I mean, the place is named after a crazy Cronenberg movie in which James Woods injects himself with VHS tapes. How can this place not be awesome? Its a little pricey but the selection is astounding, theres always an obscure film playing on the in-house TVs and the staff is never at a loss for good suggestions to add to your watch list. This place is so cool, I took my mom here once after visiting the King of Pops on the adjacent corner and she freaked out over all the old classics she forgot even existed. Quit the netflix nonsense. I know a lot of people have given this place great reviews, but the truth is that compared with other independent video rental stores Ive been to in other cites, Videodrome is actually on the very, very pricey side. Most other independent places Ive been to charge $2 or $3.50 at most, but $4 per dvd for just three nights? That is just ridiculous. Its a real shame too, because they clearly have a good selection, but no one is going to shell out that much money for a dvd they could probably get on Amazon for 99 cents.

Id write a mock angry review about them not having this one Jacques Demy film I wanted to rent, but I cant even joke like that. Videodrome is the best video rental place in Atlanta, and not just because its the only one. The selection is absurd, the categorizations well-thought-out, the films playing on the TVs overhead are always great—sometimes youll get a new film for your watchlist just based on whats playing—the staff picks are always a highlight, and the prices are fantastic. Go to Videodrome. Do it now.

I love Videodrome! Best thing about Atlanta, to be honest. ALL the people working there are super nice and attentive. They are great to have a conversation with! Videodrome has a great, friendly, fun environment with a crazy big selection! All in all, I would love to work here just because of how awesome it is. All movie worshipers, like myself, would love this place!

Nothing short of spectacular. This is a film lovers paradise! Any director you like, they have just about every single film of theirs to choose from. Like foreign films? The foreign section is unreal, like half of the store! American independent, cult films, classic films, HUGE anime selection, and even a few Hollywood blockbusters, Videodrome has it ALL!

I forgot the title of the movie I wanted and I asked for the movie at the top of the American Film Institutes list. "Oh yeah, Citizen Kane is right over here." WOW! What planet am I on? WOW! These people know their movies. On what planet to retail employees know what theyre selling? This place is amazing.

This place is an incredible source for indy, import, documentary cult and other obscure flicks that even Netflix may not have (and Blockbuster wouldnt even consider stocking). They have a selection of the big Hollywood titles too, but you can get those anywhere. Very laid-back staff as well.

Great spot, movie store, DVD & BluRay Rentals, thousands to pick from! Just passing through visiting, but awesome to see a neighborhood video store kicking alive and well for 16+ years the fella said.. friendly and clean store. Love it!

Used to love this place. $5 per day late fee according to the employee. Just got charged over $15 for being one day late. Thats waaay too expensive. Glad they dont charge $100 per day. Why not though? Could be a good business plan.

Beyond glad I came across this store when I was working off of Ponce. They have the best anime collection of any movie rental place Ive ever been to. Its so fun to go down here and see what new genre you can get yourself into.

Videodrome is a great locally owned Atlanta movie rental joint. They have a large and varied selection and the people are always nice and helpful. I think its the place to go for non-mainstream movies. I highly recommend them.
