I have dreaded writing a review because I hate being negative, however my husband and I had a very poor experience with this company so it only felt right we warn others. We used their service for both planning and floral arrangements. I tried very hard to compromise, however I constantly felt like Becky was up-selling us. Her marketing technique felt very doom and gloom to me- stressing how much I needed things because otherwise my wedding would be a disaster. From day one there were a constant struggle between our wishes for the wedding and what she felt was best: flowers, schedule, decor etc. Anything that I suggested that was not traditional, was met with criticism. Examples: types of flowers (she said were too difficult to work with), time I wanted wedding to start ( too early) and the list goes on. She also went into great detail on what my schedule looked like the morning of the wedding. Which may be helpful, however it just served to frustrate me as she became judgement about what time Id be eating breakfast, how many makeup artists I had etc. Literally, every decision was a battle. Through the whole process I kept trying to convince myself that she was alright, b/c she had already been paid for, but now that I compare her to my other vendors (who were wonderful) she was severely lacking and extremely unprofessional. She was paid the MOST and unfortunately delivered the least in terms of expectations. Here is a list from the day of the wedding: They were OVER an hour and a half late to my first look (barely any of our photos have the boutonnieres or bouquets in them because of this). No apologies either. Their team also did not help with clean up as promised, so some of my decorative items were lost forever. My mother and her friends ended up doing a lot of it too. Set up of decor was agreed upon in the contract as well. But barely anything was done besides the flowers for set up. As such, my husband ended up having to rush off and resolve the issues. Very stressful for him. For the ceremony she was half an hour late so guests waited. Bridal party was also floundering around wondering where she was. Not to mention she did not show up for our rehearsal. She said she would "try" but there was no phone call or text when she was unable to make it. Very unprofessional. The only "pro" in this situation was that the flowers were lovely. And this is the ONLY reason I am give two instead of one star. However, having experienced all of this I would have gladly gone with another service and saved myself the heartache.

I’m so excited to find an opportunity to praise Becky’s work as a wedding planner and floral designer. She did an amazing job on my daughter’s wedding. Having not planned a wedding before, we were quite indecisive to start with and had mixed ideas about what we wanted. Becky gently and patiently guided us to great ideas and helped us to blend our personal touch with a classic style. She had so many wonderful ideas. Her guidance and creativity created a beautifully intimate ceremony and reception. She was so patient as we worked out details of the event. We were over-whelmed with the care and attention to details that she put into our event. I have been to several events that Becky has coordinated. They have all been amazingly beautiful. The floral designs have been out of this world in color, texture, beautiful, elegance, and just over-all wow. I would highly encourage anyone looking for floral designer or wedding planner to work with Becky. You will get more for your money and have a more amazing event because she takes special care and attention to each event.

I just want to say that Becky Shehan was a WONDERFUL florist to work with hands down! From the moment I met her at my friends wedding to the moment I finally got a chance to work with her one on one for my own wedding, she was amazing. I loved my flowers so much; they made my wedding come alive. She did all center pieces for my reception and my guest were begging me for them at the end of the reception. My bouquet was absolutely beautiful. Everything that she promised me on my wedding day was delivered plus more. My grandmother passed away 5 weeks before my wedding; Becky made a special floral arrangement in honor of my grandmother and placed it in the seat at the church where she would have been. I thought that this was thoughtful and special. My whole family loved her and her staff. Very professional and I will be recommending her to brides I know all over. You wont regret booking Becky Shehan!

Becky Shehan was my wedding planner and helped make our special day relaxing and fun for my husband and me. On a very small budget and in a very short time, Becky helped me find the perfect venue. She generously gave me the vendors flat rate so that I could afford a wonderful dinner for my guests. She created beautiful floral designs and directed the decorations, the rehearsal, the ceremony and the reception. She assisted me in all aspects of planning the wedding and then managed the day so that we could enjoy ourselves and our guests. Becky was a true professional but personalized her services with the caring and compassion of a true Christian. I highly recommend Becky Shehan and A Very Special Wedding because that is the service she truly provides.

When I received my flowers, they were beautiful, elegant and exactly what I envisioned. My bouquet was perfect for my dress and my centerpieces were the talk of my reception. We had an outdoor wedding and reception at Lake Oconee and wanted a very natural look and feel to our setting. Becky designed the perfect centerpiece coming up with ideas I never thought of. She was fun and easy to work with, exceeded my all of my expectations and worked to make the most of my budget. She saved me from SILK!! I would highly recommend her to anyone.
