When we moved to the Duluth area after moving from Cherokee county, one of my main concerns was finding a good childcare for my girls.. We had moved from a center that knew both of my girls and they both felt very secure and loved there. After being in such a small tight knit community, I was afraid of what kind of "cold" daycare I would find for them. We toured other centers and actually enrolled them in another center. But after my 10yr old told me she didnt like it there and said she "didnt feel any love", I knew it was not going to be a good fit for my 5yr old who is a very loving little girl and would definitley pick up on any ambivelent feelings of the staff. I started calling around again and even though I had mixed feelings of a "chain" daycare, called Childtime in Duluth. Mrs. Heather answered the phone in such a professional but friendly way that I immediately felt at ease. I told her that I was concerned about the other place and my girls "not feeling the love" and she was very assuring that they would at Childtime!! We went to tour and meet with her, but honestly I was convinved just by how warm she was during our initial conversation. My youngest attended PK there for a few months before an opening was offered to her at Monarch and she was very upset to leave Ms Karen and Ms Christies class. She attends before and after school now and absolutely loves the staff and they seem to genuinely care about her and all the othe children in their care. I love that even though she is not there full time during the school year, all the teachers know her by name! I never thought I would be a "daycare mom", but I am totally comfortable and at ease with leaving my daughter with these fabulous teachers. She and her older sister will attend this summer for "camp" where Mrs. Heather has planned all kinds of fun to keep them occupied. THANK YOU, LADIES, FOR LOVING MY CHILDREN AS MUCH AS I DO!!!

The following reviews dont match what Ive seen within 6 months. I can write a book but will list the a few things I seen 1. Out of all the staff I interacted w/ maybe 3 is a good fit. Everybody seem to have bad attitudes and make it clear the kids get on their nerves and they would rather be somewhere else. 2. My son jacket got stolen and the kid wore it back to the center the next week 3. Within 2 weeks of enrollment my son caught "hand, foot, mouth" disease and there was no notification about the virus going around to warn parents 4. I seen a staff member grab & stanch a lil boy by his hood in the parking lot 5. The director have more excuses than a black man going to jail! Any problem youll bring to her, shell give the poorest excuses. She never take ownership for anything! 6. Because theyre always understaff, theyll send my child home saying hes sick but when I get there within 5-10 minutes..hes perfectly fine 7. Told 2 staff member and the director the milk they provide makes my son sick... guess what?! He was given the milk anyways & got sick. Between the 3 people that was informed they neglected to share the info with the other members that was off that day 8. Not only do the parents enter the infant room with there nasty shoes on but the staff do too! My son had green gum in his hair one day 9. Food plan is poor. Stored in plastic bags like dog food 10. Theres about 10 parking spots and the staff uses 5... Good luck getting in & out during rush hour ..... I can go on & on but this was enough time wasted. I wouldnt leave my dog with these people

We moved to the Duluth area in June 2012. We enrolled our son in a childcare program that was close to our home and seemed to offer every "bell and whistle" you could want in a childcare facility ... except my son was miserable there. My husband took a day off work and went out in search of (and praying for) the "right" childcare to enroll our son in. We were desperate to find a program where our son would feel safe and encouraged. Thankfully, we were led to Childtime in Duluth. My husband called me at work and said, "I found the place!" The director, Heather, was so compassionate and very understanding of our concerns. The first day that Nolan attended the program, she emailed us pictures of him smiling as he played with other children. It gave us so much peace. Our son also went through the Pre-K program at Childtime last year ... I cannot begin to tell you what an amazing job they did. My son loved his teachers and he learned so, so much. This year, he begins kindergarten and we have every intention of continuing our relationship with Childtime, through their after school program. I whole-heartedly recommend Childtime to other families.

Happy wrote: For weeks I called and visited different Daycares. They were high on their prices for aftercare and wanted to charge over 100 a month for the kids to eat. Almost every Daycare I went to my daughter would cry not wanting to stay there. Then I found Ms. Heather at Childtime in Duluth. She was polite and just all around wonderful. She answered all of my questions before I had left the building, which I thought was great. After meeting Ms. Heather, my daughter started walking around the facility and seemed to like it. Ms Heather accepted my daughter into her school and she was able to start school within a day. Ms. Karen and Ms. Christie are my daughters Pre-K teachers; they are wonderful and a joy to be around. My little girl has learned so much from them. My daughter loves it there and I never have to worry about her while she is in their care. The prices are more than reasonable. Ms. Heather and her staff bring joy to the kids and I am glad my daughter is apart of this Daycare. Thank you to all of the Childtime staff for being a joy, doing an awesome job at teaching, and just being you. The trunk or treat was a great success.

My 2 yr old son started attending Childtime November 7, 2011. The daycare he previously attended stated he was slow and should be tested for speech because he did not talk. My son talks at home but for some reason he would not interact with the staff at that daycare. I asked my co-worker where her two sons attended daycare and she referred me to Childtime. My concern when I called was the pricing, but I had to realize sometime you have to pay more for better childcare. I made an appointment to meet with Heather and she was very informative during the tour of the daycare facilities. I felt I had nothing to loose so I enrolled my son. Since attending this daycare he has never cried when I left him headed to work. When I pick him up he is smiling and tells the staff bye-bye. Wednesday when we were getting in the care I gave him his big boy sucker and he said "green". That was the color of the sucker and I was so excited. I now know that he is in the best possible care. I have intentions of leaving him at Childtime until he has to go to school. Thank you childtime for being the company that you are.
