If I could give them a zero I would. I went to this place to get my hair straightened and washed, which was very simple to do. When I came I had about 6 rubber bands in the back of my hair where I have put in my clip-in tracks. The lady begin to cut out the rubber bands, when I look down on the ground i noticed that she was cutting my hair as she was cutting out the rubber bands. Now, I must let you know there was no weave in my hair and she was aware of that, she knew that every bit of the hair in my head was mine and she steel cut my hair instead of the rubber bands. I saw my hair and the rubber band still in my hair where she had cut it. I was appalled, I couldnt believe that she would actually just cut my hair out to make it easier for her. Instead of just cutting the rubber bands. I said," oh my God youre cutting my hair." She looked at the owner, which from my understanding her name was Iris and begin to speak in Spanish. Instead of Iris the owner speaking to her she looks at me and say when she does the clip-on she normally braid versus putting in a rubber band and asked another girl to finish my hair as if it was okay for her to just cut my hair off. I asked the owner why would she have an attitude with me, because I was upset about her cutting my hair. She began to speak in Spanish once again, not knowing that I knew a very good amount of Spanish she said that she knew when the black woman walked in with two kids she was going to be problem. I spoke to her in Spanish back letting her know that I understood exactly what she had just said about me and I no longer wanted them to do my hair. As I walked out and left she proceeded to call me crazy because I left. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They do not care about the health of your hair all they want is the money even if that means cutting out your hair or damaging your hair. Needless to say I left out with two bald spots in the middle of my head.

Ill begin by saying I am a VERY picky hair person. Im 2.5 years natural and will leave a salon in a heartbeat if I have subpar service. I decided to visit Iris on Super Bowl Sunday morning to avoid washing on my own (which is what I typically do). I was the 3rd person there. I waited maybe 5 mins before I went to the shampoo bowl. I received the BEST shampoo ever! To the point that I was like...okay, okay, its clean. I had a deep conditioning and skipped the roller set, opting for a direct blow dry instead. I typically skip the rollers to save time, but I shouldve just got them. Maggie was my stylist, and while she did an excellent job, she was just a tad bit slow drying my hair. I was in and out in just at 2 hours, maybe a little less. I paid $70 for a wash/set, deep conditioning, trim, and eyebrow wax. Im posting a price list under pics. My pros are the clealiness of the salon, the initial greeting, their flow of clients, and the final product. My style options were body or straight...I chose body and my hair is really cute. My trim was more of a cut, but I dont mind. My only con was the length of time and amount of heat it took to dry my hair. Heat that causes you to flinch at any time is completely unnecessary. I will definitely be back to see Maggie though! Ill go ahead and get the roller set next time.

Ok so the first time I went things were great, but the 2nd and 3rd time not so great. I made an appointment on the my time app and specifically asked for iris. So I go the day of my appointment and they say iris never works on this day and they have no knowledge of my appointment. They need better communication with the app. But there was still someone there to do my hair I just had to wait a long time unfortunately. The 3rd time I went i called and made an appointment. So I go for my appointment and its prom day so Im kind of rushing and I let them know that. So I thought things would go smoothly, cause there were not many customers. So things are ok for awhile but then I notice that ppl are going before me when I was clearly there first and I let them know and speak to them about it but it just seemed like ppl were still going before me, When my appointment was 2 hours ago. They just have bad customer service and do not value appointments. Appointments mean nothing to them. I was getting the simplest thing done and my appointment took forever. Also they use too much heat so I think Im done with them.

I went here today and it was awesome seriously there are people on here like oh this and that but no its awesome like Im natural but then again Im west Indian too but my folks are Hispanic and white but then again Im like west Indian and Dominican so Im natural curly hair but when flat iron it looks fake or like I have a perm which I dont but if you dont like the rough hair wash then I dont know what to tell you because I love it like that my hair feels so light since I left Im now growing my hair yes heat hurts duh tf everyone knows that if it doesnt what blow dryer you using but they are the best to me and I went here to day it was from 1:30pm to 3:00 due to deep conditioning which is the extra 30 min .

My experience from START to FINISH was PERFECT! 1st off, this was a SATURDAY morning at about 9:45am...When I stepped in I immediately heard music, not too loud but enough to get my feet tapping! Anyway, next I signed in, and went to sit down...I was greeted by the owner, then went straight to get my hair washed!!! I chose a deep conditioning, which was wonderful. I requested not to do a roller set and just to straighten my hair BONE straight...which I received!! My HAIR IS PERFECT!! Thanks yall! !

If you come with patience theyll take care of the rest! They were amazing; Iris is the best Dominican salon in powder springs- Ive been around. Theyre flexible and open on Sunday. I havent seen roaches and Ive been sitting here for about 2 hours. Give it a shot; you might be surprised.

Says they close at 7, but they really close earlier then it states online and at the store . So make sure to get there early .
