As told to me by my father: On June 14th, I took my vehicle into your location #776155, and received an oil change. I paid for the service and left the dealership. About 12miles from your location, the vehicle started to backfire. I begin to call Midas. I did not an answer. I kept attempting to call but no one would answer the phone. Therefore, I began to head back towards your Midas location. I called again and your assistant manager, Mr. Donald Toussaint, stated for me to bring the car back. I informed him I was in route. The vehicle backfired again and gave out. Please keep in mind that at this time I am in the heat with grandson. We walked to the nearest a gas station and there was a man who said he would take a look under the hood. When he checked he was able to assess that there was absolutely NO OIL in the car!!!! He put 2 quarts of oil in the car. However, the car still would not start up. During this time I called Midas to make them aware that the car would not make it back to their location. On June 18th, I had my vehicle towed back to your location where I provided my paperwork to your Assistant Manager, Donald Toussaint, to prove my position. Mr. Toussaint completely denied any responsibility and would not return my paperwork. He continued to swiftly walk away towards his office stating “We’re not liable, we not liable!” I follow demanding my paperwork back then. He closed the door on me and as I continue to beat on the door demanding my paperwork and making a scene he eventually opened the door and I noticed that he had modified my paperwork. The bad thing for Mr. Toussaint is that he just modified the handwritten notes, because I didn’t give him the printed copy of my receipt that has my credit card receipt stapled to it. And it shows that the only technician recommendations that my vehicle had were for the air filter and headlight! I called Mr. Toussaint to the carpet about his unethical actions and put him on notice that I was going to corporate, every social media and everyone that I come in contact with and share my terrible experience your company. I am livid about the treatment I received and the complete disregard for my business, unprofessionalism, and unaccountability for the staff. This is totally unacceptable!!!!! My engine is locked due to you company not completing a job that they were paid to complete.

May be good for very basic services such as oil change, tire rotations, etc. but I would be very careful with their up selling tactics, especially if (and I hate to say this) you are a woman. I went in for oil change and tire rotation because I had a coupon. I also wanted an exhaust check because my muffler had become loud. I did end up getting that work done there because I texted a friend who I trust and asked him what a fair price would be for the work and they were right in the ballpark. However, they also told me I needed both front and rear strut assemblies...well, I had front done a few years ago and....here is the funny part...the rear done at a Midas location in Oak Lawn only 6 months ago. No one there could really answer the question of what would warrant me needing this service, especially the rear, since it had been less than a year since it was done. Under the advice from someone I know who is experienced in all facets of the auto industry, I am leaving well enough alone and I wont be going back there for any services.

Thank goodness Jiffy Lube is just across the street from the main street, Halsted, Il 1. If you go there with a coupon, one of the Managers Paul Panozzo wont give you service. I went to the branch with my wifes toyota camry 97 with a 17 point oil change for 19.99. It was 5:03 pm Friday Sept 11.2009. The shop closes at 6:00 pm. As soon as I approached a bell was rung and two bays were empty. Paul rushed out to service my car. As I walked toward the counter, he noticed that I had a coupon. He bluntly told he wasnt going to be able to service my car and to come back the next day. This is not the first time he has done this. I went there with my other car and he told a sob story about how he did not have a particular wrench to take the oil filter off. Go to Jifft Lube instead.

I was devastated to hear that I needed my calibers, brakes, and rotors repaired upon an inspection today. AJ and David explained why it was necessary to replace them and assured me that they would do their best to finish the job in a timely manner. Both AJ and David checked on me periodically; updating me on the status of my car, showing me the parts they needed to replace and thoroughly explaining how each part was interconnected to the other. Additionally, they offered me beverages and jokes :) as courtesy. I left their shop feeling safe in my vehicle and knowing that my car was serviced by trained specialists. The entire staff was helpful and efficient! I would highly recommend their services!

Had a rear brake job and muffler replacement done. Havent had problems so far with the exhaust, but the rear brakes hadnt worked right since. Finally got the chance to bring my vehicle back in to a different Midas location to get it double checked, and the drums pretty much just fell off after they removed the wheels, they were that loose. The incompetent buffoons had neglected to adjust the new pads they put on outwards... thereby preventing them from even touching the drums. I drive a stick shift, I kind of need those to work for parking.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They swindled my niece out of over $1000 and her car still isnt fixed. I plan on A) telling anyone and everyone to never give this place their business. And B) getting my nieces money back. She is the mother of three children caring for them while her husband is stationed with the Marines. Obviously they figured she was an easy target, but they didnt account for me.

Their customer service is poor; also, give false advertisement. If they are in a group for coupons, they should grant the coupon price regardless mobile app or paper. The coupon price offers mobile and paper. They need to grant the customer both as well or state it on the coupon. Just poor BUSINESS. Take your business off the coupon site if you do not want to grant that price!

I NEEDED A WHOLE EXHAUST REPLACEMENT. MIKE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE DIAGNOSIS AND FULLY EXPLAINED MY OPTIONS ABOUT THE REPAIRS. I AM TOTALLY SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE OF MIKE. I WILL RECOMMEND THIS MIDAS FOR ALL CAR REPAIRS. ALSO I WILL BE A RETURNING CUSTOMER AS WELL. JOB WELL DONE AND KEEP UP THE GREAT CAR AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I got to know the friendly staff there, and although i may have waited a while for my service, it was more than worth the wait. They did an awesome job working with mein making an informed decision, and Id suggest that you do yourself a favor, and give these people the chance to impress you too!

I would highly recommend going to this shop! The mangers ben and dustin are so helpful and professional! They explain everything to you and dont talk to you like you dont know anything! Even the techs in back were good when explaining and showing to me what was wrong with my vehicle!
