Visceral Dance Center is hands down the best place to take a good class in chicago! Not only does the super awesome facility make you feel welcome, its clean too! Ive taken almost every class on the schedule and am rarely disappointed. The staff is very knowledgable and dedicated in each of their classes. Karly Hansen and Nick Pupillo are hands down my two favorite classes on the schedule. They both push you to work hard; you never leave without learning something new. Karlys classes are so open, welcoming and refreshing while Nicks are extremely inspiring and challenging. There is not a bad class on the schedule! Thanks to Nick Pupillo for providing a fantastic place to dance and sharing your talent.

Visceral is my favorite place to dance in the city. The staff is super helpful and nice, they make everyone feel welcome. Renting space is easy, and its always clean and ready. I love Melinda Myers class on Wednesdays. Shes super friendly and knowledgeable. Her class not only challenges your body, but your mind in unexpected ways and patterns. I look forward to that class every week. I recommend Visceral to anyone curious about dance, no matter your ability level. Pros will find challenging, exciting, inspiring classes, and beginners will find friendly, fun and patient teachers.

Visceral is one of the best places to get solid training for any professional dancers, but also being able to enjoy some fun classes like hip hop, and jazz funk. The facility is at an amazing location with a lot of parking, close to the highway and the city but without the city chaos. It is kept very clean, and as a dancer whenever floor work is given, it feels great to know you are dancing on a clean floor. The staff is really friendly and welcoming, and the teachers are exceptional :) Check it out for yourself and enjoy some dancing. Great place for rentals too.

Ive danced everywhere from L.A. to New York including dancing on Broadway. Most teachers are dancers who are trying to make it onto videos or Broadway so they dont really take time to teach. Nick - owner of Visceral - is easily the BEST dance teacher I have ever had. He makes corrections that have immediate results, and his choreography is challenging but incredibly fun. His classes make Lou Conte seem overly stuffy and Joel Hall sub-par.

I have been continuously impressed by Visceral Dance Center! The studios are beautiful and the faculty and staff are unbelievably friendly. From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome. This is a perfect studio for professional and novice dancers. You will walk out feeling challenged, excited, and wanting more!

Visceral Dance Center is a fantastic place to take dance classes!! The studios are huge and spacious, the floors are are amazing, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming! There are classes available for dancers of all levels and the teachers create exciting choreography and are attentive to all students needs!!!

Very good dance school. I went here a while back for hip-hop classes. The instructor was very good, but the beginner class was fairly advanced. Many of the people in the classes had been doing it for quite a while so they were familiar with how the instructor taught. Otherwise a very serious dance studio.

VDC offers some of the best dance classes Ive taken in Chicago. It has a different dance atmosphere than what Im used to but I like it.
