Ive been coming to dance hip hop here for a few months now. What started as a casual thing to do instead of being on a treadmill became a passion of mine. Love the staff and the instructors. The classes are hard sometimes but towards the end you think "Whoa did I just dance like that?" Definitely a great way to have fun, make new friends and burn a ton of calories. The only negative is that it can get really hot in the studios in some summer days. Bring a towel and drink plenty of water

Its an unassuming space, but the classes are so much fun. I am not a dancer, but a friend convinced me to come to hip hop classes with him. I enjoyed it so much I kept going for months! The space could definitely use some upgrades, but I get that money doesnt grow on trees for dance companies. The instructors are amazing, and I loved how warm and accepting the ones I have worked with have been with novices. I highly recommend taking a class here if you enjoy any style of dance.

Joel Hall Dancers & Center changed my perspective towards dance and it has become more then a hobby or interest but a necessity. The instructors at JHDC make corrections to improve ones overall dance abilities and technique. I have had a great experience dancing at the studio and would recommend it to anyone who wants to dance because JHDC warmly invites everyone to dance, grow in technique, become part of the community at JHDC, and have fun!

I started taking Hip hop and Belly Dance a few years ago here then moved. The availability was great so I was excited to return..however when I got back to Chicago and looked up the prices...they had become WAY too expensive. And there is not much discount when you take more than one class...isnt there supposed to be an advantage to buying in bulk???..WOW ultra disappointed

I live right by this and see the classes everyday when i pass by. The dancers are excellent because they are taught by great teachers. They also have more dance classes to choose from other than Ballet.

Unpretentious place but very poorly run..unorganized and the teacher my daughter had for ballet was in sweatpants...too lax for me..schedules changed last minute and some parents werent notified.
