My 2 children have attended Starlight since the day they opened. My daughter is now in the 2 yr old room and my son is in the 4 yr old room. I have read all the reviews on here and on Kudzu. So, for those of you that want to report negative reviews, get the facts straight! First, for those that think the teacher turn over has been high, maybe it has been for a reason...you dont qualify to work in a daycare/school. As far as ratios, come to work employees and then there wouldnt be an issue. I come into the daycare at different times and have never been stopped from walking to my childs room. If there was a problem about ratios, there wouldnt be an open door policy. As far as the "trips" and "other things", Rani is married, her husband does work and she does have a life and income outside of the daycare. The daycare has its own income and if people would pay their tuition on time, maybe the staff would get a raise. You have to make money to give money. And for the unemployment, you have to work at a job for 6 months or more to draw it and if you were let go for just cause (not doing your job) then you cant draw unemployment.

My 4 year old daughter has attended here for several months and I have nothing but good things to say for the employees and management here. My daughter loves going to "school" (that is once we get her out of bed). Any time there is an issue, which is rare, between the students, the staff has handled everything very professionally. They really care about the quality of environment for the children. The day is filled with fun, creative activities that fill the "Friday Folder" for my daughter to show her mother and I on Fridays. She has learned how to write and continues to impress her mother and I as she learns on a daily basis. I will never forget sitting around the dinner table and she just out of the blue said, "Daddy, two plus two is four!" I mean she really enjoys learning and the faculty/staff at Starlight have done an excellent job catering to those needs. I would recommend this facility to anyone, and one more perk that Daddys and Mommys alike will enjoy is the fact that Starlight provides all the services as other daycares at a VERY reasonable price. FIVE STARS all the way!!!

My little guy loved it here (he was reaching from my arms to the infant room instructor after the first week during drop off and visits). I had to take him out recently due to employment issues, but Im directing my new job search in the area so I can re-enroll him. I worked in the area, so I stopped in on my lunch break frequently (which I took anywhere between 11:30am and 5:00pm) and my son was always happy and well-cared for. Staff are friendly and willing to share the details of your childs day, even if there are a million other things going on when you arrive for pick-up. As a first-time, and slightly overprotective, mother, I couldnt be happier with the care they provided my son. **posted from my husbands account, thus the disconnect between the posting name and my status as a mother

My children attended Starlight Academy for Summer vacation 2009. They both loved going to Starlight and had nothing but good things to say when they would come home. My kids have attended the YMCA in past years and we were not pleased with the personal attention they received there. They loved everything at Starlight including the meals, field trips and the one on one attention they received. I will continue to use them for my childcare needs! The only thing I would recommend them adding to their program is swimming mainly b/c my kids love to swim.

Our daughter has attended since she was seven months old, and we have found it to be a loving, family environment for her. All of the staff members are friendly, and no matter what time of day we have stopped in, the proper ratios are in place and the proper procedures are being followed. We love the open communication the staff members have with us, and our daughter absolutely loves her teachers. Our experience at Starlight Academy has been a very positive one.

I cant say enough good things about this facility. The owner and workers are very pleasant, warm, caring and welcoming. My son loves going to school and has been talking more and more everyday. Im very thankful to have found such a wonderful place for my son. Mothers always worry about someone else taking care of their children and I can honestly say that I am worry free when I drop him off because I know he is in good hands!!! THANK YOU STARLIGHT!

My child has attended Starlight since the fall. She has progressed well in a short time and looks forward to going every day. I have always found them to be professional in regards to her well being and education. Beyond learning fundamental skills, she has expressed a love and caring relationship with her caregivers. I am very pleased with their work.

My 4yr old has gone to Starlight since they opened in the fall 2008. I have been very pleased. The Staff & Teachers are all very friendly and all know my family by name. They even help me with some of the behavioral problems that I was having with my son when his baby brother was born. Plus you cant beat their affordable pricing for care.

Does not keep state ratios, teachers always leaving & moving around, do not follow proper procedures during diaper changes, ect. Not a stable envirement for children.
