We have been at Woodstock Dance and Music Academy for 8 years now. My daughter started guitar lessons with Erwin a few weeks before they even had a studio. We have seen so much growth in the studio and teachers over the years. Not only in the studios size or building, but also the depth of relationships and commitment they give their students. I have 3 children who currently take music and 1 of those takes multiple dance classes as well. My children are not ones to want to be on stage and the teachers respect that and have never pushed any of my kids in a negative way but have always been encouraging and allowed them to grow in confidence before stretching their comfort levels. I see the teachers working tirelessly along side of their students and building character in them. I love the approachability of all the teachers and the fact that the owners are so involved and hands on. Many nights you will find Neta, one of the owners, on the bench in the lobby with the parents viewing the older girls dancing. She has such a neat role in that she teaches the younger kids and then gets to see them come full circle as a teen still at the studio. I can honestly say that after 8 years at the same studio I dont have a single negative thing to say about them. That is hard to find!

My 2.5 year old decided she wanted to dance. We put her in Mrs. Netas tap and ballet class. The first few times she was so shy, crying and was to scared to dance with the other girls. Neta, the teacher, did a great job of making her feel comfortable and getting her to join in. She is so patient with the little ones!!! Eventually, after just a few classes my little girl became a budding ballerina under Netas direction. It amazed me how MUCH she taught them, and how MUCH they actually learned at such a young age. The little girls absolutely love Neta! She is not only an amazing dancer, but she is soo sweet to her students. I can honestly say that there is not a better dance teacher in the state of GA. Recently, my husband got transferred to a new job, and we had to move out of state. I have been hesitant to re-enroll my daughter in a dance studio, because I know we will never find another teacher like Neta. My little girl (now almost three) says to me all the time, "Mommy, I want to go back to dance class", and "Mommy, I miss Neta, I love her, she is so sweet". Thank you, Neta for teaching our daughter a love of dance at such a young age. We miss you, but will never forget her first dance teacher!

Over the past several years, my husband and I have had either one or both of our daughters enrolled in some form or fashion at DMA. The quality of teaching is fantastic, the girls have LOVED their instructors! They have had Ms. Neta and Ms. Virginia - both of whom have taken great care to teach not only the dance material within the classroom, but they also model the social graces and are great at encouraging social skills in all of their students - especially the wee ones! They have immeasurable patience. The schedules offered by DMA are varied enough so that we can always find a good fit for whatever season of life were in, the prices are an excellent value - even more so now with their new facility! Wow! What a great improvement! The families we have met through dance classes have been a joy as well. Basically, we have been thrilled with the staff and each class that weve taken. We look forward to many more years of the same!

My daughter had a less than positive experience at the dance studio she attended from K-5th grade. It eroded her confidence and soured her on dancing. We decided to look into lessons for her growing interest in guitar and voice and luckily we found Dance and Music Academy. The director Neta was welcoming on the phone and suggested a trial lesson with both the guitar and voice teacher. WOW! Erwin(guitar) and Maddie(voice) blew my daughter and me away with their knowledge and patience. We just completed our first year at the studio with a phenomenal recital. Everyone associated with this studio is professional while truly taking a child centered approach. My daughter feels so happy and comfortable that she has decided to try a dance class again! Neta, Erwin and Maddie, thanks for restoring my daughters confidence while helping her budding creativity in the performing arts!

Well I got my 5 year old ready for her first dance class ever, and arriving at the studio I found out her classes have been delayed a few weeks due to construction. Then the lady behind the counter mutters an unrealistic "sorry" and "we sent an email out to the classes that were effected." Well obviously I didnt get that email, and I know others didnt either because I noticed other parents as I was leaving telling their children that their class wasnt ready yet. With not communicating this effectively and the disappointment on my daughters face just left a bad taste in my mouth. First impressions are important right? The studio has great reviews and I see bumper stickers on a lot of cars, so hopefully once the lessons actually start, I will be able to see why everyone likes them so much.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dance & Music Academy!! I have three girls there and in about another year will have all four of my girls dancing there. They have an amazing staff who develops great relationship with the families and the girls. They are very family oriented and welcome feedback from them, which you dont get that often at other studios. The music, dance moves, costumes, and atmosphere are all age appropriate. My girls love dancing there and have learned so much during the 5+ years we have been there. I love that they stress kindness and friendliness to all the girls who dances there. I recommend them to all our friends and family.

Dance and Music Academy has fostered all three of my girls love of dance from their start at three years old with ballet to their growth into blossoming competitive dancers. Each teacher is highly qualified and constantly pouring their knowledge into our children. Not only do they care about each dancers technique but also their personal character. We have had the distinct pleasure of watching this studio grow exponentially and still maintain a very loving family feel. Dance and Music stands out for their ability to produce quality dancers who are also quality people. We are proud to be part of the DMA family!!!

My 3 year old daughter has been attending the bitsy ballet and tap class at Dance and Music Academy for almost a year now. (We had tried another local dance studio for a month before that.) My daughter has a "mind of her own" at times, and Ms. Neta has been absolutely amazing with her since the beginning. She is extremely patient, kind, and attentive to all the girls. AND...it is remarkable how much they can learn at such a young age. Our daughter LOVES dance class and LOVES Ms. Neta! My husband and I are so appreciative that we have found such a wonderful, nurturing teacher.
