I worked in the fast food industry before going to the Snelling office. I was quite desperate and frustrated because I have a degree, but could only find jobs in fast food. I was working over 50 hours a week on my feet making minimum wage in two different fast food companies, and was barely surviving. I took a week off from both jobs to visit my father two states away for his wedding and had my hours drastically cut from both jobs when I returned to work. The managers at both jobs explained to me that working minimum wage in the food service industry was a privilege, and I dissolved my right to fair hours when I took time off for an important family event. I had had enough. I went to Snelling, filled out an application, and in the same day spoke with Robin about my strengths and weaknesses. I did not have any past experience in an office, which was one of the reasons I had such a difficult time finding a job in a professional setting after college. Robin and I spoke at great length about what I wanted from a career, wages, and furthering my education to open those promotional doors. Robin created a profile of me that I probably could not have created, myself. She really listened to what I said and turned it into what I can only image to be one heck of a resume. After we spoke, she had me take a typing test and fill out some of the necessary paperwork for employment with Snelling. The whole process was very easy, and she made it seem relaxed. I was not stressed out, and I did not feel, in any way, the unbearable depression that came with filling out application after application after application online, or in some store. I was speaking with a person, and she was reassuring. I was a very refreshing experience, and gave me some hope I had lost. It took about a month to get an interview with a company, but it was well worth it. Robin had me come into the Snelling office before the interview to help me prepare some key speaking points. She gave me some incredible advice that I truly feel is what helped me win the position. After the interview I went back to the Snelling office to speak with Robin about how the interview went. Again, we reviewed the speaking points and the entire interview to really sink in that I did do a good job, and there is hope. I received a phone call the very next day saying I got the temporary to permanent position. I worked with this company via Snelling for three months, and had my first official day as an employee of the company yesterday. The company I now work for is exactly what I needed. The position is perfect for what I want out of my life, what I expect from myself, and has plenty of opportunities for me to advance myself after I receive my second degree. Robin has a fantastic talent for listening. It felt like magic; I was down and depressed, and she saw amazing potential in the information I gave her about myself that I had all but forgotten or given up on. Ambition has been reignited; I am not stuck in fast food anymore. I almost gave up on the dream, but now I can say that I have a career, and it feels great.

UPDATED....Bad communication and probably poor management. I applied for a job with Snelling- to work at their actual office in Knoxville. Manager called me/emailed me repeatedly and sat up an interview. I went in and he told me he wasnt going to hire me. Wasted my lunch break with a 3 minute interview of garbage we could have discussed over the phone. Instead, he wants me to work at my current job longer (which is like the job I had in college, not being able to find something else) and he would recruit me for a temp job in the future. Who knows if they even had an opening? Sounded like a sales pitch to recruit people and make more sales from companies using the office. Dont apply here, seek accounting solutions or staffing solutions. Dont be interested in someone like this guy telling you what to do when youre in a bind for a better job or better pay. Dont even tell me you dont have me in the system. I showed up one time. I have a different last name now. I came by July 2016. I sat in a cubicle with John Wayne... and Jim. No, I dont want to call you because I never got called back. Never call me again.

I moved to East Tennessee back in 2013, abd started looking for employment right away. I wanted to live and work closer to my family, who also live here. I applied to Snelling, looking for administrative work, was given all of the paperwork, and was told that they (being Snelling) would start looking for me. Never got a call or an e-mail after that. Tried again about a couple of years later; same story. A temporary employment agency should be more responsive than this; it is ludicrous that Snelling brings you in, but then doesnt do anything for people legitimately looking for work and ask you questions that simply make no sense (along with giving you the third degree about you and your life, too). Stay away from these people; they are hucksters and you are better off looking for work yourself.

Unresponsive and lacking excitement or effort. When people are down and out looking for employment, they need someone they can depend on to navigate the murky waters of job searching. After an in-person interview, I was setup with a phone interview for a client of Snellings. After that, nothing. No follow-up, no additional help or assistance. I did not even receive a thanks, but no thanks from the client. Was this legitimate or a ploy to drive activity so that it looked like they were providing value to the client? Unless in a very dire situation, Id steer clear and make a go of it on your own - I did and found a great job after a few months of looking - stay positive and focus on what you want during your search and itll eventually pay off. Good luck!

Matt Disney and the Knoxville Snelling location has been the most professional and client focused recruitment company I have worked with in my 20+ years professionally. Matt stayed to task on every aspect of the process with a company we worked together on for my employment. His follow-up and coaching are as good as I have seen in the industry. I highly recommend using them.

Went in for Interview, then was told to call the next day (Friday) so I did, was then told to call Monday (so I did) Then told to do Excel Word test (So I did) was told I would be hearing back from them within 2 days. Never heard back............ for being a staffing company I would EXPECT exceptional staffing skills. They lead by poor example.

I worked with Snelling, and Christy was my recruiter. She was wonderful! She found me some temp jobs, and got me interviews, and helped me get the job I have now. She is encouraging and energetic, and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a job!

Love my recruiter, Matt Disney. He was able to get me a job within 3 weeks time, whereas I was still waiting for the other recruiting agencies to return my call. I truly enjoy working through Snelling Professional Services. Thanks Matt!
