This was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had with a so called salon. I booked the appointment with a stylist that was recommended by several people. Called the day after I booked it as I received a "Exclusive Offer" packet in the mail saying Complimentary hair colour service including haircut and hairstyle. There are absolutely no restrictions on any of the 5 places it is written that it is FREE other than must be done during the week. So I called to let them know that I wanted to use the coupon and I was rudely told that I could not use it as it was only for specific stylists. I attempted to have a conversation with what I now know was the Customer Service Manager, Erin. She just wanted to talk over me and got louder and louder. This is frustrating when she could only say with an attitude "well our stylists have to get paid" Well I asked why send out a huge packet trying to get new customers if this is the way you are going to treat them. I told her at this point I should (should being the key word) cancel if this is how they are going to treat customers. I ended up hanging up as I could not endure another word of hers....I showed up at the salon at my appointment time and was told that I did not have an appointment by the first young girl...she walked me to another counter where they stated again, sorry we dont have an appointment for you we dont know what happened. I insisted that I was on the right day and had spoken to someone the day before. So she just walks off in the middle of the conversation without a word, comes back 5 minutes later with Erin and she started in that I cancelled the appointment. I again attempted to have a conversation with her telling her that I did not cancel it, she kept talking over me so rude!!! I told her that I was keeping my appt with the stylist that had to be paid especially after I just drove an hour plus to get there. She said she could switch me to another stylist and I was not interested in that as I had researched the one I had an appointment with and do not trust many people with my hair. She finally said do you want me to speak to the owner, of course I did. So she comes back and says Robert said that we can switch you to another International stylist but cant take the coupon (she of course had not listened) Funny how on the packet it says clearly the owner is Don and Flonnie Westbrook not Robert. She then said I think you need to leave....really like she was a bouncer at a club.... So again total lack of professionalism!!! You would think you would want to find a solution to the issue not make it worse. I will NEVER attempt to go back, will NEVER refer anyone there and will make sure the people who referred me there know. They need a new Customer Service Manager, one who actually knows what customer service is all about. Do not waste your money or time.

Sent my 18 yo daughter here for the first time. Claim to be blonde hair color specialist. Well she walked out with orange hair! Nina was the hairdresser that foiled her hair. After spending 160.00 was told "oh we charge to dry and style your hair but you can do it yourself if you like!!! Really??! Horrible that any salon charging this much money for service dont even dry and style your hair! Let alone a first time client! First red flag! Thought I was in an upscale salon not great clips!? So not only did Nina allow a client to walk out with orange hair but they up-sale an 18 year old the entire time and I feel doing that to a young girl is taking advantage. Even told my daughter and her friend that came along on the visit that they would do a deep conditioner for only 5.00 since they get 20.00 off for referring. Well they gave her friend the service for 5.00 but told me I had to pay 25.00 that we wont get 20.00 off until we receive coupon by mail! Just a ploy to get you back in! Well lot of good good that does when we will never go back to this place! So Lindsay the next day came in to fix my daughters hair by using an ash blonde toner which looked great but toners are not a permanent fix only temporary. So 2 weeks today and the yellow orange color is back. Call to speak to customer service Chelsea about the problem. She spoke with the owner about what they could do for us. She calls back saying since Lindsey did the toner that there was nothing more he would do!! Oh and How they have been in business for 20 years! ! Like that matters to me after I threw away all that money just to have another salon have to correct their mess up! Maybe color correction would be nice to offer. Especially since she ask for blonde and got orange hair! Horrible people to do business with! Had I been with my daughter when she was finished I would have never paid for this service. Please people read the reviews before going here! I wish I would have!!

Edit : stopped by to see what could be done - Flonnie is apparently the owner and offered me a " $25 complimentary protein treatment" as a token of my frizzy not curly hair gee thanks.... then offered to take the perm out. So, $140 for you to put a perm in and then take it out? Nope. Then some free products were offered...pass. I spent over $400 with them so I hope they enjoyed it because thats the last penny theyll ever see from me. Never again. Complete joke of a small business. I had a COMPLETELY HORRIBLE experience here. Flonnie was my stylist. Her assistants were probably my favorite part! They were so attentive and actually cared if I was comfortable or not. They smiled a lot and made genuine conversation - those girls deserve a raise! I wanted a body wave, highlights and a cut. Once I arrived she advised me that I needed to get an additional conditioning protein treatment thing, it was $25 so I agreed. They started with the shampoo and protein. The body wave was absolutely dreadful. I was very worried that the curls wouldnt hold in my hair and I asked that my stylist (apparently also the owner) to take a look at my hair and let me know her thoughts. I definitely did not want to spend $140 on something that wouldnt work! My stylist said my hair was "strong" and it would be fine. After the body wave was completed my hair looked scraggly and not curly at ALL. She said it looked "beach wavy" but it looked more like frizzy tangles to me. At the end of my service, she actually used a curling iron to give the curls that I thought the body wave would produce. I wasted $140 because my hair after my shower this morning dried completely straight...like it always has...only now it looks frizzy and like a 7 year old curled it. Thanks Elon Salon! Ill be telling all my customers and friends to STAY AWAY!

My mom and I have been going here for over 15 years. Kelley is the best. Professional, personable, and so gifted with color and styling. I once tried a different salon while I was living in Athens, GA going to school, and it wasnt a terrible job, but couldnt hold a candle to Kelleys work. She does the best highlights. Natural and beautiful color every time. Over the years I have also tried a few of the other ladies when Kelley was unavailable. Debbie, Shantell, and Dee Dee, all very nice and do an excellent job as well but I tend to stick with Kelley after being together for 15+ years. The thing of it is, if you know what you want and can articulate it clearly and they say they can recreate that then you will have an excellent experience. The are the color experts yes, but not mind readers :) Also you have to be realistic. Im a blonde usually but Ive gone dark twice before with Kelley (and it was a gorgeous color on me thanks to her excellent choice) but when I was ready to join the blonde club again she explained that realistically itd take a couple sessions and the hair would be damaged due to the fact that it was already processed and we were going to put more bleach on already previously bleached hair. I feel that some of these reviewers may have a skewed rating. I have referred at least 4 friends to this place whove asked me about my hair, especially the color, because they really are that fantastic. Best colorists in Georgia in my opinion. I actually live in town in Atlanta now, but I still go back to Marietta for appointments with Kelley and probably always will so long as shes there. Amanda Crisp
