The Chicago Dance Academy is a new state of the art facility with an incredible staff and a first rate director, Jane Meredith. I have had the good fortune of being able to work with Jane for over 25 years. During that time, we developed the pre-professional program at the Green Bay School of Dance, for dancers training in classical ballet. The initial purpose of this program was to intensify the training so that the dancer is better prepared for entrance into college dance programs, performing arts high schools, and competitive summer workshop auditions. Past participants have been accepted into and received full and partial merit scholarships to attend many different summer programs and performing arts high schools including: Milwaukee Ballet, The Rock, Joffrey Midwest, Ballet Met, Harid Conservatory, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Walnut Hill, North Carolina School of the Arts, Houston Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey and the School of American Ballet. Many of our pre-professional program alumni have gone on to dance with prestigious companies throughout the United States, including Carolina Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ohio Ballet, Dance Kaleidoscope, Nashville Ballet, Jose Limón Dance Company, and Memphis Ballet. Jane has always been a well respected teacher and a favorite among many of our students. The Chicago Dance Academy is a fantastic addition to the Chicago dance scene.

I am an adult beginner to ballet. My interest is not to be a dancer, but instead use the discipline of ballet to develop and maintain flexibility and strength. I could not be more happy with my teachers, Jane and Chloe. Their focus on technique is especially welcome. I have taken classes there for only a month, but have noticed measured improvement after each class. I still have a ways to go, but I look forward to each class. The studio is terrific. There are no supporting posts to have to be mindful of. The fellow students are also a nice supportive group from around the neighborhood. Chicago Dance Academy only opened up a few months ago. They serve the aspiring ballet dancer and those that simply enjoy the discipline equally well. This a great opportunity for nearby families with kids and adults!

This is a wonderful new place to take dance lessons for both children and adults. Classes in many different styles of dance are offered here. The facility is beautiful, and staff are all very nice. The director, Jane Meredith, is a wonderful ballet teacher. I have taken her adult ballet class, and she is very patient, kind, and accommodating to students of all levels. I highly recommend checking out classes here!
