My brother, a truck driver, passed away while delivering a load in Georgia. We have no family or friends in this area. Because he had wanted to be cremated I search the internet for a funeral home close to his location. I found SouthCare and called them late on Saturday afternoon. They immediately took care of getting my brother from the hospital. I met with them the following Monday in Stockbridge GA. Glen was very helpful and compassionate. I had requested a viewing and they setup everything. Ron was the person I spoke to on Saturday and he was also friendly. There were no pushing to buy this or buy that. They left my husband and I alone to have time to make our decisions. They also provided me with the paperwork I needed for the VA and a flag correctly folded. My brother was a Marine. I highly recommend this funeral home. Besides being reasonably priced, they really care about the family and the deceased. I wish other funeral homes were as compassionate and understanding as these 2 men. Thank you very much, Glen and Ron.

We havent lived in this area very long, but I asked around and SouthCare was recommended to me. Calling for the first time was difficult, maybe because I was by myself, and because I never had to do this before. Right away I was put at ease as all my questions were answered, and the procedure that I thought would be complicated was made simple. Because my husbands death was unexpected, I did not have time to make arrangements ahead of time, but everything still went very smoothly. I was able to complete the paperwork on line and at my leisure. In the meantime, Glen Telfer took good care of my husband. I think what I appreciated the most about Glen is that the communication between us was very good. He promptly returned my calls when I had a question, and also was very attentive to ask and follow my wishes. When I first met Glen, I realized that I was no longer alone, but had someone beside me every step of the way. I am so thankful that SouthCare was there for me at the most difficult time in my life! My Mom passed away at her home and had Southcares add from newspaper on her fridge. My daughter called them and Gayle handled the info and arrangements on the phone. Glenn came out immediately and brought mom to their facility. This was the first time I ever had to deal with this situation and was overwhelmed. Everyone was very patient, compassionate and understanding in the next few days while I was making decisions. I had a vase that I had bought for mom years ago that she wanted for ashes and they were professional about that. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. They were very affordable and had several options to choose from including a small chapel on premises. After several day deliberation we decided to go another route with memorial service and the guys were very understanding. My daughter and I were back and forth several times and they never were impatient with us. Very professional.

Mr. Glenn Telfer is an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate person who instantly puts people at ease. He patiently answers all questions and allows you to proceed at your own pace without feeling rushed. He came to pick my husband up immediately after being called on the Fourth of July and was very supportive, staying with me until I was ready to leave the hospice. The hallmark of any service provider is just that: providing service to others. I feel that this facility provides the highest quality services to their clients and that they are blessed to have consummate professionals on hand to deliver them.

I had a very good experience with SouthCare Cremation & Funeral Society. When my precious mother died - representative Glenn Telfer was so professional and had the right balance of caring as well. I highly recommend this service. I used to work for the Cremation Society in Florida and learned so much from that experience. This is such a practical and less stressful way to handle such a difficult situation. I found that their checklist of things to do after losing a loved one was very helpful since it is hard to remember all you have to do. I prepaid for both my mother and I in advance and carried a card to use at the time needed. It was a smooth process.

SouthCare in Stockbridge made a difficult set of tasks and decisions very simple and straight forward. We knew of SouthCare from the passing of a relative the previous year, but didnt know what to expect. Glenn Telfer was our contact and he is an incredibly helpful person and took care of everything. He was constantly, but not disruptively, in contact and walked us through the entire process. This was such a difficult time for our family and I dont know what we would have done without his support and help. Thank you.
