So far Im less than hugely impressed by service. Slow and disinterested. The decor is dark and all dark-wood paneled, as if it were better the contents remained in shadow. The onion ring loaf is a surprisingly good piece, however. I had to send my chili back because it was covered in cheese and sour cream. Lactose distaste is a terrible thing, but mainly for other people. It returned, without cheese but with extra sour cream. Kind of bland the as chili goes too, really. Sad. And not a single comment from the waiter about the immense glop of sour cream I carefully transplanted to the nearby appetizer plate. Tonights order: One rack of ribs and fries. On the positive side, the ribs are nice and smoky. The caramelized sauce on the outside has just enough bite to really catch your tongue. The side sauce and however, is just too much. Its something like a smoky sweet sauce without anything to distinguish it except being mediocre. If only it were _worse,_ so that I had something interesting to say about it. Or better, so it was more pleasure to eat. Dont dip there. If you need a little lubrication, touch -- dont drown. The fries are middle of the road. Nice crunch, good texture. Ketchup in a ramekin to the side for style points. I cannot overemphasize how lazy the service is. We had a fly-by from our waiter a few minutes after the food hit the table, otherwise hes just been lackadaisically straightening tables with about the verve I feel watching him. So many fries. Probably to help cover up the selling of a single babyback rack for $19. At least I get the pleasure of turning this into a review. And the waiter just popped by and took my plate without a word. Not even looking for a nod of acknowledgement, despite the fact that roughly half the fries remained. Yeah. That happened.

Went here for a Wedding Celebration party of 15/16 which was called a head of time by the bride to make sure they could accommodate us. Our table had two waiters one which was very rude and another who might have been in training not sure. Being with 2 waiters the rude waiter seemed to still be overwhelmed. Putting in drink orders I was dismissed and never given the opportunity to order a drink and was ultimately given someone elses water. We had 2 toddlers in our party as well that ordered hot dogs from the kids menu. Several others had salads with their orders which didnt come out until about 30 mins after the order was placed which is strange being that its a simple side salad . Next usually in restaurants you have the kids meals come up rather quickly not here . We all waited about 45 mins or longer for our meals. Half of the table had their food and others didnt-and orders were wrong. Sadly as a wedding celebration the bride was given her food last. I ordered a turkey burger which was so burnt I couldnt even eat it, since we waited so long for our order I didnt bother to send it back. The checks were incorrect for several of us- as our check had things on it that no one at the table ordered. Our service was lousy and the food was lackluster. My husband and I were given a gift card which we have no plans of using at this restaurant. You can see this place on 85 but Id keep driving theres nothing to see here.

i went as a wedding party of only 15, Not too big or challenging. Everyone was quick with their drink order and everyone was quick on what they wanted to eat. It was one after the other real quick not hard. We had two kids in the party that had to wait over an hour for hot dogs and fries. Kids shouldnt wait that long for food. Everyones food took entirely too long to arrive. Two people in our party got their food as others was getting to go boxes. Not to mention the bride in the wedding party was the last person to get her food. I would understand this if the place was crowded but it wasnt. They re were alot of empty seats and booths next to us. So after the hour and a half wait for food we were done eating and had to wait another hour for them to bring our checks. Everyones checks had mistakes and over charges on it. The manager didnt even come to our table to apologize personally. They ran my card after i realized they over charged me. So instead of fixing the issue i was informed that they cant do refunds so instead i got a ten dollar gift card for their restaurant?!! Food was good but that can only get you so far if the service is terrible. I wont be coming back here. Note to yourself if your going to a restaurant on a Friday night and the parking lot is not packed...theres a reason for it.

I guess we should have read the other reviews first before coming here. The California Dreaming in Charleston, South Carolina, is a different experience completely, which prompted us to come here. Unfortunatly, the food here is not good. I had the onion ring loaf as appetizer, which was heavy and greasy, and entree was steak sandwich, which had to be the toughest piece of steak (pos) Ive had in a long time. Wife had the baked potato soup, which had so many other ingredients in it, she found that they completely confused the taste of the soup. She also had the Knob Hill chicken, a butterflies chicken breast covered in ham & cheese. The ends of the chicken were burned, and inedible. No concern from the wait staff as to why they were not consumed. Over priced menu and over priced drinks, make this location a forgettable experience.

Im not sure how they treat other customers, but I just went there with my friends for a birthday dinner...and the service was horrible. We sat down around 8:30, got our food around 9:00. The waitress already passed out togo boxes at 9:20 while everyone was still eating. Even worse, we received our checks 15 minutes afterwards, WITHOUT ASKING IF WE WANTED DESSERT. Also, we never got our drinks refilled, when we left our glasses were all empty...bc they never refill our drinks...What kinda service is that????? When we complained to the manager, he said its because the kitchen was closing....when it was almost 10...and the restaurant itself doesnt even close until 11:00. If I dont remember wrong, the people who got there first...and finished the food, even got their checks after we did.

The service was fantastic and all the people there were kind, competent, and professional. The first negative was the lighting. I had to guess what they had at the bar because the bottle shelf was so dark I could hardly see bottle shapes. The second negative was the food. The steaks were all bland, not cooked to the specified temp, and overall just not what you would expect from a steakhouse. The ribs were decent but again lacking in anything special. On a side note, their wings and quesadillas were surprisingly awesome. Much more than just a regular quesadilla. The mashed potatoes were also very good. Overall I would not go back but the place did have great people and management. I hope it is just a bad cook or something along those lines.

So I tried the blackened salmon, creamed spinach, and the house salad (I snuck a bite of the herb salmon too.) The blackened didnt really taste spicy, so Id suggest the herb. Honestly you couldnt really taste a difference lol. I think the herb has more flavor between the two though. Creamed spinach was great; extremely thick n creamy, so its not the healthiest choice. The house salad was a great size, loaded with extras, and AWESOME! The inside inside is nice for the area. I definitely prefer it over Bahama Breeze and Joes crab shack. The insides nicer than Joes and bigger than both. Id have to say the salmon is slightly better at Bahama breeze, though.
