This place is inexpensive and honest. I went there twice to get my state inspection and saw other customers being treated fairly. I recently had brake problems - I knew I needed new pads and could feel that the rotors needed smoothing. I took it first to the dealership. They said I needed calipers as well as pads and rotor machining. For the pads and rotors they were going to charge around $500 and another $350 for the calipers. I then took the car to Meineke and let them analyze it without biasing them. They said that what I was experiencing was just from rotors that needed to be cleaned up. They replaced all four pads and machined all four rotors for $380. That solved the problem. Guess I didnt need new calipers after all :)

I went in for a $14.99 oil change. I did get oil changed in a timely manner. The next day I noticed that there was a big puddle of oil under my car. The oil plug was leaking. I went to the Alton Store on Monday and they said I had a oversize oil drain plug and they were not responible for the problem. They did note it on my invoice(I didnt know anything about this until they showed me on the computer Monday morning) but didnt say anything about the problem to me. I dont believe they did the 23 point inspection that come with the oil change. I ask them if there was any other problems (they told me about a bad spring on my strut I ask them to look at it.) and I was told no. Way to mess up someone car and claim no responsibility.

I called two hours before close with a brake problem. The owner was polite. He made no promises, but said he would try to get me in. 2 hours later, I was driving my car away with 4 new brake pads and rotors; at a reasonable price. Everyone was polite, and the owner was genuinely appreciative of peoples business. He made certain to thank everyone explicitly. I definitely recommend this store.

My car was dripping something, but I dont have a lift; saw the good reviews here and brought it in. Turns out Im a total car dummy, cause it was just the AC drain. They didnt charge me a dime, refused a tip, and cheerfully stated, "just bring it back when we can actually fix something for ya." Great place.

Quick service, extremely fair prices, everyone is friendly and professional. The guy at the front desk even gave me helpful advice on my insurance for a cracked windshield which in turn saved me $400. These guys are great and have earned a life customer!!!!!

When you take your car there, make sure you know whats wrong with it. They have a bad habit of fixing something thats not causing the problem. They will have you pay the higher price for something and your car will still need fixing.
