The research and the visit I made before putting my son in really impressed me, but not soon after I put him in I was fooled! The main director is very nice and caring, but she has too much to handle and not enough help. Thats their first problem. It seems they were in too much of a rush to open their doors and didnt make the time to hire qualified teachers. When they were promoting in downtown gardens I explained to them that my son has a bit of speech delay and is not use to being around children, they told me that every child is welcome. The director also told me that they need children like my son to help other kids learn how to be sensitive and it would help my son develop as well. This was such a relief to finally find a great preschool that seemed so positive and accommodating in a new city I had just moved to. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! Only 9 days after my son had been there they suspended him for two weeks because he was hyper and they didnt hire enough teachers yet. His two year old classroom only had one teacher and the director would bounce from his large class to another large class without anyone being up front when someone would walk in. So two weeks went by, my son was so sad at home and finally happy again to go to school. Everyday I picked him up they would complain how he didnt want to sit down at reading time or he would want to go and play and not sit still. News flash, hes a toddler boy thats what some of them do! I was uncomfortable at one pick up I saw this random new teacher (they wouldnt even notify parents to let them know a new teacher was teaching and the old one left) who looked 20 years old, yelling at the other students to lay down and any child that got up shed scream at them to lay back down. Red flag. I then was contacted by another mother to tell me that this teacher was talking about my son behind my back to another mother (which is illegal to discuss any other student with anyone else) & I quote, "I think ____ is mental." WHAT?! EXCUSE ME! Who on earth does this "teacher" think she is to A. Talk about my son behind my back to someone random & B. Gossip about an innocent child whos in a new city, new people, new surroundings, something hes not use to and it was explained in the beginning that he had a hearing loss and a little delay. He was not diagnosed with any mental disability and even if he was she would have no right to say the word she used or to discuss it behind my back. I immediately took my son out of that school and called her out in front of the director about it (which she did nothing about except say sorry and blamed it on bad English). The other mother told me later on after seeing her that she took her son out as well, it was very poorly managed and she was never comfortable after our incident to leave her son with them. You count on these preschools that you pay good money for to treat your child like family and let them learn in a safe environment. That was anything but safe! You should never have a bad feeling when entering or leaving. Thankfully now my son goes to a wonderful school and is thriving! To the teacher who bullied my son I salute you with my middle finger!

Stop what you are doing and go tour this daycare! I cannot say enough great things about them! The staff is fantastic and they truly takes the time to get to know each child and their parent(s)/guardian(s). It is really a family feeling here. I know my son loves each of his teachers as he lights up when he sees them and he gets really excited. That is such a great feeling to have when you are leaving your child in their care for 40 hours a week. The owner is really hands on which is great! I can go on and on about the staff as they have FAR exceeded first time mom worries. The facility is new and kept in immaculate shape! I never worry about cleanliness. My son is still in the infant room, but he always comes home with crafts they completed during the day. They take the time to do several different activities with the kids that get them engaged. The curriculum from day one is way above average compared to other daycare centers. The kids do not even realize they are learning because the activities are integrated so well. They also have water day (weather permitting) during the summer which I think all the kids always enjoy. The playground is walled in so you do not have to worry about creepy people watching your children while they play. Each room at the daycare is stocked with books/toys that are age appropriate. I always see the kids smiling and playing when I drop my son of at his room. I can honestly say you will not go wrong by attending this daycare!

We are so happy with TLE for our son. They have a great new facility and we cannot say enough about the staff. The facility is secure, and theres no chance of someone getting there and taking off with a kid that isnt theirs. The important thing for us was that they accept infants, and we were very reassured when we took the tour, saw the facilities and met the teachers. Compared to some other places we toured, this place was clean and safe, and the teachers had good practices around feeding and diaper changing. All of the teachers and administrators there are very caring and take time to get to know all the children and parents. We are greeted with smiles every morning, and all of the teachers know us and our son (even the teachers from other rooms). The teachers spend quality time with each of their students, and we enjoy all of the neat little crafts that get sent home each week. For the older children (toddlers and up) they have an outdoor play area, a "rainy day room" and a special play room that looks like a little town. They also have facilities on-site where the staff can prepare food for lunches. Its a nut-free facility to accommodate children with sensitivities, and there are warnings everywhere about this. Also, if you are an FPL employee, be sure to ask about the company discount.

My son has been going to TLE for a little over 5 months and we are extremely happy with the choice we made to move him there. I believe that he is pleased with our decision as well; he enjoys going in every morning and seeing his friends and teachers and always has a smile on his face when we arrive to pick him up. The facility is extremely secure, which is a huge step up from the "security" we experienced with the last daycare center he was at. The center is also extremely inviting, clean and well kept. The owner is a wonderful lady who truly cares about the children and their well being. I know that with most daycare centers turn over with staff can be an issue, but I have always felt like when these issues have come up the owner has done everything she can to fix them ASAP. Fortunately, I can say that I have been happy with all of the teachers that my son has had thus far. He has definitely learned a lot in the last 5 months and I experience that watching him everyday. All of the staff members that I have encountered are happy, polite and know my son by name. I would definitely recommend The Learning Experience if you are looking for a great daycare!
