As an inveterate planner and list maker as well as a veteran event planner and Exec Assistant, I knew having a wedding planner would be necessary! In addition, I was one month new to Pensacola (Husband is an XO in the Coast Guard here on NAS) having moved here from DC (Im originally from Seattle and hes from L.A.). I hired MeganKEvents to plan our wedding this past March at the Pensacola Country Club. Megan and her extraordinary team were so on top of things that I never once felt the urge to micromanage. I was able to completely pass over the reins and enjoy being a bride and focus on my husband, family and friends. Absolutely zero stress! We mingled and enjoyed ourselves trusting Megan to let us know when to cut the cake or toss the bouquet. Also any time I (or my parents or Stephen) left the crowd, they would be there to help refresh (she held onto my lipstick and powder so I didnt have to worry about it!) and take notes on any concerns etc. Despite all of the constant hand and feet waiting, I never once felt like they were obnoxious or intrusive. So much so that when I saw photos post, I kept remarking, so THATs where they were hiding out keeping an eye on things from! Guests even commented on how nice and friendly and how attentive they were. They kept things running smoothly and on time without it feeling rushed or structured. Our wedding felt exactly what I intended it to. A high quality event at an elegant venue yet family and friends focused and as comfortable and relaxed as a house party. We opted for the limited planning package as I knew I could do a lot of the planning and prep myself. It included a venue tour, a few one on one meetings to make sure on top of things, vendor contact (Megan would handle all the contracts and payments), complete month of assistance (tying up the loose ends, payments, point of contact for any guest questions) and full rehearsal and day of wedding assistance. My dad, a notorious penny pincher, before knowing their cost even remarked that they deserved another 50% for how smoothly the planning process and the day went! The week prior to the meeting, they handled every wrench we threw their way with efficiency and professionalism (last minute favor ideas, shoe savers, custom lace from my dress hankie gift for my mom - Megans idea btw, etc). I also am a DIYer and wanted to design a bunch of the decor. Megan referred me to her in house designer, Christine. What a wonderful collaboration! She instantly got my vision, NW meets beachy chic. She incorporated all of my designs (programs, signage, chair backers, knick knacks, lawn games etc), let me borrow some of her material, and supplemented with her props and stunning florals. While she was not available the day of the wedding to do the flowers and set up, her colleague, Dottie was absolutely incredible! My bar was pretty high having already seen their portfolio and some of the designs they had created for our wedding, but to see it all together the day of, WOW - completely surpassed the bar! Incredible! As evident from all my text above, I cant recommend Megan enough! She is truly a tribute to her profession. Shes got a killer team of gals including her designers, Christine and Dottie. Also, each and every one of her vendor recommendations were spot on! My only regret is we couldnt have two weddings. One for us and one for us to be guests at!

MEgan and her team of professionals were absolutely fantastic in planning our beautiful Pensacola Beach wedding. It started with a simple phone call to just talk and "meet" MEgan. Since my wife Sharon and I both live out of state, work non stop at the hospital, and live a fair distance away, we needed someone that would "take care of every detail"...and MEgan and her team did just that. She was recommended highly and we were sure lucky to listen. We had our children and significant others fly in from all over the USA, our brothers and sisters and their families do the same, along with a very few close friends. We rented an elegant beach home where MEgan visited, then sent pictures, and suggested how we would make this into our beautiful reception party. Then MEgan and her floral designer, Christine, transformed the home into something out of a magazine...moving furniture out and flowers, tables, candles and works of art in. Christine then proceeded to build the perfect Arbor decorated with unbelievable flowers for our wedding ceremony, along with the flowers on the doorsteps and inside the home to greet our families and guests. It was magical. David, the chef that works with MEgans team, was extraordinary. A culinary genius and a great guy to work with. The food was enjoyed by all. David even prepared food for the pre wedding Gulf fishing trip the day before and would have been even tastier if not for the 4-6 foot swells that day...but fun and lots of fish caught anyway. MEgan suggested the perfect string quartet to play at our evening wedding. They even learned new musical scores that we requested and played beautifully. She even introduced us to the absolute best minster to say our vowels. Dr. Geoffrey was calm, funny, and a great person to entrust such an important event The June sun let up about the right time with gentle clouds rolling in for a perfect sky. Everything was casual with no shoes, ties, or coats allowed. Only casual beachwear would be appropriate. Guests were treated to my special recipe of margaritas by waiters and waitresses on the beach to get them "primed" for the wedding. The ceremony was absolutely incredible and MEgan and her entire team were there to make sure that everything went perfectly. She was amazed that we allowed our little grand nephew and niece to carry the actual wedding bands tied to the starfish though the beautiful white sand to the arbor...but we knew that James and Savannah would do their job without a mishap! She would have known this had she already seen them dance later to Flo-Rida during the reception! We loved MEgan and her team so much that we returned to Pensacola Beach several months later, just to get together to say high and go to dinner. But, of course, with how popular MEgan K Events are, we had to plan it around the weddings that they were in charge of during our stay. Every one of our families and friends that attended the ceremony have commented that this was perhaps the most beautiful, elegant, and most importantly FUN wedding that they had ever attended. From the very first meeting, I instantly felt a connection, sense of organization, energy and genuine desire to make my daughter’s wedding the most beautiful and special day of our lives. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! Being the frugal type, I was surprised at the cost. I figured I could have handled this is at a fraction of the cost. Was I ever wrong! The time, patience, communication, guidance, and total professionalism that Megan displayed throughout this event was impeccable. By far, the best money I have ever spent! Im a bit of a control freak (being honest) but felt so comfortable having Megan steer through the day - and she pulled off WAY better than I envisioned. She was the go to person coordinating everything on our behalf. Best decision I made. Period. She proved herself time and time again with a level of enthusiasm and energy that allowed me to relax and not worry about any details during a potentially very stressful time. There was no doubt Megan had our best interest at heart and constantly made us feel as if my daughter’s wedding was her number one priority. Megan, you were my saving grace. Thank you so much for everything - all the calls and meetings, emails and checklists. Thanks for keeping us calm, putting out fires and just getting stuff done. :) Youre incredibly sweet and thoughtful and great at your job! I could have not done it without you! Perhaps the wedding day was her finest work! I did not have to worry about a single thing on my daughter’s wedding day, and it was so comforting to know that we were in good hands. She ensured everyone involved knew exactly where to be, what to do and when to do it. Everything was planned, implemented and executed with perfection! When we walked into the reception, we were blown away by how incredible everything looked, and our guests were super impressed too! Not only did Megan get our vision perfectly, but she was there the whole day and night to make sure everything was spot on. Every time I needed something, I just asked and it was there. I cannot imagine working with anyone else and I am SO happy that we had you! Megan, you were such a blessing to me and I can’t thank you enough for everything you did!
