to see how they view the company. Thank you for your assistance front desk girls, NOT!
