Ive been a member for the better part of 2 years, until today. My home club was in Jonesboro, Ga on tara blvd. today i was midworkout and t he lunk alarm sounded. I was not grunting or dropping weights. I definately wasnt judging anyone. I was breathing, yes breathing. During my shoulder press my breathing sounded like a light hiss. Jonathon a trainer came to me and said that alarm was for my breathing, i was in disbelief. Jonathon couldnt believe it either, i was not being loud or inappropriate.withinminutes the manager came to me and rudely said i couldnt do that. I said "what breathe?". I then said "Im not grunting or slamming weights". She followed up by telling me i could leave. She was very rude and honestly has no business being in management. I understand PE caters to those who are not gym rats, i started my journey several years ago and PE helped me achieve my goals. How do prople achieve goals without pushing themselves? Breathing is a part of a good workout isnt it? After being told to leave i told her to cancel my membership, that this was ridiculous. I went to the lockerroom to get my things, jonathon (employee) found me and he was in disbelief he agrred she handled this wrong and that my behaivor wasnt out of line. The staff member i dealt with was Demeques Maples( manager).I have now left your gym probably for good, i will tell everyone about my experience, in person and social media. She has dine your corporation a disservice today. I have filed a dispute with my bank for this months dues, the manager refused to issue a refund or even provide corporate contact info. Hopefully someone who cares about customer relations will contact me. Good day STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM .

I submitted a cancelation form Two months ago at the gym. I came in explained why I did not want to be a member. I stated, I only visited once, I did not like the location, the atmosphere, they did not have the classes I wanted, They did not have enough equipment/you have to wait for somone else to be finish with it. The staff was not professional. I could go on, there are several reasons. I was billed twice after my only (1) visit then I went to the gym filled out the cancelation form, one of the members were rude. After I filled out the form I said some choice words tore up the paper in front left it on the floor and walked out. The gym keeps contacting me telling me I have not filled ot cancelation forms because it is not on file and they keep billing. I spoke with Tiffany and John and they would not give last names and were extreemly rude/unprofessional as the rest of the staff. They told me I had a $40 balance now and if I wanted to cancel I would need to come in and fill out the forms, I explained I had already done so. They became more rude, I asked for a corpoate number and Tiffany stated there was not a corporate number she was the manager and would handle any and al business nessary.

I joined this gym over ayear ago and honestly, I never went until last week! I have to say I was leary about going after reading all the complaints about staff rudeness, etc... I had a decent experience. The staff were very professional. They quickly handled a billing/card situation I was having.... The only thing I did not like was Music selection piping over the intercom. I didnt have my own earphones (lessoned learned)... but the music for over 40 crowd (because I wasnt the only who seemd disappointed or disgusted) was just horrible. There was no variety of upbeat tiempo, just RAP... Not HIpHop, but irrating loud rap music... I get its a generational issue; however this is suppose to be an all inclusive gym and I was told that going to Fayetteville, Id enjoy it better. Im not quite ready to give up on this gym yet. However, the next time I go, Ill be sure to bring my own headphones to drown out all that ATL rap...

After being there for a few months, I can see why the it has the nickname "The lazy folks gym." Theres tons of treadmills but there is minimum room for free weight exercises. Additionally, they have no medicine balls or aerobic balls to work with. They are also a machine-heavy gym that give the impression to customers that they are getting the most out of their workout. It is very well known that machines are the best workout exercises so they sort of take advantage of their customers lack of knowledge. Also, pay close attention to your agreement because even when you sign the contract, their promos are still temporary. Before end, How are you a gym that advocates fitness and healthy eating habits when you give your customers doughnuts and have pizza nights?

I love this facility and other planet fitness facilities Ive visited. But the manager at this Tara Blvd location is unprofessional, beyond rude and definitely make you not want to workout here. As much as I love the facility, I cancelled my membership today because of her. And all my family members will be cancelling and transferring up the street to youfit as well. She even treats her staff bad and talk to them rudely as well. Seems as if shes to unhappy with her own life to be dealing with so many people daily. Shes just angry for no reason. If you use this facility, you might as well travel 5 more minutes to Youfit. Its better and the management is ten times better. And they definitely dont discriminate.

Two weeks going into my workout journey was great until today. Today, I decided to join a young lady in her ab class with the short little light skinned boy that is a personal trainer. He had a lackadaisical attitude. Did two sets of workouts, then claim he had to go to the front desk and change clothes. He disappeared and never came back to finish training us. Instead, he talked with other people and walked around. Apparently, hes too boujee to personally train certain people. I was hesitant to ask him for any assistance because of his body language in the first place. He is definitely unprofessional and doesnt care. I guess he thinks less of a lot of people that come in the gym.

I understand why some people have issues with some of the staff, but its really only some. While most of the staff is fine and just doing their jobs. I admit, i just transferred to this location and find it a little less appealing, but mostly because its busier. I have gotten unnecessary attitude from a couple of the staff members, which i just shrug off. Does make an already difficult experience a little more unpleasant though. Everyones just trying to get there sets in, why cant folks just get along haha.

This place is a rip off and ghetto. They do not work with you when you cancel your membership even though you tell them and they can check that you are just a signed up member and not actually active. They try to charge you even if you are not an active member when they have employees who give you wrong information. I would rather go to a different gym that works with people who have paid them on time and never been late. DO NOT GO TO THIS TRASHY LOCATION!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY
