I sincerely cannot say enough good things about Social Butterfly. Everyone on their staff was highly professional, timely, friendly, engaging, and thoughtful. We selected their Day of Coordination package but that really extended well beyond just the wedding day. We knew they really cared about us as a couple and they were just as invested in our wedding day going as we hoped it would, as we were. Unfortunately for us, we had a major vendor issue arise on our day, but thankfully we had Lauren and Lynette there to show us exactly why we hired them as Day of Coordinators. They handled the situation professionally, discretely (guests had no idea there was an issue), and efficiently. Here is what happened on our day as well as how they handled the situation like the pros they are: We hired a DJ service to provide music for our full event (ceremony, cocktail hour/picture time, and reception) but our DJ was a no-show until 15 minutes before our reception started. They didnt panic or leave it up to my husband and I to figure out how to handle this unforeseen situation. Instead, they immediately came up with backup plans (which they already put into place for the ceremony), were constantly contacting our hired DJ, and then informed me about what was going on. I knew I could trust them to handle this because they were already doing so before I was aware anything was wrong. I told them to do what they needed to do and well be happy as long as there was music. They delivered. We had music at our ceremony. During cocktail hour/pictures, they continued to work out the DJ problem and, after checking with me, they even went so far as to asking one of their friends who is a professional DJ to come to our wedding because they didnt think our hired DJ was going to show up at all. Our DJ showed up 15 minutes before the reception started but that didnt solve the entire problem. He was flustered and unsure about emceeing so he chose not to emcee at all. Lauren and Lynette realized this so they took it upon themselves to prompt him to keep him on schedule as well as announced to the appropriate people that their part was coming up (i.e. father/daughter dance, toasts, etc). Once open dancing started, they could finally step back from the whole DJ mess. It is extraordinary what they did to handle the entire DJ debacle but thats not all they did on the wedding day. They still handled all the other wedding coordination obligations: maintained the schedule for everyone, interacted with all the vendors, oversaw the production of the whole day, and completed setup/tear down of decor. I cannot image what we would have done without them. Having a major vendor issue, like a no show DJ, could push anyone over the edge on a stress filled day like your wedding day. Having them on our team allowed us to stay calm and put all our trust in their abilities to solve the problems we encountered. Seriously, our wedding day would not have turned out to be a spectacular event without their help. If you want a team you can fully trust and count on, hire Social Butterfly. You wont regret it at all. They started out as professionals that we hired to assist with our wedding day; now, we can happily call them friends.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Social Butterfly. Lauren and Lynette are incredibly creative and professional and are two of the nicest people. Right when you meet them, you realize how much they care about their clients and how much they enjoy their jobs. Even though I’m sure they have many clients at a time, they gave us such personal and attentive care—every question I sent them via email was answered in a timely manner and they were always emailing me to keep me up-to-date on any ideas they had or any decisions I needed to make. We used Social Butterfly for their full service wedding planning, so we were working with Lauren and Lynette throughout the whole process. Every single vendor that they recommended to us was exactly what we wanted and exceeded all expectations. We were doing a significant part of the vendor selection from out of town, so we really had to rely on their advice for our vendor selection. And they were exactly right with every single one! When it came to putting together a design plan, they fully understood my vision and created an event that was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. When we had our meetings about the décor, I loved every single detail they had picked out for us—I don’t think I had to ask them to change a single thing. They made the process of picking out wedding décor fun and stress-free, which is quite an accomplishment. When it came to the wedding weekend events, they were with us through every minute. They had a timeline for the wedding events sent out to us and all our vendors two weeks in advance of the wedding, so we weren’t having to rush around and worry about anything at the last minute. There were a couple of minor issues on the wedding day (i.e., not enough tables for the caterer) that we never even knew about until after the event was over because they took care of all the issues immediately. We loved working with Social Butterfly because having them there allowed us to enjoy every moment of our day. We could just spend time with our family and friends and soak in the experience. Working with them helped us have a wedding day where the focus could be on the people who love and care for us, rather than stressing about all the details. I would highly recommend Social Butterfly to anyone planning a wedding in the area. You will not be disappointed!

Im a mother of the bride and my daughter actually interned for Social Butterfly when she was in college so I knew how hard these girls work and how they take the stress of the day and the rehearsal off of you. We just had the day of service but if you dont know much about planning a wedding I recommend you book them for all of the planning, including their floral work. Just tell them what you have in mind and trust them to do the booking, decorating and all of the stressful work and just enjoy being a bride and finding that perfect dress. We took a lot of glassware and candy for a candy buffet that we had designed and Hannah and her girls set it up perfectly. They set up the decor in the cocktail hour and also at all of the place settings and the table numbers, the place card table, wall decor, ceiling decor etc., etc.. We had so many compliments on everything. Most all of the things I had planned on doing myself (because I have control issues and thought that the Social Butterfly girls already had too much to do) the girls ended up doing for me which made my day a whole lot less stressful. I was so thankful Angie had hired them. They even packed up everything at the end of the night and loaded our box truck up that was out in the parking lot. I never expected they would have been that much help but they went way above and beyond what I had imagined that they would take care of. I highly recommend Social Butterfly for your next event. They not only work in Bloomington but will also travel to Indianapolis, Columbus, etc. Take the stress out of planning a wedding and let the professionals take care of it all. I wish we had let them take care of a lot more things actually.
