Long story short, the experience wasnt unpleasant but the cut was quite lacking, especially for the 21$ (+ tip) fee. The more verbose version below: After purchasing a home in Roswell, I wanted to see if there was a competent barber close by. I hadnt cut my hair in a while so it was quite a mess. I saw all of the positive reviews and noted that this place was open on a Sunday, so I decided to come in. The atmosphere and decor was nice. The stylists seem to have a lot of fun and were on a first name basis with many customers. However I noticed that many male customers seemed to have almost comically similar hair cuts. This raised a warning in my mind, but wasnt necessarily strange, so I let it go. I wrote my name down on the sign in sheet as instructed and simply selected to wait for the first available barber since I didnt know how good any of them were. Theyre rather packed on Sundays but the wait wasnt long. I got up to the platter and finally got my cut. The stylist was friendly and the overall experience was pleasant, though the brevity was concerning. My cut took about 5-10 mins, max. Even at common franchise shops, my hair takes 10-20 mins to cut when its that length. I gave roughly the same vague instructions. I simply wanted something shorter that looked good without hair spray or gel. A stylist isnt a stylist if I have to tell them exactly what I want. Anyway I was satisfied (and left a gratuitous tip) as I crossed off something on my Sunday list, and it looked okay from the front... I couldnt really see the back or anything. They finished off with a hot towel and short massage. I didnt really care, but whatever it was included. Afterwards, I went to a relative and had her examine the cut closely and give me opinions. Basically, it was a sloppy and rushed job. The back wasnt even at all. The rear and rear sides had a lot of places where the hair wasnt thinned down properly so I had hair that was kind of sticking out due to the varying density. Im not even sure if the front is even at all when held straight. Im pretty sure it isnt. Apparently the only available style is brushing your hair to the side... I dont think any effort was put into this.. So basically over 21$ for a pretty rushed cut. My hair isnt easy to work with in a way. Its very wavy, so its kind of complicated... but apparently cheap chain salons do a better job than this place (not to mention one of them included shampooing and washing for free, in a total fee that was lower than this place). Its a lot better than where I started, but thats not saying much. Im not sure if my experience was just unlucky, but my opinion is this: save your money for something else.

Best haircut ever! I always hated my haircuts. Hated going in, waiting, hated getting it cut, hated it afterwards when it never looked like I wanted it to. $20 cuts or $60 cuts, it didnt matter. I started going to SportClips just so I wouldnt hate the experience as much, but the cuts still werent good. Eventually, I just thought I had weird, horrible hair that no one could get right. That all changed with one trip to Jack & Sons. I pulled up a GQ article on how to get the haircut I wanted. Step one was go to a great barbershop. So I researched online and found Jacks and all these great reviews. So Monday (11/18/13) I was the first one there. I showed Jack the picture and asked if he could do it. Jack said "it would be my pleasure". You can tell hes a pro. Warm, professional conversation, old-timey atmosphere but with flat panel TVs, hot towel, shoulder massager, straight-razor shave, and a special vacuum to get every little bit of hair off before you go. And finally, I love my haircut! $15 is an absolute steal. Id gladly pay double or more. I cant thank Jack enough and all of the other commenters that got me there. I will never go anywhere else but Jack & Sons.

Excellent first experience and good haircut, will definitely return! David was fast, efficient and cut my hair exactly as I asked. At the end he cleaned up the back of my neck with a straight-razor (which was pretty cool) and wrapped a steamed towel around my head which felt great. Thats the kind of above-and-beyond differentiator that offers a unique experience and earns five stars! I believe this is a privately owned one-location barbershop. The four employees I saw all looked more mature and settled with at least a decade or two of experience (unlike popular chains). At 1:00pm on a Sunday I had zero wait-time. If I have an equally great 2nd visit I will upgrade to five-stars; it did motivate me to write my first Google review.

Ive been going to Jack for over 12 years. I was referred by a few friends, they have been going to Jack for over 14 years. Great man, Great Barber, Great Family. Hot foam shave, back massage, Great experience. His son is fantastic also, Neryk, does amazing work with beards of any size. They have other barbers in the shop as well, all do top notch work. Recently Jacks daughter started full time. My 2 year old son never likes a haircut. He sat in her chair and didnt make a sound. She is amazing. Highest level of recommendation to this family business. Call for an appointment as they are busy. Walk ins go fairly quick, but if you want into Jack or Neryks chair, call ahead.

I remember the day I walked into Jack & Sons Barbershop. I had just gotten a haircut at Great Clips and they jacked my hair up!!!! When I walked in I was greeted warmly. I looked at Neryk, pointed to my head and asked.... Can you fix this? He laughed and said absolutely. After my haircut I was so pleased with it. I asked him how much for the cut and he responded with...."Nothing, just come back here to get your haircut from now on." Well that was 6 years ago and he has been the only person to cut my hair since then. Neryk, Jack, Kristi, and David are 2nd to none when it comes to customer service, quality of service, and just being great people. A++++++

I’ve been coming here for four years and it used to be a very welcoming place. I was a good customer who always tipped 100% on every haircut. Whenever I would come in they would always be very friendly but that’s all changed. Four of my students get their haircuts here now. Starting 6 months ago one of the owners started treating me poorly and today was the final straw. I won’t be going back nor recommending Jack and Sons. I could go on but the bottom line is that in my opinion they used to value relationships. Now they value cutting as many heads of hair a day. Just not the same.

I was searching for a good barber in Roswell and I came across Jack and Sons. After reading all of the positive reviews on here I decided to go get my haircut. This was honestly the best haircut I have ever received. Jack did an excellent job and I have found my new barber. I will not be going anywhere else to get a haircut from now on. Besides receiving an outstanding hair cut, Jack is very inviting and genuinely appreciates your business. It was a pleasure giving Jack my business and I look forward to getting my haircut here for years to come!
