I wish I had taken these comments seriously, but I didnt. As previously stated Jim and Tammy have no childcare credentials. And everything they sell to you at first is far from the truth. Let me explain how my son who is in VPK loves his VPK teachers (Ms.Rosey and Ms.Joey) Lord knows these two are total sweetheart. I trust them with my eyes closed. However Ms.Joey, Ms.Rosey and I noticed that something was going on with my son. His behavior changed. He is a sweetheart but has started talking back and was always in a grumpy mood. This was happening in the morning when I dropped him off up until around 10something. After getting adjusted into his class he was perfectly fine. So let him inform you parents VPK starts around 9am. I dropped him off around 7:45 a.m. so for a good hour and 15 mins he was in another class (what Jim and Tammy call wrap around care). Anyways, so from 7:45am up until 9am he was left in a classroom with a "teacher" named Kelly Woolsey. I have never seen my son scared of anyone (besides someone in a costume) like he was when it came to this Kelly person. So I arranged a meeting. In this meeting Jim, Tammy, Ms.Joey and I sat down and spoke about it. Ms. Joey noticed that there was something going on with him, this isnt the way my son normally behaved. So of course Jim assured me that he will handle it and because I didnt know any better I believed him. Okay so about 2weeks later I pick up my son and he quickly started to tell me that Kelly grabbed him by the armed and jerked him. He explained to him that it hurt him a lot and that she kept yelling at him. So I ask the teacher (Ms.Rosey) if what he was telling me was true but she asked me to ask Tammy for permission so that she can speak to me about it. So of course I am pissed off already, so I asked Tammy to ask Ms.Rosey to explain to me exactly what had happened. Ms.Rosey said that my son was saying the truth. That Kelly had grabbed him pretty hard and jerked him ONLY because he didnt want to go to her (UMMMM HELLO HE IS SCARED OF YOU) Ms.Rosey explained that Kelly was upset because she asked my son not to look into the window several of times and he continue to do so, which gives her no rights to grab someone elses child. Ms.Rosey said that my son was crying nonstop while Kelly yelled at him in his face then she pushed him to Ms.Rosey. Ms. Rosey then asked him if he was ok and he kept saying "no". Ok, so again I was pissed off and told Tammy that they need to handle it or I will. She continue to say that Kelly was a good teacher(I dont know how is she but, ok). Ms.Rosey did say this wasnt the first time Kelly has done anything like this. So I left it at that. Monday comes and I drop my son off and tell Jim Ill be back after my meeting so that we can discuss the incident. Once I get there I sit in front of him, he starts to talk and all he had to say was that after that week my kids are not welcomed back. EXCUSES ME? Then said that Kelly was fired. Little does he knows I know someone who use to work with her a few years back and the person said that she wasnt fired. He really thought I was going to fall for that. I’m sure these two have no kids because to choose an abusive adult over a child, is just sick. I asked him when can I have this in writing?. He then said tomorrow around 5pm...I have more important things to do. SO DAMN RUDE. When it comes to Jim and Tammy you cannot correct them at all because they will kick your child out. I have complained about the water fountain. They allow all the kids to put their mouth on it (GROSS). One day my husband and I went to pick up the kids and saw a little boy maybe around the age of 2 climb on the kitchen sink and put his mouth on the faucet to get some water. Where was the teacher?? I dont know. Another thing they say the cameras give you a piece of mind (NOT TRUE) the teachers know theres one spot, outside where the camera can’t see. Thats where Kelly grabbed my son jerked him and started to yell at him. Parents pleaseee do your Homework. -Abby.

Jim and Tammy run a fantastic child care facility! My daughter loves going, and talks a mile a minute about her day when we pick her up. At a previous child care facility my daughter cried every day I dropped her off. When we moved to CELC, after a week of she waved "bye mommy" and went straight to her teacher for a hug. Her teacher has known her for 3 years, gives her lots of hugs and positive direction, and asks after her welfare. Jim and Tammy strive to provide consistency with the Staff so the teacher turn-around has always been very minimal, not something you see with most day cares. (The first place we attended had a new teacher every 2-3 weeks!) I think this lack of teacher turnaround shows a lot about the character of those that run it. Personally, I have never seen any of the behaviors from Jim or Tammy that the comments here have expressed, and I have had many communications with them that were positive for both my child and myself. My daughter has attended this daycare for 3 years and was not a part of the outbreak of any illness. Proper hand washing is always maintained. Parents dropping off their children noticeably sick, or with lice, cause the spread of illness, not Jim and Tammy. A sick child will only remain, quarantined, until the parents can come pick them up. My daughter will graduate their VPK program in a few weeks, and it will be sad to see her leave. It is always hard to leave your child with someone other than family when you work, and I have never had any reservations about her care here. This has always been a warm and caring environment, and the best option for my child. I thank them so much for all that they have taught my daughter, the care they have provided, and will recommend them to anyone that needs a loving stable child care facility for their kid(s).

My daughter has been attending Carousel for 6 years. I love all of their staff especially the owners Mrs. Tammy and Mr. Jim. I consider them family. They are so great with all of their kids, my daughter currently is in 2nd Grade so she is there for before and after care, her after care teacher is wonderful (Im drawing a blank for her name, and I am so sorry for that) She does amazing crafts with her kids everyday, and there has been many times I have came to pick up my daughter and she has been sitting with her teacher doing her homework. Her morning care teacher Mrs Mary who is also a VPK teacher (I think) has been there forever and is just as wonderful. Mrs Krista was my daughters first teacher when she first started going to Carousel, and her warm welcoming manner made it that much easier when I had to leave her for her first day. Mr. Jim and Tammy are so thoughtful, the care and compassion they have for their staff and all of their kids go far beyond any daycare I have ever used. I was very uneasy with my child going on far away field trips, (a little over protective lol) after a month or so Mr. Jim convinced me to let her go to Lego land over this last summer. Mr. Jim and Mrs. Tammy personally updated me through out the day with texts and pictures. They knew how worried I would be all day, and they put my mind at ease. My child has also broken her leg and foot within the 6 years of her attendance at carousel. During that time carousel was more the accommodating with her wheel chair and crutches. Carousel is loaded with great staff of all ages of children. I recommend this facility and their new facility opening in Bellview, for anyone looking for compassionate and caring child providers.
