In 2016, we were told about Skyden Contractors by a friend who had had work done at his home by the Skyden team. Since we were impressed by the quality of their work, we met with Eric Stromme, the companys owner, to go over a wish list with us. He helped us with design and options to meet our vision! We decided with his help to replace a sliding door with French doors and he advised us on the kind of vanity options and flooring we might want. We agreed to the scope of work and his team lead by "Junior" soon began work. We were staying at our home while work was being completed. The crew arrived when they said they would and always left the worksite picked up and safe at the end of the day! The work was done by Junior and another team member. Because our home is a manufactured home, they were often met with unforeseen problems .... no problem for Junior! He tackled each challenge with skill and creativity. AND he always saw that we had maximum comfort at the end of the day. The 2016 renovations consisted of carpet removal, installation of laminate on all floors except my office, remodeling both bathrooms, and replacing and upgrading many light fixtures. Eric met with us often during each stage to show us granite options and to be sure all was going smoothly. The work was completed in a timely manner and we were VERY pleased. In 2017, we asked Eric and his team to come back and remodel our 11 x 23 foot closed-in porch. It originally was an open, screened-in porch, that we had closed in after Hurricane Jeanne left our porch in "disrepair", yet still had exterior siding on the walls. So, of course, we called Eric at Skyden and he and Junior came to see what we wanted to do. Again with Erics design help and Juniors awesome skills, we exceeded our dreams with a renovation that leaves us more than happy! These two professionals are pretty amazing! When walls are open and flaws are spotted, they fix them immediately! We are very impressed with their care to detail and their willingness to listen to any concerns we may have. We feel privileged to be able to let others know that the caring, honest, fine young men that Eric and Junior represent is also reflected in their crew. We are honored to have them in our lives! We hired Eric and his company to renovate our master bathroom and replace the popcorn ceiling with a skip trowel finish in the house early last year. They changed the entire layout and style of the room for us. We went with the contemporary style and added a huge frameless glass shower. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but Eric helped in the design quite a bit. The final result exceeded our expectations. My wife still compliments the room and shes in it every day. His employees were on time every day and very professional. Jr was excellent. If it wasnt for his 830pm run to Home Depot due to an unexpected issue in the plumbing we would have been without water all night. He deserves a raise! They finished inside the time frame Eric gave us which we really appreciated because they were using our mater bedroom as the only access. No mess to clean up afterward either. We cant tell you how much we appreciate your creative eye and great workmanship Eric. We hated this bathroom before. Now, we take showers just to enjoy the room! Thanks again Eric and the Skyden Crew!!

Hired to fix hole in ceiling. Said theyd come Wednesday but canceled until Thursday. Came Thursday but said job was bigger than they thought so they would come back Tuesday. Came on Tuesday but didnt finish. Said they would be back Thursday afternoon. I called Thursday morning and asked what time they were coming. Was told they would be here when boss released them fr current job. I called back at 2:00 only to be told they werent coming! Said they would be back Friday afternoon, but i had no reason to believe them, so they wont be coming back. If you like feeling that youre low priority and youve got forever to wait for your job to be done, this is the company for you!

I recently discovered a roof leak which caused damage in my garage and external stucco. Thought Id need three contractors: roofer, stucco and drywall. I called Eric of Skyden Contractors who was able to meet all my repair needs. From the time he came out to make an estimate to the time the work was completed, Eric was involved the whole time. While his crew were excellent and communicated directly with me, it was nice to know Eric was keeping his eye on things. The work done on my house was completed on time, under budget and to my total satisfaction. I highly recommend this contractor.
