Went through Lowes to contract a roofing company. Was told that the roofers would contact us the following week, but after chasing them down, finally got a communication 3 weeks later. I was told by the Lowes sales person that we would be getting a plastic vent on top, but we got ridge shingles. Was told the roof would withstand winds up to 145 mph. Later, in November, I was on the roof to install Christmas lights and noticed a 6 section of ridge shingles missing. The roof was less than 7 month old. The guy who came to repair it said they were "blown off", even though we had not experienced higher winds than normal. September 11 we experienced a cat. 1 hurricane, which blew off another 6 ridge section. Our house was the only house in the neighborhood to have ridge damage, from what I could see. Even though we were within 1 year of the repair work that had been done, Ryman roofing would not fix "Act of God" damage. They wanted a minimum of $650 just for the labor. This is a job that a pro could have done within an hours workl They said they were swamped, due to hurricane damage, and thats why they were charging so much. Whats the definition of "price gouging"? So I spent 1/2 the day yesterday, trying to find matching ridge shingles. Today I repaired my ridge and put roof adhesive under all of the ridge tabs that were not glued. At 64 years old, it was no fun spending time fixing a relatively new roof.

We went through Lowes (that hired Ryman) for our gutters that were put up in August, they look great. We called a couple days later and said the only thing we needed was a 90 degree extension put on the downspout that is in front of our garage. Because of the direction of the spout, the water comes into our garage every time it rains. We were told by Lowes that Ryman has 2 days to contact us, we never heard from them, We called Lowes and the girl said that she knows about it and she has been calling them herself with no response. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow that we initially put in the work order request. We would like for SOMEONE to contact us regarding this issue and hopefully get the part put on before the hurricane hits so that our garage doesnt get flooded. I dont want to get the BBB involved, but I will if I have to.

I had a small leak coming from a bathroom vent. Jamie, their estimator, went onto the roof and discovered a small crack in the vent pipe. He repaired the pipe while he was up there and did not charge anything. Its nice to still see reputable guys out there in a business that is rife with unscrupulous people. I will definitely call them if I encounter another problem.

the estimator was nice and on time, but their quote was outrageous, twice the cost I am getting from other sources. The fact that they are still in business with these rates is a statement of the average level of stupidity of the population. Get more quotes dont stop at the first bid..

We received several estimates for a roof leak. Ryman not only came in at the best price, but their staff was timely and responsive to our needs (which we considered an emergency). They did an impeccable job, and cleaned up our yard better than it was when they got there. A+
