This is a great place to learn how to Salsa. I like the curriculum, which is structured to take you through different levels. Lisa and Andres (the owners) are very welcoming and treat you like family. I occasionally go to Latin Street Studio parties, and I feel like Im going back "home", back to the place that taught me how to dance. You dont need a partner when you go, since all of the classes are gender balanced in advance. The thing that I like about Latin Street is that the idea is to just have fun. Whether you are a great dancer or not, whether you are catching on quickly enough or not, there is no pressure. I also love the fact that it is so diverse - you can meet so many different people. Another nice feature is that you can substitute in other classes if they need people as long as you are enrolled in another class. I took a "Blind Salsa" class basically for free, since I subbed in. That class taught me to learn how to really follow and not anticipate the moves that the lead was going to do. The other thing that I like about Latin Street is that they do a great job of creating a community. Lisa teaches Salsa classes at some of the Summer Dance events, and there are usually a lot of Latin Street Dancing students there. When you are in one of Lisas dance classes, she encourages you to learn the names of the people you are dancing with- I really like that- it makes things more comfortable and personal. If you want to learn how to Salsa (they teach other kinds of dance too), I think that Latin Street is a great choice.

Touba and Steve are awesome, friendly and entertaining instructors. The rooms are well-equiped with large mirrors and you will never hear music from other studio rooms. They have classes Monday through Sunday. Be prepared for classes to be cancelled or imbalanced with women and men. Do no fret because that is just the nature of the business. Help out and become a fill in for classes that need extra leads (men) or follows (women).

Ive been taking classes here for a few years now. I went from not being able to stay on beat all the way to performing salsa at shows. This is probably the friendliest place to learn how to dance salsa in the city and the atmosphere is very positive. Dont fret if you dont think you can dance or if you dont have a friend to go your in good hands.
