False Promises: 1.Prior to the wedding, Susan had told my husband and I that she was going to direct our guests to her company’s website showing things to do in Chicago, where to sightsee, restaurants to check out, and events going on that weekend. Wedding weekend comes, and NOTHING. No mention of this service. 2.Signage for the Ketuba Signing Room- Yes, something small, but Susan had requested an easel to place a sign for those guests involved in this intimate ceremony. Didnt happen. 3.Day Before Setup- This is a biggie: Susan had directly told my husband, my mother, and I that she would be staying after the wedding rehearsal to begin putting the chair covers on each chair. On the day of the rehearsal, Susan told me she had to leave to attend another wedding, and would be back the next morning to begin setting up. As far as conducting the actual rehearsal, Susan watched me get the bridal party in line and practice walking in and out. She was provided a copy of the script, and was asked to facilitate the rehearsal. This expected facilitation did not occur. 4.Day Of Coordinating/Communication- Susan and her assistant (who was very helpful), began the day by starting with the chair covers. A couple of my family members were monitoring how that was being handled, and soon realized that there was a HUGE error with timelines communicated between Susan and our florist. The florist was given the wrong date/time to deliver everything, and once the groom spoke to her on the phone, everything was fine. Again, major miscommunication from Susan’s part. Before the ceremony, I was told that Susan and her assistant would be leaving at 8:00 PM. Per contract and “wedding packet”, Susan had specified that she would be at the event for the entire time. Once the reception was over, she was supposed to assist with the cleanup process and remove the chair covers. I spoke with her prior to the ceremony about this situation, and she said that she could stay until 10:00 PM and then changed it to 11:00 PM. In reality, the last time I saw her was when my husband and I were introduced into the reception hall. This was within the 8 PM hour. At the end of the night, Susan was nowhere to be seen, and vendors (including hotel management) asked my husband and me what to do with everything. In our wedding packet, Susan had outlined that she would coordinate the transition of our floral arrangements from the reception room to the day after brunch room. Clearly, this was not done since she was nowhere to be found. On another note, although she apologized, Susan’s attire was inappropriate for a black-tie affair. 5.Day After Communication- My husband and I called Susan to discuss some of these concerns and financials questions that we had. Susan was unable to take constructive feedback from us, and argued each point that we had made. After approximately 20 minutes of talking, Susan hung up on me while trying to discuss any follow up that was needed. •Gift Boxes/Paper: Based on Susan’s documented contract, those were supposed to delivered by Thursday, 9/3. Reality- Boxes were delivered at 2:30 PM on Friday 9/4. Now, that doesn’t sound too bad, but a lot of our guests had already checked in. In addition- the boxes were a completely different color, the contents were poorly put together, and the itinerary of the wedding weekend was completely wrong. Just a side note, Susan placed a brochure into the boxes that discussed a festival coming up on a different weekend in September. • Paper Goods: One of the documents had the wrong wedding date printed on it and the wedding programs had 3 mistakes. When asked to reprint the programs, Susan said she didn’t have access to a printer.Instead, those guests that were mentioned in the program were disrespected due the grammatical errors when addressing their formal names. From the first email, Susan was not only responsive but helpful before I even hired her as my wedding planner. My wedding was absolutely amazing and I couldnt have done it without her. Susan impressed me with her organization with our first meeting. I loved her sense of humor and overall kindness. She was wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding. Early on, I learned to trust Susans experience, instinct and taste. Anytime I had questions or concerns, she would respond immediately to put my mind at ease. There is all this pressure to have a perfect wedding because " its the most important day of your life". When we finally arrived at "the big day", it was completely stress-free, beautiful and fun - more than we imagined. It really was the best day of our lives and we owe Susan so much! Our parents especially were raving for a week afterwards how impressed the were with Susan and her team. Our family highly recommends Susan Hailey and Nasarus Event Planning and Management. I work for an emergency management & communications company in Chicago and recently hired Nasarus Event Planning and Management for three of our companys events. It was my job to enlist support for an event planning company to facilitate our events providing the entire spectrum of services. Without exception, Nasarus Events delivered a well managed, customized and targeted approach, ensuring each aspect of our requirements were successful. Nasarus went above and beyond for our company and most importantly, our clients. My recommendation comes from the outstanding level of service and management provided at a tactical level, by Nasarus Events, while coordinating with several venues and staff with over 2000 attendees. In addition, their work with the zoning board was impressive and free of any conflict of interest ( not an easy task). Professionally, I have overseen fleet management, planning and development, public health and I have to say I am highly impressed with Susan Hailey and her staff & pleased to have them as our designated event planner. Recommend 100%.

Nasarus Event Planning and Management and their entire team were exceptional in planning, coordinating and executing our corporate event. I was given the task of heading the team to plan our companys anniversary party and our CEO wanted to invite everyone - over 500 guests in all. I contacted a little over 8 event planning companys and decided on Nasarus Event Planning and Management. Susan Hailey was accommodating with everyones schedules and was very easy to work with. She was efficient, fun and a delight to work with, they provided us with a complete portfolio so we could see every aspect of the planning process. The end result was phenomenal and it made us look real good to our clients. A shout out to Lynn, who went way out of her way for our clients. I recommend Nasarus Event Planning and Management to everyone.

Her attention to detail and desire to exceed her clients expectations is why I can call her a collegue. Shes able to execute your event with precision while keeping your budget and resources in mind. Her patience to help her clients rationalize every step of the way exemplary! I love working with her and look forward to when we can work together again.

If Susan Hailey (the owner of this company) can tell lies about another business, create aliases to write bogus reviews and use her child to draw sympathy for a complete fabrication, then one wonders if she can be trusted with anything.
