DO NOT GO TO DRAKE ! Drake Tire & Auto’s car diagnosis: I told them, over the phone, when I was making an appointment: pulls right while driving. *Strut – OESpectrum – Right Front (1) $161.72 *Strut – OESpectrum – Left Front (1) $161.72 *Strut Mounting Kit – Left Front (1) $84.86 *Strut Mounting Kit – Right Front (1) $84.86 *Sway Bar Link – Front Susp (2) $57.98 = $115.96 *MECHANIC LABOR (3.000) $90.00 = $270.00 *205/60R16 92 H HEADWAY HH301 A/S (4) $82.00 = $328.00 FREE ROTATION EVERY 3,000 MILES, FREE BALANCING EVERY 12,000 MILES FOR THE LIFE OF THE TIRES, FIRST FLAT REPAIR IS FREE, FREE 2 YEAR/20,000 MILE ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY WITH THE PURCHASE OF FOUR TIRES. Right front strut mount is noisy, will need front struts, front sway bar links. Frnt tires are worn oddly, left rear tire has a plug in it and a large bubble in the side wall ILLINOIS USER FEE $10.00 SHOP SUPPLIES $12.00 TIRE DISPOSAL FEE $4.00 SALES TAX $73.56 AMOUNT DUE: $1,306.68 I got bamboozled. So, the worker at the front desk kept pressing the issue for me to get all of that fixed as soon as possible. I told him that I don’t have that much right now. I took out my wallet to pay for the wheel alignment, that’s what I came there for, and he told me they didn’t do it. He said I can’t get a wheel alignment until all of those things get fixed. So, how come when I left the place, my car was worse than when I brought it there? It seems like each day my car feels like it’s going to break down on the street. Last night was the last straw. My car is super wobbly and it doesn’t take much for the car to sway into another lane. I’m really nervous about driving it to work on today. I made a turn, last night, and it felt like the back wheel was coming off. I have my left hand at 11:00 and my right hand at 2:00. If I have to pull my car to the right, L is at 8:00 and R is at 1:00. I really can’t afford to miss work, but after my car was behaving last night, I don’t trust it to drive on 3 highways or even side streets (US-67S to 367S to 270W to I-170S to I-64W to MO-141). I took my car to another mechanic and found that they loosened my struts!!!! Do NOT go to this PLACE!!!

Just had 2k worth of work done on my Volvo XC90 T6. They did a great job and my SUV drives like new again. Great warranties, Great staff. Thanks guys!!! For the people who are saying dont go there..... Just because you cant afford getting the work done does not mean its a bad shop! Cars are expensive to fix.

I had to bring in my car on very short notice and Chris, my mechanic at Drakes was awesome. They charged me $50 less than what I thought they would. The best part is the service was quick and my car ran perfectly once I picked it up. Ill definitely be returning to Drakes anytime my car needs some TLC!
