About every 6 months I get a call from a new representative that wants to get to know me. For years this has been a joke among my co-workers. The high turn-over rate is a sign there are deep issues regarding day-today life within Aerotek. The quality of the staff reflects Aerotek is reaping the consequence of that high turn-over rate. I told Kathleen Vann that the second most important quality in a job was a short commute. She submitted me to a position that would require me to be away from my home for 12 hours 4 days a week. She did this knowing I was not desperate for more job offers. She explained “I became blind-sighted to what you really wanted because your skills aligned with what Acuity wanted.” Aerotek is not your agent the way a realtor or lawyer represents your interest. They are more akin to the HR departments you are trying to avoid.

STAY AWAY FROM DULUTH BRANCH. worse worse recruiters ever! The gentleman that I was working with, did not do any thing (seriously anything) ! First of all he was trying hard to make me less confident to accept a low paying job! he told me you can make maximum $10-12 hour per hour. I was like Ok then, for the start point it is OK. Second of all he did not find any job for me. There were lots of companies in Georgia in my major of study. But he was so unable to contact to at least one of them! He could not introduce any opportunity for me. I sent him emails to update him about my resume and try to keep him update but he refused to answer to my calls and emails!!

This experience was the worst. They dont advocate for the employee or investigate anything the employer says. I worked an assignment that was, and Id hate to say it, racially biased. Many African American people were "let go" because of numbers. However, some other ethnicity who didnt have the "numbers" or the attendance were able to keep their jobs. When asked the reason behind being "let go", the recruiter told so many lies, when none of them were the reason at all. I personally will not be trying them again. Its been too many POC going through the same thing with this staffing agency.
