Very poor experience with a shop that claims to be the best. I smashed my 530i last year, Glenview Auto Body was recommended by Fields BMW, so i assumed theyd be great. (BTW i found out that the owner of FIelds daughter is married to the owner of Glenview Auto Body---that is the only reason they recommend them) Anyways, they told me my car would be done in 3 weeks, they had it literally for 2 MONTHS AND 3 WEEKS!!! YES! basically 3 months! They charged my insurance the absolute MAX they could charge. They talk to you like youre an absolute moron because they like you to feel they have everything under control and you are just being anal. After 3 months you would think the car would look brand new, since i could have custom built one and had it shipped from germany in lesser time. NO! They did an unbelievably shi*ty job. The doors (which were smashed) didnt align with the front 1/4 panel; there were random parts of my car in the backseat. ALSO, i am fully convinced they switched out one of my headlights and put in an older, scratched up, yellowish one. I had never had to change any light bulbs or headlights and yet there are gashes under my hood where the headlight was forced out. I eventually got over all this, because you cant do much about proving anything. I think they take so long on the cars so that when you get it back after so many months you dont even care what it looks like and you wont remember how much better it used to drive before they switched out all your parts for Tims fathers 5 SERIES!! I just got into another accident last month, went to visit the car at a different body shop the other day and they said "I dont know where you took your car last time... I cant believe they gave it back to you like this." I could NOT BELIEVE the way they painted the car underneath it all--areas that are not visible to the eye (that you would only see if you take the car apart). And I was always skeptical about the parts they put on my car being the original BMW parts my insurance paid for. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO GLENVIEW AUTO BODY! They are not worth the headache.

I took my car into glenview auto body based on the fact that they are down the street from my work and they did the body work on a fleet account we maintain. My vehicle is a saturn sky (very unique vehicle) the right door and the quarter panel had to be replaced. Time estimated was 3 weeks... ended up being over a month. (6 weeks) When I got my car back, the interior was covered in sanding dust, the trunk didnt close right (which than they told me they dont get paid to align it, even though they had to remove it) the rear lights didnt work, the taillight housings werent even bolted down (screws were missing), the trunk leaks water still to this day. The door doesnt shut correctly, the window doesnt roll all the way up when the door is closed because of an alignment issue. There was a rattle in the door, when I opened the door panel, I saw that there were missing nuts and bolts and the wiring for the speakers and the window motor were all butchered up. And lastly the front left fender was missing a bolt. (Which I was told did not come out, but its a lie because the fender over laps the quarterpanel which was replaced) I noticed all of these issue because I am a certified technician and know my car inside and out. I feel bad for all the cars that go in and out of there with terrible quality and the owners handing over their hard earned money without knowing how terrible of a service they are receiving. I cant believe they are still in business...

Glenview Auto Body has been repairing my families cars for over 20 years. They are absolutely the best in the business. Unfortunately, I have had to bring my car there twice in the past 2 months (not my fault). They do amazing work, but it is never a good thing when you have to see them that often. They are quick, reliable, and most importantly they are trustworthy. This is definitely not a shop where you feel like you are being taken advantage of. I always know I am going to get my car back in perfect shape - often better than it was before.

I would not recommend Glenview Auto Body after my experience. As a student unfamiliar with Illinois body shops, I took a gamble on this one and regretted it. There were many problems from start to finish for a repair that should have taken a week and took two months. My advice to anyone thinking of spending their hard earned money repairing their car would be to look hard before choosing a body shop. And think twice before committing to this one.

Brought in my car after getting rear ended. They said it would take 5-7 days to get fixed. Its been over 30 days now and Im still waiting for it. They dont call you to give you an update on whats going on with your vehicle. I always had to call them and receive a lame excuse about the wrong parts being ordered. Hopefully Ill get it back today but Im not optimistic.

If you want a shop that takes over two months for simple repairs and you like being treated like an idiot this is the place for you! Blaming others for their own mistakes, being extremely condescending, and being completely unhelpful on simple questions is par for the course at Glenview Auto Body. I cannot say it more strongly, run the other way!

Not a place to repair your car, rude estimater
