I had debated for a while about posting a review of Suncoast Academy because my child is still enrolled at the school. In hopes of correcting some of these issues, I decided post the review. I can say that I have never had significant concerns about my childs safety. However, I can assure you that I will not use this center once my child enters elementary school. I have a number of concerns about Suncoast, including issues with communication, staff turnover, and other general issues. First, there is a significant amount of staff turnover. With the exception of a couple of teachers, I feel as though there are new staff members every 3-6 months. Whats worse is there is no communication about these changes. One day I came in and my childs teacher told us it was her last day. The director never informed of us this and we were never introduced by the director to the new teacher - we had to seek that information out ourselves. The school also fails to involve parents in activities, which is quite unfortunate. Unlike other schools nearby, there are never any parent-invited events. Even the holidays parties (which have decreased) lack any real encouragement for parents to join in. Finally, I have concerns about what may seem like petty issues but are still noteworthy. For example, the teachers use white rags to wipe down the kids and keep them cool while playing outside. However, it is just a bucket of rags and it I get the impression that one sweaty kids face is wiped down using the same rag that was just used by another kid. One day I went outside and there was a child, in the middle of the summer, dressed in what looked like a long sleeved shirt and jeans. Her face was beat red and no one seemed concerned. I understand that if he parents brought her to school that way, what can you do, but at least try to keep her cooled down! Personally, I would prefer that the kids be required to have water breaks every 15 minutes with actual cool water rather than just sips from the dinky water fountain. Nevertheless, my child enjoys the school and she is old enough that I can rely on her verbal report if I had any concerns about things going on at the school.

my son has been at Suncoast Academy since he was an infant. He is now 5 and loves going there every day. He has developed a core group of friends and feels comfortable in an environment where he also has learned critical early childhood skills prior to starting school next year. He is excited that he will be a "big kid" (after schooler) there next year and I am excited that Suncoast offers a private bus service to and from his elementary school! Great place for infants, toddlers and elementary aged kids.

The leaps & bounds my daughter has made from day one have been phenomenal! Staff is caring, kind and personable.. Snacks & lunch provided, they potty train, my childs safety is never questioned & they are Reasonably priced. I cannot say enough positive things about Suncoast!

The teachers treat the children well, however there is an extremely high turnover rate so there is no consistency for the children. The facility is not cleaned well, and there is an issue with overall organization and staffing.

My Girlfriends kid goes there but not for long. The staff turnover rate is WAY too high. That cant be good for the kids plus it is a pain to have to getting to know a new person.
