I wish I could rate this salon based on a haircut but I didnt even make it that far! I am new to this area and this salon was highly recommended to me by a friend and I get my eyebrows done (Erin is amazing) there so I figured all easy to do brows and hair at the same time. Well after reading all bios I called to make an appointment with Carrie, and after the appointment was made I received a call later in the evening from either Carrie or the receptionist (dont remember) pretty much telling me Carrie was off the day of my appointment and it was cancelled. Not once was I recommended another stylist or another day just simply my appointment was cancelled (wow). Now because this salon was highly recommended about a month later I called again and made an appointment with Carrie once again (appointment was made 5 days in advance) as the day of my appointment arrived I was extremely excited, only to get a call from the receptionist telling me Carrie was over booked somehow and they were passing me off to Tracy. (Are you kidding me??) There was no apology just simply did I want to keep the appt..... I am shocked!!! Extremely unprofessional and then for it to happen a second time!!!! I simply cancelled my appointment and suggested that they start to communicate along with maybe purchasing a computer system that will keep track of the appointments being made and the days stylist are scheduled to be off. After sharing this experience with my coworkers (who expected me to come in with my hair cut), they shared with me that there is always new stylists at this salon and if I was to make an appointment (which I doubt I will ) to make it with a manager. Extremely disappointed.

I have been to several Salons in the region. Including Palm Harbor and Tampa. This is the first Ive ever made a point to review. Today, I stopped in without an appointment. I might have waited five minutes before my stylist came to the front to greet me. After introductions, she spent time asking me about my hair, what I wanted done and gave some great suggestions of her own. I had my hair colored, foiled and styled. When it was all said and done, she had done a superb job! I have been so completely happy with the work done on my hair, the friendliness of the staff, the environment itself and the price of services! Compared to other salons of its caliber, Cabelo offers the consumer a real bargain backed by true expertise. Thank you Jesse! Youve won yourself a customer! I have to add that Amanda (the support staff that washes hair) was AMAZING. I felt as though I was getting a head massage and it was heaven! Im incredibly impressed and give it five stars because I will be going back again and again.

Had been here twice before over the past 10 yrs and decided to give a try again since I lost two hairdressers I used for many years. I read the reviews and decided on Danielle who got great reviews on short hair. Was very pleased. She listened and didnt rush me in telling her about my hair and showing some pictures. I plan on returning and realize it takes a few times for a stylist to get to know you and your hair. Who knows, I may go even shorter next time. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is the prices are up there and not real affordable for those on a retirement budget. The senior stylists are $52 for a cut.

Call for a p&w fill and they had fit me with a young girl Samantha. She wasnt very nice, she acted like her s**** dont stink & that she was better than everyone else. so my first impression of her that she was stuck up, then i thought well maybe thats b/cuz she does good nails. that wasnt the case. I had a horrible nail job , got treated awful and will never recommend anyone here, or will i ever come back

The staff in front SUCKS. I live in south fl and made an appointment with Terry from weeks ago. I stressed to them that I live 4 hours away... I called today to confirm and they told me the receptionist made it with Cary -_- No offense to Cary but I dont know you and dont want my hair cut by you. Good luck getting an appointment with the correct stylist.

It was a wonderful experience today. I went in hoping to get a new look and a color correction. I was placed with Savannah and it was such a wonderful experience. She took her time and listened to me. Created just the look I wanted. Nailed it! And worked my sons school hair cut in while my hair processing. Highly recommend the salon and Savannah.

If you live in the New Port Richey/Odessa area, Cabelo Salon is the place to go. Danielle does an amazing job at baylage, better than any Pinterest or Instagram photo Ive ever seen. She is your go to girl for any highlights or balyage style. The staff is so friendly and the salon is very clean and nice. You wont be disappointed!!!

Only getting 2 stars because the stylist did a good job on my hair, but not worth what they charge!! $35 for a blow dry is just insane!!!!!!! Staff is snobby and stuck up. My hair dresser hardly talked to me and I just felt awkward the entire time. I will not be returning. I will keep driving 2 hours to Ocala.

Mindy is absolutely amazing when it comes to hair! She always seems to read my mind on what I want even when I cant figure it out for myself. She does both amazing color and cuts. Ive never left without completely loving my hair!
