I am currently have Julie as an instructor for Salsa 2.I also had her for Salsa 1. She is an excellent instructor and I have learned so much from her. She takes her time and does a fantastic job. She has NO PROBLEM with correcting you if a mistake is made. I was in class the day the previous reviewer showed up for a makeup class. She was extremely rude to the instructor and became frustrated because she could not keep up with the basic dance steps during the warm up exercise. ( It was apparent that she has absolutely NO DANCE experience at all). Not to mention, the heels of shoe were way to high for someone who was was not comfortable with basic steps . I personally believe that it not fair when people post a review that just isnt true. If you seriously want to learn Salsa in a friendly environment consider Latin Rhythms Dance .

With three classes at once and only curtains to separate the "rooms" its difficult to hear your instructor over all the noise. Julie taught salsa to cha cha music, and she was not helpful. People get through the classes without having major errors corrected. Either Julie isnt doing her job and teaching, or she doesnt know how to salsa... Shes probably a great dancer, so Im guessing its studio policy not to correct students too much so as not to scare them away. If you want someone to tell you youre dancing well when youre not, go to Latin Rhythms Dance. If you want to actually learn, go elsewhere.

I recently went to Latin Rhythms Dance for a social and I was impressed with the facility, quality of dancers, and musical selection. I have gone to a half dozen socials since moving to Chicago but the one at Latin Rhythms was the best by far. People were very kind and willing to dance, the music was very unique (bachata remixes not available on spotify), and the decorations were beautiful. The only criticism I have is that the studio was quite warm but that is to be expected on a hot summer night. Definitely going back in the future!

I have been taking classes at this studio for almost a year now. And while many hobbyists come and go, the core group of individuals who regularly attend this studio are true artists, with an inconceivable passion for dance arts & Latin culture, which can be witnessed at one of their socials or scheduled performances. Artistry is nurtured at Latin Rhythms . Kudos to the instructors and the supportive community they have fostered at the studio.

I went to Latin Rhythms for five months and I have to say I was really impressed with this dance school. The instructors are VERY good with their instruction and patient. I also think the price for the classes are reasonable and they have a great schedule to fit my busy schedule. Anyone interested in learning salsa or any other latin dancing should go to this school. Another thing is that its not intimidating at all.

I started taking classes here by myself over a year ago and now not only am a stud on the dance floor, but I have a ton of friends to go dancing with any night of the week! The instructors are incredible and the classes are so much fun. Hands down, this is a great place to start dancing.

The best. I have been going here for the last 4 years. The instructors are all different but equally as qualified, patient and easy going. You wont go anywhere else once you start coming here.
