Allow me to say first and foremost that is posting has nothing to do with the staff at this facility, They are great and my kids love them. This is in regards to the ownership. The owners, husband and wife, seem to be focused so much on the money that they lose sight of the people that they are servicing. I have had multiple experiences of this over the past eight years that weve been there. One would think after eight years and almost $100,000 that the owners would make you feel like a valued customer, this is not the case. Case in point, today I for the first time in eight years took my daughter who is a-year-old into the facility for one day drop it because shes out for the week because of Thanksgiving. When I brought her in the office manager told me that I would have to pay the full week price for one day. I asked her why so if Im doing a one-day drop in and she told me that if the children are enrolled in the program one day is going to cost a whole week but if the children are not enrolled in the program which means youre not a continuing customer its only $60 for the day. Now this seems completely backwards to me because if I have never been a customer there I can pay $60 for one day and never see them again but if I pay my $350 a week I cant drop my kids in for one day when theyre not in school. I have to say that the office manager seemed sympathetic to the situation especially when I told her that my wife was sick, but her words were its not her decision its above her. It really saddens me that the program would be run so wonderfully by the staff but so greedily by the management. And just to clarify other things about this facility for people that do not know, they do not accept credit card as a method of payment even in an emergency situation because paying that 2% fee would take a whole $4-6 out of the owners pocket, if theres only one day of school for the week and four days off your paying for a whole week of care even if they provide one day, and theyre going to charge you for food every chance they get. Its sad because I love to be able just to go to another program of discovery point because weve been at others where the owners are more in touch with the clients, unfortunately they are out of the way. *UPDATE- We just got a call from their office manager letting us know that the owner would make an exception this one time and let us do the drop in. That being said, its an hour and 20 minutes after I had my daughter there and my wife has already had to get up out of bed sick and take care of her so it kind of negates the point of taking her there in the first place. That answer could have been had in five minutes or had a policy been in place for their current clients it would not have been an issue. Personally, its just rediculous.

This daycare is amazing and the staff, and teachers, really care about the children! The facility is clean, bright, and friendly! My son is 14 months old, and pouts when it is time to go home! All the teachers are so friendly, and nurturing. I am able to have a piece of mind knowing that my son is in good, safe hands while I am at work. The meals and snacks are nutritious, and the front staff is very informative about what goes on day to day. If you are looking for a great place to keep your child, THIS IS IT!!

Our son Devyn attended this school from 3 months old to 16 months old. We had to take him out due to a job transfer. Devyn just turned 3, and we moved closer to the school, so we brought him back! The transition seems smooth, and the teachers that were there before, are still there!! That says A LOT!! I LOVE this facility, and the staff!!!! Thank you, DP #40!!!

I have two children (5 and 3) at Discovery Point, and they have both been there since they were infants. The staff is great. They do a great job hiring and placing teachers in classrooms where they can be effective. The facility is very clean. We have had no problems at all with this center in five years.
