I used to love this place, was a great place to grab some great vegetarian/vegan food that was full of flavor and didnt feel too heavy. So the last few times my fiance and I had been there, the prices were higher, the quality was lower, and the service was awful. The potstickers appetizer we order felt unimaginative and tasted very bland. It then took 30-40 min to get our entrées, after watching people who arrived after us receiving theirs first. When they did finally arrive, they were tepid. The sweet potatoe fries were limp from sitting, the blind faith burger was dry, and her bowl was just not good. So, after eating what we could stomach, we waited close to an hour for our check, or for our waiter to check on us. Oh, the kicker? They were not busy, just lazy and/or unorganized and the manager seemed annoyed that we complained about our experience, acted like we somehow were interrupting his social time to let him know of some of the issues we had encountered at his restaurant. Decided after that to never return to the restaurant, as there are better, cheaper, friendlier options not too far away and well worth the extra car time to avoid bf at any cost. Amazingly, I did order the burger once since through some delivery service and it was at my door in less than 10 mins - which is about how long it takes to drive from there to here..... suspicion began to sink in. The burger I received was frozenish in the middle, fries were nuked, and it became evident that they were either premade and frozen, or just frozen premade foods. Tested my theory, bought a bunch of different frozen veg burgers, Dr. Praeger was close, but qrunch burgers were spot on, they were the bf burger. The kicker? I didnt have to pay $13 to have one, I paid $5 or $6 bucks for four premade frozen burgers. Blind faith has gone downhill in a major way, and their letting their customers down and their reputation flounder to the point of no return.

The Blind Faith Café is all the rave now and days! This magnificent restaurant is not only for vegetarians but vegans too! Their prices range from $2.00-$14.00, this includes soups, vegetables, enchiladas, garden salads, pastas, and sandwiches. There are usually people always sitting enjoying themselves but in most cases, never a wait. Their tables are always clean and their centerpieces are to die for! Never will you see old wilting flowers, forever fresh flowers with variety of colors. The aroma of the room is not only welcoming but a place for your family too. Or somewhere you would perhaps read a book or work on your laptop. The noise level is nearly above a whisper and their music is what will help you relax the most, their settle sounds but with enough spark to keep you jazzed up and blissful. I had the hummus dip with the avocado salad, and to drink their white tea latte. This was astounding! The salad was crisp and their tomatoes were juicy with the crispy cucumbers. I personally loved the Blind Faith Café and will be coming back, I would recommend this to anybody!

By Songsparrow on June 4, 2009 Blind Faith was my favorite restaurant in the entire world for at least 23 years.. theres a new chef in town who has changed all that... and the owner must be having a mid life crisis..because he decided to change everything that was wonderful about the place. He changed the entire menu...giving less food and raised the prices...hmmmm so less food for more $$... and the food isnt even good anymore. The Summer Trio of hummus has the consistency of baby vomit; and they took all sides off the menu because they want it to appeal to a different crowd now...and dont want people just ordering a bunch of sides.. Why, I ask.. you still have to pay for them. Anyway, youve lost me as a customer...and all my friends who I used to meet there for many years.. Youre too pricey for too little food...and youve gotten too snobbish. You need to change your name because youre no longer the same restaurant... I wont be going back.

For more than 20 years, Blind Faith had been our favorite restaurant, because the food and the service were consistently excellent. However, recently with the higher prices, we have not gone there in a long time. Today we stopped in for lunch. Big mistake. I ordered a burrito ranchero which was very spicy. The waiter was very apologetic and allowed me to order something else. I ordered the BF burger which came on greasy bread, which I also ended up sending back. For the burrito I had so specify I wanted brown rice. For the burger, I had to specify I wanted whole wheat bread. What happened to the healthy vegan food that BF used to excel at? Many menu items are dairy, with no mention on the menu that they can be made vegan. My husband ordered the Mediterranean wrap (hummus and vegetables) which was good - pretty good hummus, which he graciously shared with me. The best vegan restaurant still remains my kitchen.

I USED to love this restaurant. They were very accommodating to an individuals diet limitations. Things have changed, Im guessing its a budget thing, but this place is NOT the same as it used to be. You will find a lot of their daily menu items not available, and items that would be easily veganized are pre-made (PRE-MADE!!!) and therefore cannot be made vegan. The service does not reflect the menu pricing, a lot of waiters seem like Northwestern students expecting a good tip because they are at a restaurant that has (or had) a great reputation, not any amazing servers here. Being a vegan, I love taking an adventure to get a good meal, after being repeatedly disappointed I have decided to make my dining experience elsewhere. You all have heard of this place because it used to be GREAT, I dont know what, but things have changed, and this is NOT the same experience as what you might have hoped.

Whatever the cause may be, the food and service have taken a serious turn for the worse. I have continued to give the restaurant chances simply because I had so many good experiences. In the last couple years, however, theyve changed their menu. Old standards that I had come to love have either completely disappeared or have been replaced by bland, lifeless, barely recognizable representations of themselves. As for service... They have now twice silently substituted items I ordered without asking nor warning they were going to do so. Inexcusable. I will not be returning.

This is a great vegetarian place in a village with an eclectic, university atmosphere. I had the Sweet Potato Fries and the Bim Bim Bap. They were a great price for the quantity and quality, and lasted me 3 meals. I have food sensitivities, which they accommodated by modifying the dish. I had to take away one star because they have soy in almost everything, so my options here are very limited. Since it is really far from my home, I would not drive all the way down here to eat. If you are in the area, you should definitely check this place out.

A shockingly awful experience. They seem to think that because they are green they dont need to bother themselves with satisfying customers or providing value for money. I went at lunchtime. There was no kids menu and they wouldnt offer half portions either. 2 very average sandwiches, 2 coffees and 1 soup cost us $38.50 - and the waitress made no attempt to hide her annoyance at the size of our tip. If you love being condescended to, bland food and generally being ripped off, this is the pace for you. I can safely say I wont be going back.
