I was trying to grow my hair out for a while, but decided last minute before traveling out of town one weekend that I needed a trim to freshen up my hair. I always drive by this place because I live very close, so I thought Id give in a try since the average rating was so high. After my experience here, Im convinced that the majority of these reviews are fabricated by the salon in order to generate more business from new customers who dont know any better. I am not uptight with my hair at all and am always open to trying new things or giving the the stylist the benefit of the doubt to do what they think will look best within general guidelines. I have healthy straight hair that is just past my shoulders. Nothing fancy. I have been to a number of stylists with various levels of experience and price points over the years. My point is, Im pretty good at going with the flow. However, this place was TERRIBLE. Viola used ZERO technique and just haphazardly snipped away. The result was an uneven, choppy, mess. While she was randomly cutting away at my hair, she apparently thought it was ok to tell me that she actually didnt have any formal training, and had just learned from her uncle in the salon. Unfortunately I was well into my appointment at this point. The worst part is that this all cost me $52. It was way lower quality than what you can get for $18 at Hair Cuttery or whatever other budget-shop. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Im not much of a fashion kind of guy and traditionally just go to whatever barber shop is close by and cheep, and over the past year or so Ive really just let my hair grow long and it was starting to look like quite an un-styled mess. With our engagements pictures coming up and the wedding on the horizon, my fiance has been urging me to "get it styled properly", so I decided to give Spencer a try. Id say it was definitely worth it! The place was very inviting and didnt have that stuffy feeling that puts a guy like me off "fancy salons". The whole staff were really warm and accommodating people, offering me a drink while I waited and just generally maintaining a friendly environment despite how busy the place was. Spencer took a lot of care to make sure that we were on the same page as far a what I wanted, bringing out books of different styles and giving great advice on what would work best and be most manageable for my particular hair. A far cry from the cut first / ask questions later approach of a lot of places. He continued to be generous with his advice throughout the process, teaching me some great tricks to manage the crazy cowlick in the front of my hair that has given me issues my whole life, and how to tame the waviness without using a lot of product. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Extremely disappointed! I had a scheduled appointment and had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for my hair cut. I had another appointment 2 days later to get my hair colored for Christmas and before Traveling and they simply called less than 24 hrs before saying they wanted to close early that day and canceled my appointment. Not only did I wait 1 hr and half to get my hair cut but In the mean time, 5 people got in after me, got their cut and left before me. They made it up that my appointment at two instead of 3 oclock but that was a lie. The appointment card I got from them when I made the reservation said 3 PM. Not only did it make me late for my dinner that night, but also did not give me enough time to get my hair colored before Christmas as planned. So then they offered me a Saturday appointment in order to make it up and make sure I got my hairdo e before Christmas and before my vacation.....great.... only if they kept their word! They called me less than 24 hrs before my appointment saying that they needed to cancel it. Now its a day before Christmas Eve, 2 days before my vacation and I cant find another time to get my hair done anywhere! The least you could have done was honor your scheduled appointment time. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL!!

I was very disappointed with my experience overall and will definitely NOT be returning, Keratin treatment worked good. Happy with the outcome. The haircut was basically non-existent. I asked to only take off the dead ends, but I would not even consider it a trim. Viola was my stylist, although I spent 90% of my time with the shampoo girl who did everything except the cut. Viola was working on 2 additional clients to myself all at the same time. The shampoo girl did my wash, Keratin treatment, blowdry and style before Viola stepped in to make a few snips and send me home with $45 worth of shampoo that is NOT sulfate free or Sodium Chloride fee - which is why she insisted that I must buy it. Listed on their website these are the two requirements for maintaining Keratin. When I called and asked about it I was told that this is a "different kind of Sulfate" and was never given an answer about the Sodium Chloride - only that they are sure that I was given the right shampoo even though it has all the wrong ingredients. Upon research I find that this sulfate is chemically identical to the "bad" sulfate. The shampoo girl was wonderful and the front desk lady was very nice as well. Everything else about this place was wrong. I would NOT recommend.

I am fearly new to this salon. I went the first time, and got my keratine treatment ,it was descent. Spencer cut my hair , I Like it very much; he is definately a Stylist!! My second keratine went terribly wrong, Iwas very dissapointed, but I came bak, and they took care of me. Viola did a very good job !!!! , with a nother girl do not reemember he name right now, is probably her assitant. an african American toll girl. Both did a vey good job. If this continuo this way, definately I will be a permanet client. I cannot say it enough Viola was GREAT!!!!! The manager was very understandable too.. I appreciate the fear treatment from their part. Good Way to stay in Business.

Viola did my color - not even close to what I showed and came out a weird red that said "box color gone bad"; Kaylee did it a few months later, wayyyyy too dark at the roots, OK in the back. I only had a certain amount of time allotted to get my hair done and no time for a redo. The chairs are so crammed together you have to bump into other clients or hairdressers to get into your place. If the talent was as great as the attitude of the staff, this place would be unbeatable. As it is, I wont be back.
