I love the vibe, and the food is excellent. I ordered via delivery several times, but it was too expensive, so I just popped in, and lucked into a small table in the corner where I could people watch, and eavesdrop on the staff as they greeted, seated, and handed out to go orders. I am addicted to their avocado sub, with a local egg, and extra avocado. The tomato pie was kind of odd, but I probably didnt choose well-. They have opened for dinner, and I am eager to try it. The portion size of the avocado sub has decreased, to be a one meal- no leftover size, which saddens me. It does come with cheese straws, baked in house, and phickles, a locally owned and produced pickle maker, absolutely delish. This place is pricey, and a very occasional treat on my budget. The quality is really high, and I think it is smart of them to set the prices at a point that precludes the chance that it will be taken over by students.

Homemade recently catered our wedding, and both the food and service were absolutely amazing! We were planning our wedding while in another state, and they were extremely responsive to any questions we had during the planning process and were open to working with all of our ideas and requests. We ended up choosing Southern staples like BBQ chicken and shrimp and grits, and all of the guests could not stop raving how delicious the food was (even for days afterwards)! The catering was really one of the highlights of our wedding and we are so glad we went with Homemade.

Just returned from having lunch for the first time and the place was so cute and menu very interesting. Our food was also very good but the service was not good at all. Our server whose name was Bobby was not very attentive at all - we had to keep asking him for simple things as a straw and sweetner over and over. He did not have a good attitude and seemed to not enjoy his job. Just did not seem to care nor be focused on what he was to be doing. We observed other servers that we wished we had gotten to serve us.

True or false: my willingness to go to parties may have been influenced by my hearing that home.made was the caterer. I love home.mades food and was thrilled when they opened a lunch spot in Athens so I wouldnt have to wait until the next wedding or reception to taste their wares. Excellent, quick, professional service paired with inventive, healthy dishes that leave me feeling satisfied and happy (without being overstuffed). I love home.made--now open for dinner!

This place is one of Athens best secrets currently. Anyone who knows about it though can tell you it is on par with the last resort and the national. The lunch is great and offers amazing sandwiches with generous portions and dinner is even more amazing. The chicken was the crispiest and moistest I have ever had and the sides were amazing also. Come here, eat the food,and save room for dessert because though I never have room.....i heard they are awesome!

We were in Athens Friday visiting UGA with our son and had dinner here. Everything we had was Amazing and delicious. A must try. We had the tomato pie, onion pie, cheese curds, smoked meat and biscuits, mac n cheese, squash casserole and the Southern Antipasti: pimento cheese, bbq ham jam with bruleed mustard, crab boiled peanuts, marinated cucumbers, and grilled bread. Fresh and flavorful.Service was attentive but not overly.

Wonderful!! We took my family here to celebrate my sons doctorate. The food was fantastic, the waiters were terrific, the atmosphere was nice and quiet, and this family had a great time! Thank you to the person who realized that we were celebrating and who placed a candle on my sons dessert; that was so very kind. GREAT meal!!

The menu had many interesting southern classics. The specialty drink that was recommended with pomegranate(?) was not even close to tasting as good as it was described. (Bitter and not sweet.) Yes, I know taste is subjective. The kitchen did a good job. The bartender needs to go back to bartending school. Alll in all, Id return.

We went to dinner here last night with friends. Everything was amazing. I am not kidding... The tomato pie DOES HAVE MAGIC. I dont like tomatoes, one person in our party ordered it and let me have a bite. I have never tasted anything so amazing. The staff were kind, patient and funny. Go! Absolutely, go! Its great!

Home.made was the hit of our wedding, next to us. Everyone was simply gushing about the food and service. Everyone was so so nice, courteous (it was freezing!) and attentive. My mom cant wait to hire them again. Mimis vision is so inspired and heartfelt. Shes the best chef Ive ever known! We were amazed.

Went in with a party of eight they atomaticly added a 20 percent tip. She clearly didnt earn it, basically ignored us brought out one apitizer at a time and then took the last one to a different table. Then I had to ask 3 different times to get a drink refilled
